My mother and father in law bought a mobility scooter from this company. I’m
Selling it now as father in law dies only to find they were charged nearly £700 over the price they are advertised for on line.
Outrageous mark up. Taking advantage of old people.
I advise you to shop around!!!

I Red Flag !!!!

I bought a walk-in bath complete with jets and lights (like a spa bath).
There were teething issues with the first stages, including an unexpected £1,000+ to pay for electrics.
I asked the installers to salvage what they could from the bathroom. They salvaged the shower door but not the vertical radiator (a couple of years old).
They broke the toilet seat; didn’t tell me but replaced with another, which wasn’t fitted properly.
The workmen left without showing me how everything worked. The black marks on the floor of the bath were left by the workmen standing in it with their shoes on
The silicon sealing around bath, floor & cupboard was awful - had to be re-done, which took months!
But the biggest problem was that neither lights nor spa jets worked.

This was an an expensive purchase. I assumed Self Sure would be quick to fix the problems.
Mistake! It has been MONTHS since I first raised these issues with them. As of April 2026 they remain unfixed. I have lost track of all the phone calls, e-mails & promises made and broken. When they wanted something from me they pestered me by phone several times a day, but they did not answer my queries with anything like the same speed.

As it stands, they found a local workman to fix the problem with the silicon sealing - it’s still a mess, far below the standard of finish you would expect for the money. (over £11,000).
Bath remains unfixed.

My advice to anyone thinking of having a walk-in bath fitted is Do Not Use This Company!!

Great service from initial enquiry to installation.
We are really pleased with the wet room installation.
The installers were polite and their work was excellent.
Really impressed with how they kept everything as tidy as possible while they worked.
Great to see people with a pride in their workmanship.

Took my Nan to showroom and really impressed with time taken to assess her needs. She was measured for the right size and her health problems taken into account. She has her new rise and recline chair and thinks it’s great.

So very disappointed with this company , my mattress is like sleeping on a range of mountains !It is not fit for purpose!just would like one good nights sleep

All staff very helpful throughout the whole process. New bathroom great. Fitter Anthony, friendly, professional and very tidy.

My mum had a new bathroom fitted by self sure and she was so pleased with it that she decided to have the kitchen redone too by the same company. The quality is first class and the people who were carrying out the work were so polite and professional and all in all they did a fantastic job. My mum is super pleased I would recommend them to anybody

Initially this company appeared helpful,in particular when I was placing an order for a scooter. Firstly, the time scales for delivery were not as said, lots of excuses.
Sadly for me I had a very personal tragedy the day before delivery. Again initially very understanding then,
I had given 50percent deposit, they took 20 percent of this even though the order was not delivered to me and just st in the 14 day cool off period. I did not have the energy to fight so enjoy my£200.
Worse still this company has kept the rest of my money until the very last of 14 days and tell me it still may not in my account.
None of the staff are at all concerned it seems to keep your money to the last legal limit. Why would you do that, I will not ever recommend this company to anyone, Paul, you are the owner, why practice like that ?

Absolutely amazing! Their customer service is brilliant! Their plumber was the best guy we had ever had do work in our home ! He went above and beyond to make sure all was quality work ! Recommended to all our friends & family

We recently bought a new mobility scooter from Self Sure. The Scooter is very well designed and the advice and service provided by Lauren & Ronnie was excelent.

We had a wet room fitted by a different company and it was awful, so we decided to completely start again. We saw an advertisement for Selfsure in a local free brochure, Conor came out to see us and was really helpful in designing a new bathroom that would solve the issue left by the previous fitters. They had a great deal of work to do as we have concrete floors, but it didn’t faze them at all. Adam and his co worker were excellent, keen to make sure they didn’t disturb me while they worked. Then after completing a lovely bathroom they came back to paint the ceiling and touch up on any areas that needed. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a new bathroom. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks Selfsure for a lovely bathroom and caring professional service.

I bought a mobility scooter from SelfSure. I was really happy with the tailored service. I would recommend to anyone looking for any mobility products.

We had a wet room fitted in July and have just had a stairlift fitted for my husband who has Parkinson’s and are so pleased with both jobs ,and would definitely recommend them to anyone.All staff were kind and caring thank you to everyone.

Got a new recliner for my mother through SelfSure, they were very patient going through everything with her. They made sure it was the perfect size for her height/weight- she absolutely loves it! Delivery guys were very friendly, she wouldn’t stop praising them.

Just got my new bed from this company,what excellent service I received,from start to finish,really professional,nothing was too much trouble,would definitely recommend them,they went above and beyond.

Avoid this company at all costs. My electric folding mechanism broke on my scooter. It is needed due to medical reasons (the electric folding). On the phone appeared to be genuine and caring. A charity paid for a 3yr plan and an engineer was sent out. The folding mechanism was broken. Due to costs a nursing charity paid £850 upfront to fix problem. Engineer came out new nothing about folding mechanism and fixed something else. He also replaced the battery, nothing wrong with it. It has been a battle with this company ever since. The nursing CHARITY have phoned and phoned this company, many promises r made and nothing happens. All emails have been kept by charity as proof of what was to be fixed on my scooter. This company has blazingly taken charitable money and behaved as above. Also they charged £700 for the battery and u can buy a brand new 1 of amazon or ebay for between £300 and £400. I confronted them about this NO RESPONSE. I've been unable to get out of house independently for months THANKS Self Sure.

Initially pleased with wet room. Two days later the toilet seat came adrift. Self sure arranged for a plumber to come on the Thursday ( never arrived) Said be with me Friday ( didn't arrive) Appeared Monday early ( we were still in bed) Said seat was faulty and should be replaced(then went away) our plumber attemted a repair at Self sure expense' but this didn't work either. Self sure now want £100 for a replacement seat!!As the original one was not fit for purpose, It should be replaced F.O.C. Suggest you do not use this Company
