Just completed Melissa Beegle's SPX 500/Day class (the class and 4 days of live trading). I've taken many classes at Simpler Trading and this is one of the very best. Apart from the technical aspect... See more

I've been with the Trendy room for many years now (even before Simpler). Jon and Melissa are the most transparent and process focused teachers for anyone that wants to learn how to trade. No gimmicks. No FOMO. No oversized leveraged lotto's. Just a sound trading process that includes risk management and identifying entries and exits. Plus their real-time (milliseconds) trade alerts is the true definition of transparency.

This is a review for Jon McKeever. He's lazy. He uses Melissa to do the hard labor and goes on vacation frequently. His trade alerts are not transparent. He does not share a chart that shows his hypothesis, why he entered and where he will exit. I believe that Simpler keeps him because he talks a good talk about his useless level indicators/levels and these produce revenue. There are better instructors and rooms at Simpler Trading. With Jon at the helm of this one, it's at the bottom of the barrel.

someone has specifically stated that they want you to feel they are trustworthy, then that would raise a red flag for me.
To actually be a trustworthy person in one thing. To make statements or speeches - particularly if they are recurring - on how trustworthy we are, is quite another.
Jon continually preaches that he is transparent. This is a red flag that he is not transparent.
Update: Simpler Trading reached out to me and refunded me the money I paid to enroll in what was billed as a "30-day challenge." If you're interested in taking any Simpler Trading courses, I encourage you to look at some of their reviews on Reddit. I will say that I learned about the thinkorswim platform from Tr3ndy, but that's about it. If you say you're going to post your trade alerts via an api, then these trade alerts should let you know ALL of the trades, not the curated version. The entire time Tr3ndy posted apis, while I subscribed, the alerts consisted of one contract, except the time there was 25 shares of AMD purchased and immediately sold for $257 while AMD continued to climb, so Jon, and anyone who followed his trade, left money on the table. I guess he's not so sure of his "Tr3ndy Edge," or why would he sell for $257 when AMD is probably going to hit at least $265 by eod tomorrow--11/04/2025. I said it, so you can subscribe to my Tr3ndy Edge.

I joined Simpler Trading a little over a year ago. Prior to joining the Mastering The Trade (MTT) room at Simpler, I was a lonely, mediocre, part-time trader. I had tried other communities but they weren’t right for me. Now I’ve started my own business and am a successful trader. What’s changed? It’s really simple😉…Simpler Trading. The team at ST is really incredible. Each trader has their own unique styles and tools and the MTT room allows you to get exposure to all of them. Once you see whom you relate with the most, you can decide to dedicate more time with them as many traders have their own room and indicators. All trades shared are the traders own money and you see the results live. However, it’s much more than a trade alert service. They actually teach you and give you the tools and resources to be successful in ANY market environment. For example, SPX was down 2.7% today and my account was up 2.4%. The only thing you need to do is get out of your own way and follow the process. What’s the process? You build a trading plan based upon what you’ve learned from ST. As for the cost of the service, it’s very reasonable. I’ve paid for the annual subscription in profits this week alone. Next month there is a ST summit in Austin, TX where I’m excited to meet the team in person. In summary, if you’re thinking about joining a trading community, I highly recommend Simpler. In my opinion there isn’t a better service out there. Thanks John C, Henry G, and Trendy Jon for helping this mediocre trader transform into a consistent, profitable, and success one.

My experience with SImpler Trading is superb to me for multiple reason. The technical side has never given me issue nor has the customer service department.. Moreover, I'm a one and done new trader to simpler. I went through all of the indicators and the one that fit my needs was Tr3ndy Jon's PMZ. I was a failed trader and the psychology of trading was running my responses. Upon joining that room I didn't become great right away, but that's due to me not following the trendy method. Getting FOMO of all other traders in the room's successes. Melissa, another Trendy coach along with Jon stepped in and responded to my questions. Just as helpful were the Tr3ndy family that felt my struggle. I found this out all in the first four weeks. I had to retrain my brain and although hard (older dogs new tricks) I'm finally a comfortable but moreover profitable trader. Don't get me wrong I dipped into the Squeeze-Pro indicator too...got to support John Carter but my home is the Tr3ndy Trading room. I turned several friends onto it too and none of them have regrets.
Sincerely.

I love the your platform, I started reading JC books and it lead me here. What an awesome place, this offers help to all type of traders. I ended up in Trendy John's room with Mel. I couldn't be happier! I started off as momentum trader and now I'm a supply and demand trader. The concept and ideas that John and Mel offer just make sense with buying in demand and selling in supply made sense. However, the most important thing is that they take time every mourning and teach you!!! If you have questions on charts, concepts, ideas..etc They'll help you out no matter what. More importantly, they make you feel like family! I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend them.

I have found the Trendy trading to be one of the best trading rooms available. Jon and Mellissa do a great job on eduction, setups, tools, etc. I have used other services and most of them are scams. Don't trade with a system unless you see what the traders are doing with their own money. the provide this visibility at simpler trading

Jonathan McKeever (Tr3ndy Jon) is simply a great teacher and trader! Every day he relentlessly emphasizes the methodology - the Tr3ndy edges, the pre-market zone, the daily/weekly trends, and how to use and interpret the fibonacci levels.
After 10+ years of trading I find learning from Jon and following his methods bring me the most consistent results.

Trendy Jon and Melissa are awesome teachers. I have learned so much since joining their service. I am here to stay.

I can’t thank Mel and Jon enough for what they’ve done for my trading journey. Two years ago, I had completely given up on trading after repeated failures. Since joining their room, I’ve not only regained confidence but also tripled my small account!
Jon’s stock picks and trade ideas are truly out of this world, with an impressive win rate that speaks for itself. Melissa’s charting skills and her ability to teach disciplined, rule-based trading have been a game-changer for me. Together, they provide exceptional setup entries and exits that consistently deliver results.
What sets them apart is how much they genuinely care—going out of their way to help both beginners and experienced traders. The energy in the room is positive, supportive, and friendly, with zero ego or confrontation.
I’m a far better trader today because of them, and I highly recommend their room to anyone serious about improving their trading.

a lot of information can be over whelming but once you digest a little each time. You'll realize its what you've been looking for the whole time. You like stocks( larger, mid, small cap) they have someone for that. Definitely the trading community Ive been looking.

I have been trying to learn how to trade for 20 - 30 years. Read a ton of books. Back in the day a lot of Van Tharp (but other stuff too). He used to say you don't need one system (which I didn't have) you need 6. One for up markets, down and sideways, Volatile and not volatile. Then I found Simpler I tried several traders but really didn't find one that resonated. Then came Sector Secrets Mastery with Raghee Horner and Lorna. First thing I saw/learned was an indicator (Free) that showed me WHAT the trend was. And a process that can be used in all those 6 market types. I stuck with it and eventually leaned all the "stuff" that was in Van Tharps "Super Trader" books/tapes etc is presented daily by Raghee and Lorna. Layers and layers of critical stuff is presented daily in Sector Secrets. It is an enjoyable way to learn this. Hands down the best place/environment to learn to become a successful trader. Raghee and Lorna are EXCELLENT traders and are equally EXCELLENT teachers. In terms of "how much can i make". What is priceless worth to you??? Priceless is presented every day ... so what is priceless compounded worth to you? This is stuff you will learn and keep the rest of your life. BTW I don't BS people... If i have nothing good to say I shut up. After tying to trade for 20+ years before.... I can do it successfully NOW.

I've been trading for over a decade now. And while I have had some moderate success, I had struggled to be as consistent as I want. I've been with Simpler for several years now and the education I've received in that time has been invaluable for my consistency. In particular, the Sector Secrets Mastery room with Raghee and Lorna has really helped me solidify a consistent process and risk management that have made all the difference. Thanks Simpler!

I am a subscriber to the Mavericks with Mike Teeto. I've been learning from him for 8 months. My small account has almost tripled! Easy low stress trades buying small caps, holding overnight and then selling the next morning for a profit over 80% of the time! He teaches you his patterns and strategies, completely transparent including losses. One of the quiet shining stars of Simpler!

The coach is totally transparent and shares actual, real money trades. Not paper trades, but real money. Not "blah, blah, talk, talk, talk" but instead he gives actionable guidance so you can read the chart patterns and make your own trade decisions. First time I've been consistently profitable in a long, long time. I feel I can use this approach for as long as I want to continue trading. Thanks Mike!

Small Lot Program Review - My Experience (Jan 2025)
Program Details and Promises
I joined John Carter's Small Lot program at the end of January 2025. The program was marketed with specific goals, including Carter's stated objective that "in my small account, the goal is consistent growth." Additionally, the program promoted that "John's goal is to double his account by February 1, 2026." The marketing materials featured claims that John's daughter "grew the account with this laid back type of trading by 108.29% in 3.5 months" and suggested that participants could scale this approach, stating "I did some of these trades in my bigger account, so you know, it could be a 110,000 to 220,000 dollar account."
Worth mentioning that The Small Lot program is one of the more expensive offerings from Simpler Trading, priced at $3,000 USD per year.
Performance Results
As of June 9, 2025, the official trade tracker shows a loss of 25%. However, when factoring in the 4 currently open positions, the actual loss stands at 38%.
Personal Investment and Outcome
I committed $100,000 (a very substantial sum of money for myself, out of our savings) to this program with the intention of fully engaging with the strategy. I dedicated significant time and energy to following the trades exactly as directed. After approximately 5 months of participation, I have experienced a loss of $38,000.
Program Execution and Support
I understand that options trading carries inherent risks, and I acknowledge that every trade executed was ultimately my own decision. The program was presented with the concept that participants could "earn while you learn" by following John's trades. Unfortunately, this outcome did not materialize in my experience. During the first couple of months after joining, John was largely unavailable for questions and proper trade management guidance. This availability improved after he completed the acquisition of Simpler Trading and is a lot better nowadays.
Personal Impact and Decision
The financial losses from this program have created strain in my personal relationships, particularly with my spouse, due to the very significant amount lost and the drawdown to our savings account. The program marketing included the statement: "Everyone says to trade money that you can afford to lose but the truth is trading a small account sometimes means trading all you've got and it would hurt to lose it." This proved to be exactly what happened to me, as I engaged a significant portion of my capital and followed John's trades precisely. Rather than achieving the promised "consistent growth," I experienced substantial losses, which is why this situation came between me and my wife. As a result, I have decided to discontinue my participation in the program and cease options trading activities.
Factual Disclosure
This review is based on my personal experience and documented (both mine and John’s) performance results. I am not providing financial advice nor attempting to disparage anyone personally. However, I believe that individuals considering this program should be aware of these factual outcomes that I experienced during my participation.
*Program:* Small Lot Trading Program
*Duration:* January 2025 - June 2025
*Investment:* $100,000
*Documented Loss:* $38,000 (38% of capital)
*Official Tracker Loss:* 25% (not including open positions)
06/24/25 UPDATE following Simpler's Response below
I find it intriguing that Simpler actually wrote a good response and that a couple of hours later it was taken off and this one below has become the official response, so to help future potential participants fully understand the picture, allow me to add a few points:
1. When you say I was "following multiple traders and trades" - I followed the Small Lot Room trades to the tee until the day I left the program but also joined another Simpler Trading program on a trial basis some 3 weeks prior to leaving completely. The trial program was with Raghee's Mastery course and this was at the Simpler Trading's Content Manager's advice.
2. I could also add that Raghee's program was in the black and actually helped make up for some of the Small Lot losses however at your advice, I left that program to try and solely focus on the Small Lot.
3. My 38% loss indeed reflects a moment in time - the moment I decided enough is enough. I'm happy you say the loss is now "only" 12%, however I still fail to see where the "consistent growth is", where the "Earn while you learn" comes in and why anyone would need to take such a substantial drawdown, before even making a dime in the program. And that's without taking into consideration that the program itself is the most expensive one Simpler has to offer.
The people at Simpler are great, the program needs tuning.

I did a 1 month trial of the Moxie room. TG Watkins' "Moxie Indicator" is a complete ripoff. It just plots the MacD Histogram of a higher timeframe and plots it as a line graph instead of a histogram. THEY ARE CHARGING YOU FOR SOMETHING THAT IS ALREADY AVAILABLE FOR FREE. The only thing that the Moxie indicator does is that it charts the MacD Histogram (as a line graph) of a higher timeframe on the same graph. The fact that it is a line graph for a higher time frame is what gives it that stairstep look. For example, the Daily chart plots the MacD Histogram for the Weekly timeframe, 1 hr chart plots MacD Histogram for the Daily timeframe, etc. You can find FREE code online that will do this for you. If you have access to the Moxie indicator, you can experiment for yourself and see what I am talking about. For example, view the MacD Histogram of the DAILY chart as a line graph, then compare it to the Moxie Indicator for the HOURLY chart. Make note of the peaks at troughs OF THE SAME DATES. You will see they are exactly the same. Same with the WEEKLY MacD Histogram compared with the DAILY Moxie indicator or the HOURLY MacD Histogram compared with the 15 MINUTE Moxie (High) indicator. (If you are not familiar with the MacD indicator, there are many YT videos that will explain it.) BTW, TG Watkins uses the default MacD settings of 12,26,9. No successful trader that I know of uses the default values. Also, during my trial, he did a lot of SPX 0 DTE and he lost a lot of money. He relied heavily on GexBot - which, imo, is not all that reliable because it changes a lot intra-day. He admitted that he was just new to 0 DTE (and options, in general) and was experimenting. That's fine, but to give out trades to people when you are just experimenting is irresponsible. He was basically gambling, not trading, when it came to SPX 0 DTE and options. He never put the odds in his favor. Also, he did not mention anything about the Greeks. I doubt he understands the Greeks. He never mentions why he chooses the deltas he chooses. Trading options without understanding the Greeks is a losing proposition. John Carter always said that since trading is a zero sum game, it is about taking money out of someone's account and putting it into yours. Well, TG Watkins has definitely learned that from John Carter. He has mastered the art of taking money out of your account and putting it into his account.
Update 06/19/2025
In an effort to discredit this review, Simpler Trading is now asking me to provide my PERSONAL information.
Sorry. I don't give out that info freely - especially to sites like Simpler Trading. But they are right. You don't know who I am. I wouldn't trust some random netizen either. So, go ahead and do the 1 month trial and see for yourself. Prove me wrong. BUT I MUST WARN YOU. They are excellent salespeople at Simpler Trading. Please do your homework before engaging with them. If there is one thing they do very well at Simpler Trading, it is trying to sell you a new indicator that they "invented" every couple of months. Their sales pitches are disguised as webinars and are very polished and designed to make you believe that their latest indicator is the magic bullet that will propel you to becoming a successful trader. But, are their indicators backed with money back guarantees? Of course not. They already have your money. Why would they give it back? So, before doing the trial, if you are not already familiar with momentum indicators, Please familiarize yourself with some of the free indicators that are already included in most trading platforms, for example: MacD, RSI, Fast/Slow Stochastic, ADX, etc. There are a ton of free indicators. Familiarize yourself with any combination of these indicators (I suggest using more than one). I won't direct you to a specific sites to learn about these because Simpler Trading will accuse me of purposely trying to steer customers to a specific business, but google it or do a search on YT and you will find many free tutorials on any of these indicators and on how to use moving averages. I also recommend working with them and doing paper trades until you are comfortable with them and how they work. Then do the 1 month trial. You can decide for yourself whether you want to spend a couple of thousand dollars on the Moxie indicator (aka MacD Histogram plotted as a line graph), or use the indicators that are already included with the trading platforms that do the same thing. But again I must warn you. Please do your homework before engaging with them or they may likely extract money from your account and put it into theirs.
