Silk laser clinics, woden- extremely disappointing experience
If there was an option for negative stars, I would have given one.
This was my first experience with Silk Laser Clinic, Woden, and it was extremely disappointing. During my initial visit for laser hair removal, there was no consultation, nor did anyone ask me any questions about my skin or medical history.
After my third session, they suddenly asked me to fill out a form that clearly included a question about keloids — to which I ticked “yes.” Despite this, they continued with the treatment as usual.
During my fifth session, after completing half of my face, the therapist went to the manager and came back saying they couldn’t continue because I have keloids — something they had already known and discussed in previous sessions. She left me halfway through the treatment and asked me to leave, even when I politely requested that she finish the rest of the face.
There are many other skin clinics that are far more professional and customer-focused. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
Just Appalling Customer Service
Just wanted to share my experience with Silk Laser Mandurah. I’m a regular customer of treatment at this store I had an appointment and called to cancel and reschedule due to work commitments.
The way in the staff member spoke to me was distasteful and out right rude.
She simply said as you have not given us notice u will be charged a fee.
My response was is this how your good customers are treated given the fact I have called to cancel and reschedule.
The staff member simply hung up on me.
How right rude customer service.
Called back asked if she just hung up on me and she said yes apparently I was abusive to her and was yelling. She then went to say my work commitments are not her problem.
Her manager Bailey got on the phone and that was a waste of time as she never wanted to resolve anything just say I was abusive and her staff member was right.
I will never use this business again and won’t refer people.
Cannot believe as a good customer of this business this is the way I’m treated.

Spent over $1956 on Botox and filler
Spent over $1956 on Botox and filler. The Botox was $1000 and the Botox did not work at all, would not fix! I’ve never paid this much before and worst result ever! Do not go here so much better and cheaper elsewhere. I even tried to get more money off me to put more in even though they botched it the first time.. my doctor told me not to go there.
For this money I got 3ml filler and 54 unit Botox. Toowoomba grand central location

FAILED DENTAL PROCEDURE
I want to share my experience at Silk Clinic in hopes it helps others and encourages improvements. I originally had a 4-unit fixed bridge, but without my knowledge or consent, it was changed to a 6-unit bridge. This caused an uncomfortable bite, and the bridge loosened within just one month.
I paid almost 7,000 AED for the procedure and later had to consult another dentist, who confirmed the 6-unit bridge was unnecessary. I requested certification for the EMAX Ivoclar veneers they claim to have used on my lower teeth, but despite repeatedly messaging the clinic, I received no response. Instead, they offered to redo the procedure, which is hard to trust after the initial mistakes.
My suggestions for improvement: be fully transparent with patients about procedures, provide proper documentation for materials used, respond promptly to patient concerns, and ensure quality and accountability in treatments. While I hope these changes are made, I personally would not recommend this clinic for dental procedures.

Disappointing Staff Encounter
I rated 3 stars instead of 0 to 1 as I have always been happy with the services and a loyal customer for years now, even got my daughter to get treatments with Silk laser until this afternoon at Ellenbrook location. I arrived and there were two staff manning the reception, I said what I came in for (checking if I can be seen that day as I was in the area and it will be just a follow up, so real quick instead of coming back the following day. Staff said no, fair enough, it was a very short notice, just trying my luck. But what disappointed me the most is how the staff engaged with me, felt very unwelcome, won't even look at me when we were talking, very much dismissive I can say, made me feel like I am even lucky they were talking to me. I am writing to share my horrifying and traumatic experience at Silk Laser Clinics. I had purchased a 10-session laser hair removal package, paid in full, and have completed six sessions so far. However, my recent visit on December 12, 2024, left me not only deeply upset but traumatised to the point that I am now afraid to even visit the mall where the clinic is located.
On the day of my appointment, I was delayed by a maximum of five minutes due to parking difficulties. When I arrived, Tyla, the staff at reception, rudely informed me that my appointment had been cancelled. Despite my efforts to explain the situation, she refused to listen and kept shutting me down in a dismissive and unprofessional manner.
I calmly pointed out that I have always been punctual for previous appointments and often had to wait 15-20 minutes each time to be seen. I asked why such a minor delay justified cancelling my appointment, but Tyla refused to accommodate or even acknowledge my concerns. She rudely offered me the last appointment of the day at 8 PM, which was completely impractical for me as I have a one-year-old child who goes to bed by that time. Feeling dismissed and insulted, I left the clinic in tears.
Upset, I shared the incident with my husband, who accompanied me back to the clinic to seek clarification. Instead of resolving the matter, Tyla called security on us when my husband raised his voice out of frustration. To add insult to injury, she laughed at us while we were humiliated in front of others. Her behaviour was shocking, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional.
As a result, I cancelled my appointment because I no longer felt safe or confident in the service I would receive. The trauma caused by this experience has been so severe that I now avoid going to the same mall altogether.
Three days later, someone from management contacted me to discuss the incident. However, they mirrored Tyla’s dismissive behaviour, refused to listen to my concerns, and ended the call abruptly without offering any resolution.
Adding to my frustration, I have seen no results from the six laser hair removal sessions I’ve completed. There has been no noticeable reduction in hair, making this entire ordeal even more upsetting and a waste of time and money.
After further research, I discovered many similar complaints about Tyla’s behaviour, yet no action has been taken. This demonstrates a shocking lack of accountability and care for customers.
I am now seeking legal advice and will be raising this matter with the ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) for the unacceptable treatment, lack of service delivery, and emotional trauma caused by Silk Laser Clinics.
I strongly urge others to avoid Silk Laser Clinics. Their customer service is absolutely appalling, their management is dismissive, and their treatment results are non-existent.
This has been one of the most humiliating and distressing experiences of my life, and I feel compelled to warn others about Silk Laser Clinics.
I do not recommend Silk laser Rundle…
I do not recommend Silk laser Rundle Mall to anyone who expects respectful and professional customer service in exchange for the money they’ve paid.
During my first laser session, a 15-minute visit to the Rundle Mall clinic, the staff was friendly and sweet. However, I felt pressured to purchase their products three separate times, which made me very uncomfortable. Other reviews mention similar experiences, so this seems to be a common issue. I’ve never encountered such pressure at other clinics.
My second session was even more unsettling. The technician who performed the laser session was completely unprofessional and rushed through the entire process. She asked me questions about my previous session, but before I could finish answering, she interrupted me multiple times. She asked me to lie down at least five times, as if she were in a hurry to leave and I was wasting her time. The entire session took maybe less than five minutes!
Her attitude was also very arrogant. I had my work bag with me, and since the floor looked dirty, I was looking for a place to put it. Instead of allowing me to use an empty seat, she told me to place it anywhere on the floor. Even though she tried to say some nice words, her behavior overall was very off-putting. Unfortunately, I didn’t ask for her name, but she had dark hair, fair skin, and long eyelashes.
I still have two prepaid sessions remaining, but the thought of returning to this clinic is now giving me a panic attack.
I am removing the 2-star rating I previously gave and reducing it to one.

Had the best experience with nurse Mandy at the Sandy Bay clinic. I had filler in my lips which I have had some many times before and this time I have never been more comfortable and relaxed as I was with nurse Mandy, nurse Mandy was so gentle, friendly, professional and took time to explain everything and did her best to make me comfortable. I am so happy with the results of the filler, my lips look great!
Great experience, will definitely be returning.
Price transparency
I’ve been to Silk many times for lip filler. But over the past few years their policy has changed and they no longer advertised prices for a lot of their procedures. As someone who likes treating themself but needs to budget, ya know with cost of living, children, mortgages etc it’s hard to do so when you need to go in for a consult every time you need a price to budget in. I’ve started going to cosmetic injectables because they are transparent with their prices.

I hate having to write bad reviews but I left the Salon confused. I was there for lip filler which I've had several times but told the nurse would not do it as I had migration ( no other cosmetic nurse or Dr has ever said that) and I could never have filler ever again, it would not dissolve without the dissolver but that they would have to get permission from head office to do so and how hard it would be and it would leave a bad result unable to be filled again. I found it over dramatic and have my doubts that's true noting that I've only ever used Restalyn or Jeverdem. I don't believe it migrated either although I do know one side has more than other. Like I said, I've always gone to a SILK Laser Clinic but won't go back now.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and distress regarding the treatment I received at Silk on Rundle Mall during my appointment on 26/07/2023 at 17:25. The experience I encountered was distressing and disheartening.
As a loyal customer for over a year, I have had successful laser treatments at your company. However, during this visit, I faced an unacceptable incident. The employee complained about her job and how tired she is working. After that kind of comment, she refused to perform my laser treatment, stating I had a fake tan. But If I want, I could come back the next day. I want to clarify that I do not use any products on my body, including fake tan and my skin color is natural. I am originally from Portugal, and my natural dark skin has never been an issue during previous treatments.
Many times I explained to her that is my natural color, but I was treated as a liar and experienced discrimination. Every customer deserves respect, regardless of their ethnicity or skin color.

Do not buy prebooked services
Do not buy prebooked services. if you are no longer able to go/ use, they refuse a refund unless providing a medical certificate, for them to then be the judge of whether you are capable or not. This is a great invasion of privacy and something i am not comfortable doing. incredibly frustrating money-grubbing behaviour where you are just expected to give your money away
