A Small Step Up From Scam Artists - Send Damaged Goods & Refuse Refunds

This was the first time I have used skinhut and will certainly be the last.

I ordered a gift set for a friend’s birthday of three luxury bubble baths. These arrived heavily damaged as a result of inadequate packaging. The box was ripped and crushed and the bottles had come loose, resulting in open leaking from what I assume was a cracked lid.

I immediately informed skinhut and provided photos asking for a refund and return. They advised I could return the item but it would be at my cost and they would not refund my original postage.

When I wrote back to them to advise that was illegal under the consumer goods act (as the item was faulty they need to provide a full refund, including original and return postage) and asked for a pre paid return label they have ignored me. I have now chased them up for several days and am clearly being intentionally ignored.

They are clearly aware they are breaking the law but don’t care. I will be raising a case against them with the trading standards agency.

I recommend everyone avoids them unless you want to end up with unstable garbage and be left out of pocket - they’re only a very small step up from scam artists.

Hall of infamy

I paid for next day delivery and didn’t get any delivery the next day. the sweetener was that they delivered the wrong item and asked me to post it back to them. Wait….. there’s more; once they process the return (ie found out who made the mistake) then they might provide correct item if it’s available. Great site if you enjoy being deprived of your rights
