Gift Cards Didn't Work

We had two Skip the Dishes gift cards each valued at $100. When we attempted to use the cards one worked (but only for $50) the other didn't work at all. I was unsuccessful trying to reach customer support either by phone or email. They cannot be reached. A bad experience with this company.

Horrible company

Horrible company. Every single time we order, something is missing, it’s cold or they spill things. You have to tip the driver before you order, then when you get awful service and complain, specifically due to the driver’s actions, they refuse to refund the tip amount. They are also over priced. They charge you delivery fees, and service fees, then charge the restaurants a percentage too, making it hard for them to make profit. Good concept, horrible company. Use one of the other services.

Skip the dishes call 855-200-7547, press 1 → 2 → 1

If you have issues, call 855-200-7547, press 1 → 2 → 1. This is technically for restaurants. They’ll tell you they can’t help—but just keep calling. It’s on their dime.

I ordered my food at 9:05. They took the money, then canceled at 9:15. First off, I don’t think they should be pulling money before confirming the order is even available. Then I’m told the refund will take 5 days.

So I emailed them:

1st email: nice reminder
2nd email: more stern after no reply or action
3rd email: very stern after still nothing

No replies at all.

Then I went to online chat to ask for a refund and compensation.

First agent said the refund was sent. When I asked for compensation (because people at Skip are paid to do a job, and it wasn’t done properly, costing me my time), they disconnected the chat.
Second chat: same thing—they said refund was sent (I didn’t see it in my bank), then disconnected.
Third chat: kept saying “we are working on it,” then disconnected when I didn’t reply within 30 seconds.

Honestly, I’m pretty sure it was AI.

After about 30 minutes of digging, I found the phone number above. If you go through customer service, it just tells you to email or use chat, then disconnects. So I went through the restaurant/customer service option instead.

I finally got a real person. She actually tried to help by calling customer support internally, but they just told her to tell me to use chat. I pushed back, and she eventually just said goodbye. To be fair, she was probably the only real person in that whole process.

After calling 11 times, they finally said customer service would call me back. We’ll see.

At this point, they put the refund into Skip credits.

I honestly think they do this hoping you won’t bother using it because of how bad the experience is. I expected the refund to go back to my original payment method, and maybe credits as compensation for all the time wasted—not the other way around.

If I pay money for something and they can’t provide it, I expect the money back where it came from. At the very least, they should ask how I want the refund. Because after hours of chasing them with no replies and terrible service, the last thing I want is to be forced to use their platform again. At this point I have well over 4 hours into this order #750874054

Pizza Order - App Glitched - Never Placed Order But App Ordered Anyway

I ordered a pizza from SkipTheDishes. The application phone would not authenticate my VISA card and the app showed that my order was not placed. I did this 3 times in a row and the same thing happened - it kept showing that they couldn't authenticate my VISA and that the order was not placed. My friend and I proceed to plan a pizza order over the phone (to a different Pizza shop) and drove over to pick up the pizza. After we picked up the Pizza and were heading back I got a notification from SkipTheDishes that my pizza that I ordered would be delivered soon - unbelievable! I wrote to customer service for SkipTheDishes through my application and explained what happened and that I had already picked up a pizza because the app would not allow me to place an order - the customer service didn't care and just argued with me. This has been the poorest customer service I have received ever from any online ordering platform! I do not recommend ordering from SkipTheDishes in Canada -terrible customer service and you will not be refunded if the app glitches.

Health Inspectors where are you

Health Inspectors where are you? Filthy Skip the Dishes delivery bags are routinely placed on restaurant tables and cashier counters. Germs, germs, germs from countless car floorboards and other establishments contaminate everything. What an embarrassing image for Skip.

I believe Skip is responsible for the misunderstanding.. and owes me for the "NON-burger"

My complaint is regarding the McDonald's menu on your app. My complaint is: I ordered a BigMac Xtra Value Meal, paid almost $25-goddamn dollars!..And, received 2-pieces of bread soaked in mayo and lettuce with NO MEAT!

The fries were cold, and the only part of the meal that was even helf-decent was the baked apple pie and the lrg coke!

My suggestion regarding the McD's menu on your app.. is: Switch the location of your "NON-MEAT" BigMac.. b/c it is NOT IN FACT a BigMac.. it's not even what I would consider a "Veggie Burger".. It's disgustiing, is what it is..

Regardless, of the fact that my order was wrong b/c of something I don't feel is my fault.. Should I have looked a little closer, possibly, but #1 I wasn't expecting a non-meat item to be categorized with the MEAT-ITEMS in the first place, and #2. Why should have I had to look at it and study the menu items, when this item is CLEARLY in the wrong spot on Skip's menu, and they should be responsible for the misunderstanding, and come good for it!! BUT, b/c of the fact that I didn't think to take a picture of the "non-meat" burger b4 tossing it in the garbage, they wouldn't refund me. I wasn't asking for a complete refund..

I was asking for a refund for the non-meat burger b/c the misunderstanding is not my fault.. it's SKIP'S. And, with the money this business makes hand-over-fist from doing deliveries across this country on an daily basis, one would tend to think that customer satisfaction would take presidence over an $8.00 burger that isn't even worth $8.00.

BUT, if it's going to remain an item on the McD's menu b/c obviously some people like it or they wouldn't have it on their menu.. at least move this item to the SALAD SECTION, so that people who want to order a HAMBURGER at a HAMBURGER food joint.. actually gets the MEAT in between the soggy bread pieces, and not that crap by accident.

They cancelled my order and refused to refund my money

I'll share my experience for those thinking about using Skip the Dishes. I ordered food and paid by credit card. The order was never processed. Skip cancelled the order and blamed the merchant. I got an email saying that I will receive Skip credits for the money they received but if I want a refund I can ask online chat. Online chat tells me they can't refund and ends the chat. I had to open a dispute with my credit card to get my money back. BEWARE. Their reviews are horrible.

Worst Customer Service

SkipTheDishes has been a huge disappointment. I reached out because my father accidentally damaged his gift card, and despite providing all the information and photos they asked for, they have completely ignored me. It’s been weeks with no resolution and no one responding to my emails. I’ve followed up multiple times and still nothing.

Customer service should actually serve customers — especially when the issue is legitimate and easy to verify. I would not recommend this company or use it again.

Skip driver kicked my door

I just had the most horrific and traumatizing experience of my life. I am a single woman with agoraphobia, which means I don’t like to leave my house unless absolutely necessary. It’s very hard for me. Tonight, I decided to treat myself to celebrate something. There was a mishap, and my order was only partially completed. I’m not sure if it was my error or the delivery service’s mistake. When I asked the driver about my Timbits and donuts (I ordered from TH), he said, “No, just this.” Unsure, I asked him to wait a moment. He became rude and raised his voice. I have PTSD, so I panicked and shoved the drink at him, meaning “Here, take it back.” As I tried to close the door, he stuck his foot in the doorway. When I finally managed to shut the door, the male driver kicked it so hard that the door and hinges shook. Even worse, customer service called it an “inconvenience” instead of an attempted attack. What would he have done if the door had broken? I’m terrified and will never use those delivery services again. These are the contracted people they hire—people who terrify women? Then they offered me $5 for my trouble. How dare they? The order cost $15. I’m filing a police report tomorrow. I’m still shaking. This is not healthy or normal behavior. I dread to think what could have happened if the door had broken. I’m considering speaking to a lawyer. This was unbelievably wrong. I also have proof—a camera with audio and video is installed right above my door.
