Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the customer service, finding it unhelpful, unresponsive, and difficult to contact. Customers frequently encountered issues with the website and user experience, including login problems, non-functional features, and a confusing interface. The service itself was often described as unreliable, with many experiencing account suspensions or closures without notification, leading to significant inconvenience and operational challenges. Some people were dissatisfied with the company's communication regarding changes to their services, particularly when it involved pricing or account terms. However, some reviewers found the email editor UI to be convenient and intuitive, and felt that the service, despite its flaws, generally gets the job done if one understands how to use it.

The absolute WORST email provider I…

The absolute WORST email provider I have ever had the experience of dealing with. Save yourself and go with MailChimp or Constant Contact. This platform is completely impossible to work with and god help you if you need customer support.

The email service that don't deliver emails

Well, our password reset emails aren't being delivered anymore, or only after 24 hours, even if we have a good reputation and follow all recommendations. The answer we got from the support is basically "we grouped you with other senders, and they're doing bad stuff, so you pay the price". Only solution is to pay their expensive plan for dedicated IP or switch to another provider, which we're going to do.

Terrible customer support

Terrible customer support. They have turned on API access restrictions without our knowledge and locked us out of the account. There is no number to call and now we cannot even raise a ticket due to an issue on their platform. No way to escalate tickets so you are just going round and round in circles without any hope for resolution. Will move all our services to another provider.

Hello there,
Hope you are doing great!

• Acceptable Use Policy

Wow. You really don't want my business and wont even explain why? Bazaar business model. You do you I guess. Pretty crappy since microsoft uses you in its asp.net core verification example documentation. Maybe they need to not steer business your way.

---Their response---

Hello there,
Hope you are doing great!

I can definitely understand your frustration here and really apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Incompetent, unprofessional, an absolute farce.

I attempted to work with this company. They have failed to provide advertised service. In summary:

1. We made an appointment to pay more money and purchase additional services. The person with whom I made the appointment was not professional and kept saying AXE instead of ASK. He scheduled me for a time and date, but never sent any calendar invite, and nobody contacted me on the appointment date/time. I was unable to schedule a follow up appointment, they replied with irrelevant comments and closed the ticket.

2. They advertise a 1 day response time, multiple tickets I have created received no reply to my inquiry and were closed.

3. They suspended the account without explaining why. I attempted to find out why but no reply was given. Only copy-paste robotic replies.

In summary, trying to work with this company is less effective than having a conversation with a wall. It is impossible to contact anyone competent.

A terrible support that will never help you

SendGrid's support is terrible, and they should rework their entire ticket management process.

We chose SendGrid to send emails for a couple of our services and bought a subscription on the Microsoft Azure marketplace. We already had an enterprise account for SendGrid and followed the steps in the documentation and instructions on the screen to link the subscription. A technical error occurred, and the subscription could not be linked to SendGrid.

At first, we contacted Microsoft Azure support, who quickly redirected us to SendGrid support. We had several people in charge of our ticket, and SendGrid support received all the information from us each time. However, we had the impression that they did not read previous messages and did not check the attachments sent.

We discovered (by the support) that the account had been banned after buying the subscription. We had to verify our identity, all domains used and describe all our activities on their platform. After 10 days to process our request, they closed our ticket without resolving our problem, which was to link the subscription purchased on Microsoft Azure to our SendGrid account.

The issue was not resolved, and we lost a lot of time and money. But the account is unbanned, wonderful!

Stay away from SendGrid.

This company is extremely…

This company is extremely disappointing. Despite having their highest service tier, my account was unexpectedly suspended. I've been attempting to reach their support team for three days with no success. We are considering legal action and will pursue it promptly.

Don't waiste your time and money with SendGrid

My company is paying for the most expensive package they provide. Sometimes they would shut down our account for weeks. We would be in communication with a support agent and all of a sudden get assigned a new agent. The new agent wouldn't even take the time to read the ticket, thus restarting the whole process. They dump every single shortcoming of their platform on the client's doorstep instead of doing something themself.

Decent company. They have a fantastic API for sending transactional emails, but their customer support could definitely use some improvement. God forbid if you need anything from their support team.
