The process was seamless the only improvement I would suggest is finding a better mail carrier USPS was very slow and getting finger prints delivered other than that they were spot on perfect!!!!

Edited: If you need it right upon approval, go with local. Silencer central is great, just adds about a week to 10 days to receive your item after ATF approval.
They do care about their customers. And great for first time going through the process, just lengthens the time to hand for your items. The sacrifice for simplicity.
Update: exactly 14 days after approval, I received my item.

This is the second purchase I have made from Silencer Central. The sale went smoothly. However, there are two points that buyers must know. First, SC automatically pads the sale by charging $9.95 plus tax for a fingerprint card kit, although they already have your original fingerprints on file and use them to submit the ATF application. Second, it has now been 7 days since I received ATF approval of my application and SC has yet to ship my suppressor from their warehouse to their designated state shipping center. So, after waiting for over 3 weeks for ATF to approve your application, do NOT expect a quick turnaround by SC to get your suppressor to you even if it has been completely paid. By the way, when I inquired about the shipping, Customer Service responded "... today or tomorrow ...". That was 3 days ago and still no shipment.
03/18/2026 - Update - Silencer Central contacted me regards my review. They have reimbursed me for the fingerprint card charges and explained that their online system does not recognize former customers when placing an order. Thus, the automatic charge for the cards. We discussed the online software issues, but nothing will be done to resolve the ongoing issue. They did state that calling SC and ordering over the phone probably would not have resulted in the additional charge. They also apologized over not meeting their standard 24-48 business hours to ship suppressors once ATF approves the application. But the volume of sales since the end of the $200 ATF fee has resulted in a massive increase in sales volume. I stand by my earlier information so that repeat customers know of the pitfalls but thank SC for taking the time to follow-up on my comments.

First time customer of SC but not my first NFA item buying experience. Ordering, filling out the necessary forms was very easy to get the process started. I did have a delay in the shipping back and forth between SC for the fingerprint kit but this is due to severe weather delays and not SC so no worries there. ATF approval in less than 24hrs and product in hand in 5 weeks start to finish. Having waited 9+ months in the past I always go into these with a measure of patience but came away thrilled with the speed of the entire process and the professionalism and efficiency of SC. There is one step where you're requested to call in briefly and the staff was very friendly and professional. While the NFA covers suppressors this is the best way to do it and I feel confident working with SC again in the future. Thanks so much!

I bought a Banish 9k for my Springfield Kuna. There was almost no difference in decibels. I fired the first round and immediately had to put ear protection on. I notified the company and was told "the 9k is only meant to take the edge off." I responded that it was an almost insignificant edge and there's nothing on their website that warns customers that the 9k is only meant to "take the edge off." You can't return suppressors so this was $750 bucks, gone, and nothing to show for it.

Everything they offered in the site has up to now been very satisfactory. My only complaint would be the insisting emails trying to remind me of doing my part. When I forked out that money, I knew that I had to follow all steps carefully and on time. Now I’m waiting to get notified that my silencer is on its way.
