I'm sorry that you had trouble understanding the chord notation. I think maybe you're having trouble with the chords like F/A. This is a chord inversion indication. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inversion_(music) and the letter on the bottom is the bass note. It's really not going to sound too different than if you just played the top chord without putting a particular note in the bass. Particularly not on an "Easy" piece which has been arranged to make it easier to play.
I don't know if you're playing on a piano or on a guitar. As I said above, on a piano you're putting the bass note on the bottom. E.g. on page 3 in the last system of Homeward Bound you'll see the chord F/A and music notation you'll see the left hand has an A at the bottom of the staff and the right hand has the other two notes of the triad F and C. This is (more less) a first inversion.
If you're on guitar there are a ton of videos and such that show you how to play all these chord inversions online.
smooth purchase of a great Bird solo
The downloading of the sheet music to pdf and onto my Windows Media player all went smoothly. As much as John Coltrane is my favorite musician, Parker's "Koko" is my favorite jazz solo. The piano arrangement for the head and solo was well crafted.
