DO NOT USE A CREDIT CARD ON SHOPEE

DO NOT USE YOUR CREDIT CARD for anything on shopee.... you will get scammed when the seller does not ship what you ordered and you send it back. We did not accept the order because it was missing part of the order. We even asked the seller, before we bought, what was included and then they (samsung) did not ship everything... so they stole 50k from us... when you try to get help from the CC company (VISA & BPI) nobody will help you. You will just lose your money. Apparently, this is just normal business in the Philippines. There is no consumer protection with your VISA CC, or BPI, or Shopee, or Samsung....

platinum shopee shopper here I spend around $1000 USD on shopee regularly idk if its the country or the culture but being a Tokyo native where people are very honest I left my wallet in an izakaya it was returned to me bought a $10k USD Gibson guitar from Tokyo treasure factory no hassle here in PH I have to argue over a $20 light bulb some guy sent me a 12V DC lightbulb lol sad but true

Shopee customer service is non-existant

Shopee customer service is nearly non-existant and staffed with cheap labour, agents have a poor understanding of English and do not bother to read what your initial complaint was and just seemingly 'copy/paste' answers no doubt from an 'answer sheet'.

When you ask for the 'problem' to be escalated they just pass it onto another same level flunkie and you keep going around in circles with 96% of the time no resolution.

Shopee also has a habit of protecting its sellers, even when presented with undenial proof that the seller is scamming customers or selling fake products. You get a reply saying they (Shopee) will investigate, but when you go back to the site/seller they are still there even after having received numerous complaints against the seller/shop.

For those of us that use Shopee online (ie; PC) we CAN NOT make use of the myriad of vouchers available and if do want to use them you are forced to use the useless/slow phone app. Same goes with trying to contact customer support, it CAN NOT be contacted via email, this no doubt is so that Shopee can deny every having received a complaint as when you have the copy on email, it's the good ol' "it's in black and white" scenario and you have what's called in legal circles, an auditable trail of what has occurred. Without this 'hardcopy' communication it's a case of "he said/she said" which is nearly impossible to prove.

FYI before going off on a rant on what I reported, I have been a 'customer' (long suffering) for over 6 years now (no other real option seeing I live in the mountains of Apayao, Philippines) and having spent well over PHP 1Mil I have been scammed for over PHP 85K to date. Luckily being a 'foreigner' this is not a great financial burden for our family, however, for the average Filipino family this is a staggering 8.5% of their income that they lose to the unscrupulous Chinese sellers that are favoured by Shopee (no wonder, seeing it's Singapore based, ergo, Chinese controlled.).

TL;DR If I had choice of using another online reseller I'd change over like a shot.

I’ve been using Shopee for over 2 years…

I’ve been using Shopee for over 2 years now, and it’s always been a reliable platform for online shopping. I love how easy it is to browse products, use vouchers, and track deliveries. The return and refund process is also smooth. Highly recommend it for everyday needs!

Order 250523KQ8X7ESR remains undelivered up to now. Despite multiple follow-ups, there’s still no resolution. The order has been in our city for over 10 days, yet no delivery has been made. Unfortunately, the current Shopee policy just advises to keep waiting, even without an expected delivery date.

Very slow delivery with hidden charges

I've been a regular buyer with Shopee for a number of years. In fact, I'm Gold Level, two purchases away from Platinum. I will only pay Cash on Delivery. Recently their deliveries have taken weeks to arrive, they do issue a 50php voucher if it's over the estimated delivery time but I've found them impossible to use. The biggest recent con is that the prices advertised are incorrect. For instance, I ordered a sink, advertised price 4500pphp. When you go to check out it's more like 6000php with no explanation. Hidden charges abound. They used to be satisfactory but not any more. Word of caution, check the total price before you confirm your order. If in doubt do not proceed. To summarize, they are unbelievably slow and they apply sneaky charges. Buyer beware. Word of advice, if you are going to order from this website, which I don't think you should, only use Cash on Delivery. Once they have your money you are at the mercy of an extremely unscrupulous bunch of rogues.

Buyers beware of buying @ Shopee. If you don't want to lose your patience and waste your time and effort, I caution you to practice due diligence. Or better yet look somewhere else instead when buying.
Been a long time buyer of Shopee for quite awhile. And with so many goods I bought didn't encounter a headache 😩 But this time, when I bought a kitchen storage cabinet the plastic packaging that contains the screws and other parts have a big hole. These spilled all over the box. So that some parts are missing and dent was noticeable 😩 To cut the long story short, have to return it to get my money back. But takes a long while before Shopee would return. They will have to use the money first before they will return it 😩 Thanks a lot. oraciojesusMariah jose 👰

Mostly I'm satisfied with shopee, but...

Mostly I'm satisfied with Shopee, even the refund usually worked, except one time. The second hand hard drives I've ordered have been totally trash. I requested a refund, the parcel should have been picked up, but they never got picked up, although I requested another pick up appointment, but finally the refund request got canceled, although the parcel was ready and waiting for pick up and from 12 lunch time until past midnight there is always someone at the pick up address. I wanted to share another recent experience about the delivery hubs and their riders, because what they are doing is harassment!
I got a notification 6:44 am by SMS that my parcel is being delivered, just 4 minutes later I replied to inform the rider about my presence at the delivery address from 2:30 pm on. 2 hours before, at 12:26, he took a photo of the building from far away as proof of an unsuccessful delivery attempt. My mate was already there since before 12, he told me the rider didn't even come close enough for a delivery attempt. I also didn't get another SMS about the delivery attempt. So I went to the hub after the tracking system displayed the parcel to be there again, but they didn't want to hand over the parcel, saying that it would have to be swept with the rider! I told them not to do another delivery attempt, because I don't want another day of stress caused by an uncertain rider and that I'll come again to pick it up by myself. On the next day again a rider drove around with my parcel, although I told them not to deliver, but without any announcement of a delivery attempt, I only noticed that on the tracking system. Instead that I could just pick up the parcel, I had to wait until the rider brought it back to the hub! And when I went there, again they didn't want to hand it over! But I told them the whole situation again and that I'm already there the second time and the rider doesn't even attempt to deliver, so they hand it over.
What I learned from this experience is: Never inform the rider previously about your arrival at the delivery address, because they will appear extra before your arrival to fake an delivery attempt, because they get paid for each attempt and Shopee of course doesn't know the communication between customer and rider, so they don't know what the rider really is doing. And the hubs even cover these harassment of the customer by the riders, because when you go there, they don't want to hand over the parcel and even send the same rider again who again won't attempt to deliver.

GLENA an highest point of Escalation.

I talked with their agents and even speaking on a supervisor and an account manager earlier today. About my refund concern. However, their refund process was only respecting their sellers time frame not the customer time frame.

The previous representative that I speak with stated that the refund process will only take 1-2 business days and that was communicated via live chat. Yet when I reach out today they provided me a different time frame and guess what it longer than what they originally provided to me. The previous representative I speak WITH stated about being "TRANSPARENT" SO WHERE IS THE TRANSPARENT ON THEIR STATEMENT. IF THEY DO HAVE A DIFFERENT PROCESS?

I speak with Kryn(can't remember the spelling of his/her name). Bragged about they following "ONE PROCESS". How come that "ONE PROCESS" that they were following has a different time frame?

The chats was escalated from a supervisor into an account manager and her name was GLENA who claims that she was the highest point of escalation. This type of account manager who bragged that she was the highest point of escalation can't even pay an attention on what I'm saying and she abruptly ended the live chat.

GLENA bragged about that "Only supervisor and manager can cater an escalation chat for managers and supervisor." HOW COME SHE BECAME AN A HIGHEST POINT OF ESCALATION ON SHOPEE PHILIPPINES?BUT A SIMPLE THING OF PAYING AN ATTENTION TO MAY CONCERN SHE CAN'T EVEN DO?". Don't bragged your position if you can't do the simple thing. I suggested SHOPEE PHILIPPINES should retrained you and your other agents and supervisor to follow one process. To avoid miscommunication to your other buyers like me.

Due to the false information provided to me via chat as a buyer I do have the rights to file a dispute. Since the item was not in my possession and their process was so sketchy and claims that their company policy would not gonna allow them to provide their employee ID. So for the other buyers like me out there think thrice before buying on this application called SHOPEE.

If I could give a zero stars or…

If I could give a zero stars or negative stars for Flash Express, I would. This so called delivery service should be decommissioned. They lie, They Promise delivery but nothing. In my Area (Sergio Osmena, Zambonga Del Norte) I was told by my Nephew we all have to pick up because Flash Express does not deliver. This van parks near the Catholic Church. People have to come and pick up. Many of the people come from far away. Think of the extra cost involved. Really a SHAMEFUL DELIVERY SERVICE! I ask why your delivery service. Does not Deliver. The answer was No motorcycle and not paid enough to deliver. Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me! I stopped ordering from Lazada and Shopee after a 9 yr. 6 months of Business relationship. I now order from Temu. Temu uses J&T Express. J&T Express has always delivered. Plus they have a delivery and receiving office in Sergio Osmena. I really loved Lazada & Shopee. But I refuse to be taken for a fool. I pay for delivery. I expect delivery! Until Flash Express is out of business in Sergio Osmena. Or Lazada & Shopee Go back to J&T Express or Ninja Van. I will Boycott their online shopping. Because it is no longer pleasant.

CS not solving concerns

your hotline for following up spaylater seems like you want to prolong the delayed on payment as you are not addressing the concern I am raising. He asked me why I didn't pay, I told him my concern, say that I reach put to other hotline then said that he'll just follow up again regarding this and then ended the call while I am talking. You should remove your customer service AI as it's full of shit!!

I gotta be honest shopee is one of tje worst websites for a first time user. Yes everything is cheap, yes everything is on order but the website is inconsistent. Shopee needs to work on its user experience because frankly the order i put in will be my first and last.

Beware of Shopee

Bought item online from Shopee. Wrong item delivered. Filed for return last April 25, 2025 and was approved because the evidence is clear. Until this date (May 5, 2025), no one came to pick up. Contacted Shopee Live Agents multiple times (April 26, April 28, May 3 4pm, May 3 7pm, May 4, May 5) all in the effort to help facilitate picking up of return item. No one ever came. Out of frustration last May 4, I requested for the contact number of rider assigned for pick up. The rider came back to me saying she is on a day-off. Shopee live agents did nothing aside from giving empty promises (“will escalate”, “will update”, “will be resolved within 24-72hours”, “will be resolved within 24-48hours”). All they did is to ask me to wait for the rider to pick up, which never happened despite all my efforts to coordinate. Come May 5, Shopee all of sudden cancelled my request for return and refund without explaining why. When I followed up again, they asked that I pick another date for pick up (for the Nth time). I had to reprint the airway bill twice or thrice because the return tracking number changes every time they ask that I re-pick a date. They wasted my paper and tape and 10 consecutive days waiting for them and is still doing the delaying tactic until they cancel the request again. The issue remained unsolved even when I had to talk to their Supervisor Mr. Ray.

When I received wrong or broken items from Lazada before, the refund was done immediately without question, when the evidence is clear. It is true when others said Shopee protects scammers than buyers. The seller of this product, who sent a wrong item, wouldn’t initially admit that he did it wrong, and later on told me to just divide the tab into half. I have experience working with the Vet. This tablet cannot and should not be halved just to be given in two separate doses.

Very frustrating. Delete your Shopee App. Not worth the stress.

They will ban you and lock your money without any exaplanation

I've been a long time user and a platinum member. One day they suddenly banned my ShopeePay account with P5000+ on it. It took a week an a half and a complaint to BSP to get my money withdrawn to my bank account. Customer service answers once every few days. No explanation has ever been given to me on why my account has been banned. Also, whenever you get a refund on Shopee, they automatically refund the money to ShopeePay without any other options, so you can easily get your money locked. Avoid Shopee at all costs.

NO MORE SHOPPEE FOR ME

I've been a shoppee customer/buyer for years. Recently with my order I rated 1 star to the product as it was not up to my expectation. I gave an honest review about the product. I didn't return it nor ask for a refund to avoid hassle. But the seller got so mad at my review or rating and even accused me of being demanding, abusive and so on. First time it happened to me. Shoppee even deleted my review/rating and stated why they deleted it is because they are pro-seller even if the seller is at fault. Like seriously?? I ordered 1 last time from this online shop then I will delete my account here. I was gonna cancel the order but the seller already shipped it. I will no longer support a shop who allows sellers to be so rude and personally attacks and accuses its buyers/customers.

there are numerous items that are easy to purchase in IK but imoossible to source in the PHilippines and if you can find they come with a whopping price tag eg x6-8 times higher.no supermarket wars here,so i was recommended to try Shopee the Asian equivalent of ebay except customers can pay COD,i gave it a go bought my wife a fishing net to see how it went,ALL think i have reached end of the line they have changed my log in ig w/o telling me now all my records have been delefed,cannot see many ex-pats putting up with the chaos
