My buddies and I booked with Sean for our Scotland golf trip in July, 2019. Sean did a great job putting together our itinerary for six rounds of golf. Our tee times were perfect for a group traveling from the states, having to get used to a new time zone. The hotel and B&B that were booked did a nice job too. We had to go with the ballot-option for the Old Course, and luckily we made it on. If you can travel in the months that they offer a guaranteed time, do so. You need to play the Old above all else.

Ian and his team helped plan a trip for my father and me to Ireland. We played on both coasts of Ireland/Northern Ireland over the course of a week and SGH was great throughout the entire experience. They worked with my repeated itinerary changes, and gave great advice on how to structure the trip. I was very satisfied with the price charged, and once we got there, they met us at the airport and helped us get our rental car. When we wanted to add another round of golf, I called and they secured a tee time within 24 hours of me calling. All the hotels were excellent (even though we got the standard, not the deluxe, package), and everything worked out perfectly. Just an all around great experience, and a true trip of a lifetime. Booked a golf trip to Scotland with SGH for my 50th birthday. Only thing I asked for was a "guaranteed" tee time on St. Andrews Old Course. Paid for trip in its entirety based on itinerary delivered to me 4 days before we paid. 2 months later, received updated itinerary showing that we were using "ballot" tee times. I was also refunded the money for 2 rounds at St. Andrews, one for Old Course and 1 for New Course that we paid for. Was told they made a mistake, however, more likely is that once they realized they couldn't "guarantee" a tee time, they tried to sneak it past us with the new itinerary. Called company immediately. Was assured that we would have no issues getting in the ballot by one of their employees. This was a blatant lie. We didn't get in the ballot. Only way we played was we got in line at 1:00am and stayed up until 1:20pm the next day when we got a cancellation spot.

There are many better companies to use. Go with a different company.

SGH GOLF was awesome! Prior to leaving they custom built our trip and promptly answered all of my many questions on numerous occasions regarding what to bring, best restaurants, clothing, golf expectations and how to get on the best courses, driving and many others before the trip and helped me plan effectively down to every detail so the experience was as enjoyable as possible. Once we landed we were met by their wonderful Scottish representative who immediately helped us, first to get our car and our luggage to it. After that he took us to a mall to help us buy a UK phone for US calls as cheaply as possible ($38 for the phone and 1000 minutes to the US!!) before putting us back on the road to our first destination. During the trip I was contacted by him at least daily to be certain everything was going well and to offer any additional help with anything we needed. Of course we had his number if for any reason we needed him. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SGH AND WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN AS I HAD IN THE PAST FOR MY PEBBLE BEACH GOLF TRIP.

Attention to detail and alternate day events were vetted out by the company. Last second requests for additional golf were received well and options were immediately communicated. Very well done in every respect.

We asked SGH Golf to plan a 17 day golf trip that would allow us to play 9 golf courses specified by us throughout Scotland and Ireland staying at mid-level B&Bs and driving ourselves with enough time off to experience the sights. The itinerary they proposed was right on and very efficient. Golf reservations at the worlds' top courses were flawless. Every reserved B&B was a joy to stay in with very personable proprietors. We were met by Douglas Yuill at Scotland's airport who helped secure our rental vehicle and get us started on our way. He was available to call during our entire trip for any problems. We never had to call. Ian and Tricia Jack, the owners of SGH operating from Cincinnati OH, were very personable and responsive to work with. I felt they wanted us to have a great time and would do what it takes to make it so. We did have a great time and we would recommend them to anyone contemplating a trip to either country.

The trip coordinators were great- the people on the ground taking us around were fantastic- and my bucket list experience was better than advertised- Great Trip!! Highly recommend it!

The trip was handled excellent from the day we started with SGH Golf.
Everything from booking of the courses, the travel arrangements, recommendations on restaurants was handled very professional.
I would recommend SGH Golf group to anyone that is looking to make a trip over to the Old country.

SGH Golf did a Great job in making the trip a good experience for the group. Great people to deal with in making everything come true for my group! Pleasing all 8 of us is a chore and SGH made it happen! In my opinion the only service to deal with is SGH !!!

Have travelled on two different trips to Scotland with their help. The way they handle all of the planning and in-county logistics is incredible and allows you to keep your focus on the important things, which for me was golf and the culture/history. They are incredibly value-added (and help you do things you could never do or even know about on your own) and I am not sure I would ever go back without them. Perfect blend of expertise, professionalism and personal attention.

For our group, golfing in Scotland was decidedly a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity - SGH really took away all the worry/hassle and allowed us to fully enjoy the experience.
