Avoid dating sites in general

Avoid dating sites in general, they have far more lonely men than lonely women and hence the women have the upper hand. I am a reasonable looking, well educated guy but 6 months premium membership (ie £180 worth) has yielded absolutely nothing. I've had a few dates but only one has met her description (eg the term "a few extra pounds" means huge) and carefully writing thoughtful messages means 95% will be totally elicit no response at all. Some will chat for a while and then ghost you. I always thought that British women were at least polite and thoughtful but my experience is that once on these sites they become rude and arrogant. All I have got from this is a collapse of my self confidence and esteem.

Get out and meet people in real life and avoid this rubbish.

It is just a repeat of other dating…

It is just a repeat of other dating sites, no one answers your messages, men do not complete profiles, I have been using this site as a paid member for 4 months now and not a single date, message or reply to my messages.
Maybe it is British men but I am getting very dispondent, dating sites seem to be a waste of time and money in the UK.

In saw an ad

I saw an ad. from them and took a look, first the amount of crap you need fill in l gave up half way, l have 2 perfect photos and uploaded them, the next day they told me ''This picture is unsuitable as a main profile photo. Image quality - too fuzzy / filtered / face in shadow / poor lighting.' so basically they never looked at them. The price is incredible at 240 quid, 5 people looked at me, no idea who they are, 1 bird send a message but i cannot reply, i got a message from them ebegging soon after l clicked to join. I think that the other people posting here are correct, thankfully i never give my CC to anone especially fakish websites, no wonder this here is unclaimed by them.

Bit of a waste of time!

A few things, it is advertised for seniors over 55 and the site is full of much younger people. Also if you are anywhere North of Watford gap don't bother signing up as I would say at least 85% are in the south. Also after sorting through hundreds one come up with all the right criteria and having sent a message you get a one liner back to say I can't respond I haven't a subscription . All in all very disappointing

Don’t waste your time

Don’t waste your time. It’s a load of rubbish! I only signed up for a few months to try it out, Even though I made some connections they didn’t work out because of locations and they share your information with other dating sites, breaching both data protection and GDPR!!! 😡😡

Be extremely careful - your data/information is not secure...

Joined site Verified my gmail and spent literally hours completing all sections except for friends reviews of myself.

Spent a couple of hours browsing before signing out.
Returned 6 or 8 hours later to find my profile is not listed and no Record on site. Emailed admin and informed they decided my profile was suspicious - fake.

To open it I now needed to provide
1) My photo holding a handwritten sign with their specific wording. mm Ok
2) Some form of ID showing my photo - this is all sufficient to open accounts with some financial institutions online...

Subsequently find that all profiles there are public and openly shared across several sites.

TAKE CARE!!! they are data mining!!

Dont get fooled by special offers on Dating Sites

I left this site only to find months later they had deducted 18£ on the excuse it was clearly written in the blurb. No reminder - no warning. Luckilly I have a good bank and wont get caught again. The bank statement has Dating Lab written on it instead of Silversurfers so you have to follow a paper trail to work it out. Dating Lab dont have a tel. no. and you get standard replies from someone called Lisa saying everything is clear and standard. Alot of these dating sites are owned by Peoples Media and make it very difficult to leave easily. Rubbish CS.
