SINCE1982 Setup in 2015 by Artist and Designer Stephen Gibbs, to deliver ethical, thought provoking art & apparel. Designs often take inspiration from the North East’s deep historic heritage or obscure cult trends. All clothing is screen printed here in the North East. Stephen is trained as a contemporary artist and graphic designer and runs a design studio ‘Studio1982’. Since1982 was created as an outlet for personal design work. Stephen had previously been part of design-led wallet business ‘Boreal’. Boreal was formed by Stephen, Chris Barter (remaining member) www.borealwallets.com and Sally Smallwood now of www.wreckreation.co.uk and was part the ‘Starter for 10’ initiative led by Wayne Hemmingway and featured in Digital Arts Magazine. PHILOSOPHY To challenge the norm, challenging trends, ideas & ethics, using organic, sustainable materials that don’t exploit others, whilst maintaining the highest standards of comfort and quality.

I bought the T shirt for the design, the colour isn't really me but I think the burnt orange will look great with blue jeans.
I loved the free postcard with the same design included in the parcel.
The T shirt was beautifully packaged too.
A perfect gift for any Gateshead lad or lass from the 80s.
