It rained for two days straight on our camping trip and sensible weather says it did not meet the requirements for any reimbursement. Perhaps it didn’t technically meet there requirements, but I wou... See more

I didn't have to keep track of the weather, it did it for me so I could change my plans if needed.
I had accidentally added the wrong email address for my PayPal refund and they cancelled the refund for me so I could add in the correct address!! Thank you so much!
I won't book a KOA trip without Sensible Weather. It's too easy to sign up and very cost effective. We have saved our trip twice with a refund for rain. Thank you for offering this service.
The service was offered to us on the Jekyll Island hotel website. We accepted, and it was only in the fine print that we learned after the booking that even if the stay was cancelled we would pay the price of insurance. Then we found out we can''t even opt out of emails, so we get an email a day for a trip that was cancelled, for as long as it takes until the cancelled trip passes.

It was nice to have a little safety net just in case there was bad weather.
Having the peace of mind when traveling is fantastic!
Hard rain for more than 6 hours, yet their “data” says it didn’t rain at all. Tough pill to swallow when the insurance you bought really doesn’t feel legit.

Sensible weather is the coolest. Gamification on the weather front for vacations!? What a cool risk management option. Would definitely do it again even though I didn't benefit the first time. Love this idea!
Very easy and reasonably priced to set up. Quick to let me know if I had qualified each day or not and then prompt payments released.
Thank you
It was simple to use, and we received daily weather updates. Thank you!
It was a stress free trip because we had sensible weather. You never know how the weather is going to be. Even though we didnt have to use it, I would purchase it again.
Very easy to take the insurance with the hotel booking. Clear rules and guidance. Effective communication during the vacation, with speedy follow up.
We had a few days which qualified under the insurance. No hassle, and payout within 4 days.
Will certainly take out this insurance again for next trip.
I got my refund! It was good reassurance to know that even if I had bad weather at least I would get some money back.
It was easy to use and we had daily updates on the weather. Thanks
I purchased a Weather Guarantee expecting reasonable coverage if bad weather impacted my trip, but that was not my experience at all.
It rained essentially all day on 3/20 in Cannon Beach, with steady, persistent rain that made outdoor plans unusable. However, my claim was denied because, according to their interpretation of NOAA data, the rainfall did not meet their very specific threshold of 1.5 mm per hour for enough separate hours.
So even though NOAA data shows measurable precipitation throughout the day, and real-world conditions were clearly rainy and disruptive, they only count short periods of heavier rainfall and ignore the rest. In my case, they acknowledged it rained but still denied the claim because it didn’t meet their narrow hourly intensity requirement.
This feels extremely misleading. Most people would reasonably expect a “weather guarantee” to apply when it rains all day, not just during brief heavier bursts that hit a technical threshold.
Unfortunately, this seems designed to avoid payouts rather than reflect actual weather conditions. Definitely a “fool me once” situation — I won’t be purchasing this again.

WOW! Sensible weather was great. I signed up for it for a weekend in Cape May at the Congress Hall. Friday and Sunday had rain/snow. Sensible weather tracked the weather and notified me immediately to let me know I was getting funds from them and within 8 days the money was my bank account.
Very reliable! Great experience.
