Ordered December 4th - Waiting over 2 months
Ordered December 4th, It's now February 18th and my order is nowhere to be seen, company ignores all communication attempts from me, at this point I don't even know if I'm ever getting my product.
Great products that I wish I could purchase elsewhere
Time and again this company take on more, apparently, than their capacity to cope with. This usually results in delays to new releases, which they don't tell you about, or disastrous sales like in December 2025 in which they take payment up front and yet cannot dispatch orders in anything approaching a timely fashion - something of which, again, they fail to inform customers until well into the sale. A month plus to dispatch ostensibly in-stock items is not acceptable
It's a pity because when they get it right, it's good. Their collector's items are high quality and packed with care. Unfortunately, those collector's items are, in most cases, only available through their storefront - something that never used to be the case. This leaves customers with with two choices for many of the company's own products: take your chance with alltheanime.com or miss out.

How can a company this big send an email to customers telling them that ,tbe order they placed at the beginning of December won't be shipped until January.
Pathetic. Never have I delt with a company like this. Over 6 weeks to ship an order. Please enlighten me. What about people who need items as a Christmas present.

Made an order. Waited a month. Zero contact (money left my account immediately) enquired when I could expect my DVDs only to be told “they should not have been available to buy, we have to cancel your order” which they did. I enquired when I should expect my refund to be to they “will process it in the next 5-10 working days”
Not acceptable. Mistakes can happen, no issues there. It’s the lack of interest in repairing them that’s the issue
Hidden VAT Charges for EU Customers – Poor Transparency
As a customer in the EU, I placed an order assuming the total—including the £15 shipping—was close to the final cost. Instead, I was hit with unexpected VAT and customs processing fees upon delivery.
The fact that UK VAT is removed and extra fees may apply is buried in a FAQ at the bottom of the site—this should be clearly shown at checkout.
Shipping used to be £10 with FedEx; now it's £15 for Royal Mail, with no improvement in service or clarity.
I raised this same issue in 2020 when the UK initially left the EU and was told:
"(...) we have no control over, or full visibility of, additional tax and shipping charges leveraged in your specific country, so there's nothing that we are able to do about this".
That may be true, but you do control how you inform your customers—and you’ve failed to improve that.
Disappointed. Leaving this review to warn other EU customers.
They do not inform about customs
I made a purchase and got charged 25 euros in customs. I was not informed at any point whatsoever that I was supposed to pay such an amount on top of the international shipping costs. I will not buy again from them.
That long wait. It's normal. However....
Ok. So, I made a big purchase with All the Anime, around 20 titles during their Big Christmas Sale. Did it seem too good to be true, a little yes. Did it get delivered quickly. No. Do they do much to inform customers they won't be around to answer emails and queries at Christmas time. No. I made my order on the last day of their sale.
I eagerly awaited my order, messaged a few times and got no response till I guess they came back to work. Once I had that initial check in I felt better. I had only sent them 2 dmails and once I found out they take a Christmas break, I relaxed a lot.
It was mid January when I finally received a chunk of my order. 1 title took till mid February to get.
The lack of information is what annoyed the hell out of me and I was fairly angry that they had potentially scammed me. This was my first go to thought and because of how long it took to receive, I was getting more and more irate by the situation.
Customer service is their Achille's heel.
Now. When I received my glorious giant box of anime, I was like hell yeah!! Almost all is forgiven! For the price and the quality, it's worth the long wait.
I unashamedly will be eagerly awaiting their next 12 days of Christmas sale. God help my wallet this time haha. And this time, I will understand and wait patiently haha.
I do recommend them, but that comes with the warning you may be waiting a while.

Item Not Delivered After A Month and No Response to Emails
Purchased an item almost a month ago. The item still hasn’t been dispatched and I’ve received no updates on it. Have sent two emails now asking for an update, and have received no responses.
Will be requesting refund through my bank and purchasing elsewhere if I don’t get a response by the end of the week. Very unhappy and won’t purchase from them again, I’ve had previous issues with them when purchasing from them a few years ago but hoped these issues would have been sorted.
UPDATE:
After messaging on X I received a response advising the customer service team would investigate and get back to me. After a couple more days with no response, I emailed requesting to cancel the item. The order was cancelled instantly and now I’m awaiting a refund. Not sure why they couldn’t have responded so quickly when I asked where the item was. But I’ve now gone elsewhere

Honestly not sure what to think about the negative reviews here. Maybe people only bother to write a review if they have an issue of some kind? I'm a long term customer and so are a few of my friends who've been ording for years. No complaints at all. My orders always arrive promptly or on launch day if I've pre ordered. Always well packaged and great quality, lovingly designed products. I can't rate any lower than 5 as they've always been reliable and I love their products.
Ignoring emails and not shipping in stock items
Placed an order on the 5th December for all instock items.
Emailed them on the 12th and got no reply. Facebook messaged them and no reply. Have sent another email on 14th and 16th still no reply
They haven't even shipped the item so no chance it will be here for Christmas now even though I ordered it on the 5th December.
Complete lack of customer service, long delays and faulty products.
I placed an order with this company nearly two weeks ago and it still has not been fulfilled, this despite every item ordered showing as in stock and available. I have also sent two emails both over a week ago and I have not had a reply. They are currently running a large sale which would explain some sort of delay but nearly two weeks and still no dispatch is completely unreasonable, more so considering the order was over £100.
The complete lack of customer service is very worrying, even the worst companies I have dealt with have at least responded to correspondence, this company have just been completely silent. I don't understand how they think it is acceptable to not respond in over a week, how can a companies customer service department be so poor when they are taking such large amounts of money from their customers.
They are also known for putting out defective products and taking unreasonable amounts of time to rectify the problems that is if the bother to do that at all. There is currently an issue with an expensive box set they have sold where one of the discs is defective and they are just not responding to emails asking for an update on their plans to fix it.
When you add all these serious issues together it makes it virtually impossible to recommend buying from this company. Stay away unless you absolutely have to shop with them.
No issues at all
Was after a hard to get Blu Ray. They had it in stock, order process was simple, arrived in good time, in great condition with no issues at all. Paid a good price as well.

Terrible company
Avoid at all costs! This company is just as likely to take your money and run as they are to actually deliver you a product. 10 working days have passed and no news on my order. I get that they were running a Black Friday sale, I understand they’ll be busy. But it cannot physically take this long to put 10-15 dvd cases into a box and slap a label on it. Assuming you are working 8 hours a day and you pack 6-10 orders an hour we are still looking at 640 orders if only one person is packing boxes. You will get zero communication from the support team other than a “we are sorry it’s taking so long” response.
The prices are genuinely too good to be true. They must be printing the discs and cases and everything to order to make the despatch times take this long.
They should inform properly about taxes
I'm from Spain and bought a couple vinyls from the UK online store two months ago. I received them well but now I'm getting a letter from Fedex telling me that I own 25€ on taxes and that they will take legal actions against me if I don't pay.
At first I didn't relate it at all with my order but then Fedex confirmed it to me via chat with an agent.
It seems that there's a customs tax that I have to pay, although I was not informed when I did the payment. I just found it hidden in the FAQs, but I was not notified when I purchased the vinyl. They should advertise this as soon as you put your address and they see it's not from the UK.
They say they're sorry and have no control over it. Well then, they should write it in the payment section as every other UK site I buy from does.
I'll never again buy from them.
Not good
Slow in both service and communication, with no up front information about true stock and no apologies. 'Shipping now' seems to mean shipping late which isn't advised unless you prompt them after ordering.
Awful quality control
Bought a ~200pound special edition bluray box. Shipping was on time and the package was in good condition outside. But almost all of the discs had some scratches on them. I waited 8 months to get replacement discs, which were also scratched (a little better, but still not mint). After this I received one more patch of replacement discs and these were also scrathed. After this they have not responded my emails. Quality control in this firm is awful and I would not recommend buying anything expensive from them.

Impossible to have any update by ''contact page'' (on French & UK website) and phone number in France and Glasgow are false...
