Great day out on the gulf

Great day out on the gulf, boat was clean and all set up for the day. Reliable and safe performance which is a must when you are taking your family out on the water.
Instructions made everything very straight forward.
Caught ourselves a feed and all home safe.

great boating option

Ive been a member of Skipperi for a couple of years now. I'd previously co-owned a boat but needed a new option once we decided to sell. This is an excellent and simple way to get on the water with little to no stress and worry with all the maintenance, w.o.fs, services etc you have to do with you own boat looked after instead by Skipperi. Launching and retrieving is a breeze as the boats are kept moored and tied to pontoons at the Skipperi base at Westhaven, and now there are other options where boats are kept more of the gulf is opened up for exploring. Boats are up spec'd with excellent gear. Looking forward to getting back out there!

No sweat-no bother

Skipperi is truly a most professional outfit and has made boating for me, in Auckland, easy and affordable. For the 18 months that I have been boating with Skipperi, I have found the boats to be completely reliable, but also have the peace of mind knowing that there is always a duty officer to call in the event of any boat or booking issue.
The morning/afternoon bookings are a little short in the winter months but Skipperi have now made it easier to secure all-day slots. Then its up to the weather!

Rotten fish nest with inadequate customers service

Once upon a time, there was a subscription boat renting company #Skipperi, that provided its customers with a video tutorial on how to clean their boats after usage. The company requested that customers leave the boats clean and tidy, and they even provided a tutorial to show us how it was done.

Being the diligent and responsible customer that I am, I followed the tutorial to the letter. I scrubbed, I wiped, I hosed down, I brushed, and I disposed of all the dirt and debris as instructed. Yet, every time I reported that the boats were left messy, the company did nothing about it. All I received were useless notifications in their application reminding people to clean the boats.

Then came the day when I rented the "fishing-free" boat, which turned out to be the dirtiest, smelliest, and most disgusting boat I had ever seen. There were human hair, dirt, rotting fish flash, and scales all around the boat, which not only grossed me out but also posed a serious health and safety threat.

I sent the company photos of the boat's condition as they had asked, and what was their response? They claimed that their crew, who was "looking after the boat," had used it and left it tidy. They even had the audacity to suggest that I, the customer who followed their tutorial, did not know how to identify the stench of fish and the presence of fish flash scattered all over the boat's surface.

I was incredulous! I had followed their tutorial to the letter, and I knew what a clean boat looked and smelled like. I sent them an email expressing my utter disbelief and disappointment with the way they handled the situation. I demanded that they take immediate action to address the issue and provide compensation for the cleaning expenses I incurred.

But what did the company do? They terminated my contract with them, effective immediately! Can you believe it? All because I dared to complain about their neglect and disregard for my complaints and the evidence I provided.

Well, I suppose it's for the best. I mean, who needs a company that doesn't take their customers seriously anyway? And let's not forget their useless tutorial, which apparently no one follows, not even their own crew.

So, if you ever find yourself renting a boat from this company, don't bother with their tutorial. Just bring a hazmat suit and a gallon of bleach, and you might survive the experience. And as for the company, I suggest they hire a new crew, one that knows how to clean a boat properly and doesn't leave rotting fish flash lying around.

In conclusion, this tale is a cautionary one. It reminds us to always speak up when we are not satisfied with a company's service, but also to be prepared for the consequences. And, of course, to always bring a hazmat suit when renting a boat from Skipperi.

Thank you for your feedback which we take seriously.

In the past year, you have used our boats more than 50 times, which shows that the Skipperi service obviously has given you a lot of happy memories. However, your tone towards our staff in regards to issues was unacceptable.

We take boat cleanliness seriously and our team works tirelessly to ensure the service runs smoothly. We have a 24/7 operations number that subscribers can call at any time to report any issues with the boats. If you had reported the issue promptly, we could have swapped you to another boat and sent a member of the team to investigate outside of already scheduled daily boat checks.

We wish you the best in your future boating endeavours outside of Skipperi.
Best regards, The Skipperi Team
