“You’re not important to us”
“You’re not important to us”
This is a review for South East Stone in Newington, Sittingbourne, Kent.
Eight long months ago I asked South East Stone to carry out a small and simple job - two pieces of quartz cut to shape. Despite constant polite requests for an update, I was brushed off time after time. “The edging machine is broken and we’re not going to replace it” …. “we forgot” … “we’ve lost the measurements” … and so on. No communication, ever, about the lengthy delay. And no apology, ever.
The last straw was when I was told, “The job may be important to you, but it’s not important to us.” This is a verbatim word for word account of what was said to me. Insulting. Inexcusable. Unforgiveable.
When the job was finally done, it was slapdash. The overhang of the bottom piece did not match that of the top piece. Two areas were left unsealed – sizeable gaps that I could actually put my finger in. These were areas that I had specifically pointed out needed sealing.
Eight months for a simple bread-and-butter job – followed by a demand for immediate payment.
My whole customer experience was distressing and stressful.
