While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

I only gave one star so I can write the review.
I tried to cancel right away as the site was crap. Immediately I tried to cancel and the words were tantamount to ' we havent finished setting up so you cant cancel'.
They took 49.99 anyway . I emailed them to cancel and 7 months later I have got a letter from a german debt collection agency called CMS.
This could interfere with my credit rating.
I think I will need to contact police in Luxembourg or germany ? Help

Terrible service and unauthorised attempts to take money, despite me cancelling well in advance of notice , they wouldnt remove my profile, then this morning they attempted to take 243 euros off my card, which luckily the bank blocked,
they make cancelling virtually impossible, seems to be many fake profiles,
and now they are threatening debt collectors
keep well away

Signed up two days ago after reading reviews of dating sites. Signed for one month, 9.99 euro. Before I went shopping today I checked my balance and this company has taken 149 euro from my account. I can not contact them except by email which I have done .. I can not cancel my account on my profile you can not see pictures on this site without a subscription. I genuinely thought I had researched this company but I have been completely fooled. First and last time to use any online dating sites. I now have to go through the humiliation of reporting it and trying to stop the payment through my card. Please please stay away if anyone has any experience with how to sort this I would be grateful
Update : 24 Oct 22
Contacted by their customer care and told that the prices offered are weekly rates not monthly this is not clearly stated but it is how they scam people they claim it is indicated in thier terms and conditions again which are vague and misleading. The site offers the prices per month in the options not weekly. They have refused to refund me saying I have used the product which other than one day prior to finding out they had taken a differant amount I have not. I have the subscription for 3 days only. I have now contacted the gardai and a solicitor. My bank is investigating. Lesson learnt its better to be single!

I joined for the month and had to get the Premium package to see respsonses - ok for a month I decided. I cancelled almost immeidately as realised that this is not what it claims to be. I followed the instructions : emailed on day 15 and posted a written letter that same day. Emails bounced back, but have them saved. Called my bank to cancel subscription and explained why and how I had cancelled within renewal timeframe. Got email today, saying URGENT, they want me to pay the subscription plus late fees and if I dont they will pass over "debt" to collection agencies!!!!
There is no phone number, there is no email address that is answered and the small print says the cancellation letter has to be in "BLOCK LETTERS", is that a loop hole or what?
Obviously if you are reading this, before you decide to sign up, you have some sense; but if like me you get sucked in by the enticing website, register and then do a background check ; cancel with immediate effect, keep your emails and proof of postage and eh dont forget your BLOCK LETTERS
I took out a one month membership for 19.99 not planning on extending the membership they renewed my membership and took 49.99 out of my account as they also upgraded to a premium membership and didn't want any of this and they have refused to refund the money they took from my account be very wary of this company I have been totally ripped off by them
I rarely write negative reviews but my experience with Singles50 obliges me to add my voice to others who feel scammed. Easy to join but very difficult to leave. Makes me very wary of subscribing to any monthly "service" from now on. After clearly emailing I wished to join only for one month, I was charged 2.5 times the initial monthly fee because I didn't unsubscribe via some impossible to find cancellation form which then had to be printed, signed, uploaded and returned 7 days before the unknown expiry date. Due to current circumstances, all that was difficult and time-consuming. Tantamount to sharp practices, and 2.5 times the initial subscription fee taken without my permission is theft! Consumer protection regulations need to be tightened.
All of us who feel scammed need to contact the Ombudsman, our public representatives or whoever. Other suggestions welcome.
The service's "Terms & Conditions" are very lengthy, and incomprehensible legalese provide cover for sharp practices. I felt ROBBED as many others have.
Scammers totally and absolutely. Avoid like the plague.
Complete scam and they will try everything to say you haven't contacted the to cancel your subscription!
Email address dont work, they ignore written letters and the number is a FAX.
Photos arent real - whole website is a scam...check out google for all the bad reviews!!!
They threaten you with debt collector when you cancel your subscription and they cant take payment!
