International billing fail
I tried to order a gift subscription for my sister but because I have a non USA based address the billing system wouldn’t work. I checked the FAQs. But there was no advice for my situation. I emailed and followed up asking customer service for help and they never bothered to reply.

$15 for four samples
$15 for four samples? Samples of tea I can get FREE by contacting any tea company? Awful. Sips By makes it seem this would be a wonderful gift idea. I would be mortified to have anyone receive this as a gift.
It's not really free shipping, you're paying $15 to get less than 2 ounces of tea samples sent to you. Um, that's some waaaaaaaaaaay overpriced fancy math "free" shipping!
UPDATE after ludicrous reply from company: More fancy math! 16 "cups" means you have to REUSE or RESTEEP your meager samples. That may be ok for some types of (green) tea, but most black and herbals get too bitter on a 2nd steep. They want you to reuse your 4 HALF OUNCE samples 4 times each to get 16 cups! Again, ludicrous. Further, I *did* ask for customer service support and was rudely told sorry, oh well, buy a subscription after your gift and we might help you then.
Oh wow, "free" shipping is now $16!! For 2 oz of product, some cotton drawstring bags and Oooo a printed card with your name on it containing some mumblings about your samples that month.
Please don't bother with this apathetic and banal little wannabe company.

Absolutely LOVE my monthly personalized tea box from Sips by. When you sign up you take a "tea preferences quiz" and they have an algorithm that uses these preferences to pick teas from 150+ different brands for you. Their picks have been awesome and have helped me discover new tea brands that I love, as well as new tea types that I had never tried before. Its perfect to take to the office or to try new teas at home! Such a fun, affordable way to discover new teas!
