Friendly and helpful company to deal with. Everything was delivered in the expected time frame and incredibly well packaged and labelled.

Purchased the Pockley Shelf, I'm 4'11 with arms like a T-rex, and put this together on my own with ease. The construction videos are really helpful. No missing components and everything fitted together like a dream. Great piece of engineering and furniture - I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

I was looking for large storing unit in one of our bedrooms. Unfortunately our staircase isn't very wide so the only realistic option was self assembly. Almost automatically you'll end up with IKEA but I wanted to get better quality and where possible support a British company. That's when I found Shelved.

Shelved exceeded my expectations: this is the best self-assembly I've ever bought: clear instructions, high quality wood and sturdy metal frames makes this my number one choice. What I also like is that you're not stuck to the designs of the company: the assembly module on the website takes some time to get used to, but after that you can basically build your own rack. Delivery was great and assembly was easy.

All of this comes at a price but what you'll get will last a lifetime.

If there is one thing to improve is perhaps that they may want to consider offering drawer units in future and maybe different painted options. Other than that it's all good and I can highly recommend it.

Not very impressed, for £1600 I was expecting something that felt a lot more premium - quality of materials is akin to something you would expect from Argos

When I first came across Shelved when looking for the right shelving for my showroom, I initially passed them by based on price. The more I looked at what was available, the more I realised there was cheap and nasty (and not necessarily that cheap either), and ridiculously overpriced. Neither had the sizes and the flexibility I was looking for. Although it was more than I had wanted to spend, and after spending way too much time enjoying the easy to use configurator, I took the plunge, and I’m very pleased I did.

The instructions initially look a little complicated, but once you know what everything is for, it’s actually very easy - the second one I built went up in no time, with no need to revert back to the instructions. Once made up (mine was four vertical 800 wide units with cubbies and a cupboard in the bottom section), they’re assuringly weighty and rock solid.

They were great to deal with, and a U.K. manufacturer/supplier (something else that was rare amongst alternatives). Looking to order some more very soon.

Shelved were great to deal with. Loved the design process and excellent customer service.
Only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is because there were just a couple of things to improve on. Firstly, the courier they used was really slow and I had to chase them. Secondly, the finishing touches on the cabinet I ordered are not perfect. The ends are exposed and on the white frame it’s noticeable, would have liked caps like they gave me to cover the screws. And some of the label stickers were tricky to get off (tearing and leaving residue) but you need them for the build, they are so helpful!!

They are very simple to build and the videos are great but, I would say not easy if you’re a novice with flat pack or have designed something particular difficult. After unboxing took a while to get my head around the build and did make a few mistakes along the way. But the finished product looks great and I’m really pleased.

I would recommend this company.

I’m really pleased with the end result - bespoke, practical and great design. I must say that it was quite difficult to put together - having to watch different videos for different elements. I put a number of bars on the wrong way round and had to dismantle ans restart. I love the end result but it would be much easier if, like my Tylko sideboard, you get bespoke step by step instructions for your specific design

Shelves are very high quality and pretty fool proof to build. The instructions can be pretty overwhelming at first, but break everything down step by step.

Customer service is also fantastic! There was a bug in the "Design your own" tool, which meant that there was 2 small parts missing. They were sent out the same business day and delivered the following day.

Highly recommended for someone looking for custom shelving to fit their needs

I can’t fault this company or the product!
Once I had ordered the shelves/desk I received regular emails stating the process of my order. I was emailed the instructions on how to put it together in preparation for its arrival. The shelves were delivered well before the lead time and by 10am (all the way from the north to the south of the country!).
It took me 2 1/2 to put together by myself (others could probably do it faster!). The attention to detail and the finish is to a very high standard.
It is top quality and is probably my favourite piece of furniture.
