Excellent quality and customer experience
Excellent experience from start to finish - really happy with the quality of the windows and the installation. I have twice used them to do two sets of very different windows (one sash with an arch), and the process of ordering and surveying for each was very easy, and the team at SJB were always on hand to answer any queries. They also suggested all the various sash pulls etc to be of the style of the rest of the building.
The installations were very efficient both times, and the finish was very professional.
Would certainly advise paying for the quality they offer, and will be a repeat customer if I need any further windows.

Very good, but not without problems
Overall very good, but with a glaring exception. I asked for one of the sashes in the bathroom to be clear instead of frosted glass. When I came home the day they installed the bathroom windows, I noticed that all the glass was frosted. I checked the spec, and my request for one sash clear was very clearly specified. I contacted them and was very disappointed with their attitude. Their first response was, 'Have you considered leaving things as they are?' This was a transparent attempt to avoid making good on something that was clearly their mistake. I said no, I wanted what I paid for, and they said it would be 'very quick' to sort out. I was going on holiday and they said the clear glass would be ready when I was back. As it turned out, it was over 3 weeks after my return before things were rectified - and in all that time I wasn't able to open my bathroom windows as they were screwed shut. Otherwise the installation went well and the windows are excellent - a shame about this incident with the bathroom.

We did and still do apologise for the issue with the frosted glass but would like to point out that although this was human error and does happen from time to time, we certainly offered a gesture to keep the window as it came. We did say straight away this was our issue and of course accepted we needed to resolve this so there was no attempt to avoid correcting the situation. This can be proven by our email thread and saddened to think you would believe we would try to avoid any responsibility at all.
Usually this would be a very quick fix but have found over the last couple of months glass supplies have been very slow or even being sent back after failing our quality control. This of course does delay the process, however we are more concerned about a quality product (as you mentioned earlier in your review) than how quickly we can turn this around. I would like to assure all future clients that quality is above all else.
Overall I'm glad the windows are 'excellent' and would like to thank you for this as this will of course help us to review our processes and make improvements for the future.

Started off very well but went a bit downhill.....
The initial consultation and survey visits were great, very helpful and informative. Communication with the office was also good. But sadly we had a less happy experience with the fitting team. The job over-ran, which was not the end of the world, but I felt the attention to detail on the finish was disappointing. The issues were ultimately resolved, but only after I asked the surveyor to come out and look at the issues himself - he acknowledged that there were a number of things which needed to be rectified. The windows themselves are fine, and I can see that most people have had a happy experience, but I was left feeling a bit a bit flat.

Outstanding windows and fitting experience
An outstanding experience from start to finish. Measuring up and specification process was great. And any queries were handled politely and promptly by the office. And the fitting couldn’t have been better. Jon and Joby arrived promptly every day, made sure everything was protected and then cleared up afterwards at the end of the day. They were friendly and courteous, making sure we knew the status and plans.
We had 9 windows and 2 doors, so not a small job. The windows and doors themselves are of very high quality and the fitting is faultless including plastering where required so all we have to do is some decorating to make it all good.
Couldn’t recommend enough!

Excellent quality and service
We got three of our windows in a period property replaced with double glazed windows from SJB Sash Windows after two of our neighbours had recommended them. We have not been disappointed: the windows are beautifully finished, and were put in without drama by very courteous and extremely hardworking installers. The experience was so positive we are going to replace other windows in our house with SJB sash windows too.

Outstanding and impeccable service
This company has the highest standards in all areas. Fantastic advice during the consultation (Paul was the perfect, non-pushy and knowledgeable consultant), a professional discussion throughout the survey visit (Terry took me through everything and reassured about the fitting), and faultless work during the fitting (Michael and Marcello, a dream team!). I needed to send documents to the management of my building and SJB were instantly able to supply these and highlight the quality of their work and their impeccable customer service. Michael and Marcello, who fitted the windows, were exceptional. Lovely, personable guys with a great sense of humour, but extremely diligent and incredibly hard working. The quality of their workmanship from the fitting, carpentry and masonry was outstanding. Post window fitting, I had a few questions and these were all answered swiftly and professionally by Jake, and resolved efficiently by Michael and Marcello. I met many window companies before choosing SJB and it came down to the fact that they oozed quality, had fantastic customer service and clearly understood my specific requirements. I am very fussy and have a forensic eye and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending SJB! Look no further!

Great company
We are very happy with the company, from the initial sale discussion, to the survey and installation of double sash windows. The team in charge of installing also plastered around the box c. 10c and painted a line on the ledgers outside - so now we only have to sand and paint inside and finish up painting outside for it to look complete.
