Better Clarification

At Rural King in Front Royal, VA, I saw a dump trailer that I really liked. SKU#2023027358. $7599.99

Went inside and got the information for financing the trailer. They said that there would be no problem getting a loan for the full amount.

I am approved for a loan in the amount of $6,000., not $7599.99

If I knew it would end up not being the full amount, I WOULD NOT have applied for it.

This is very poor customer service!!

Completed the online application for 18…

Completed the online application for 18 mo CD 5.8% on Dec1,2023, was advised the application was waiting to be approved. On Dec 7, I had not received any information so I called Bank, left message, but no response. On Dec 8 emailed Bank, no response. On Dec 11, emailed and called bank, no response. As of Dec 13, I still have not received a response and unable to contact an actual person. Very unprofessional. My guess they got swamped with customers for the great 5.8% rate, yet don't have sufficient employees. I lost 12 days of interest waiting for this nonsense. I was actually worried I might have been scammed giving out all my personal information, as well as my photo in the application. I opened an account at another Bank today for 5.25%. It took about 15 minutes.

I had high hopes for Seattle Bank

I had high hopes for Seattle Bank. They are currently offering 5.8% CD rates, one of the best in the industry. I went through the hassle of filling out their application over a week ago, inputting my social security number (which I always hate to do), and waited for them to verify my account by sending two small payments (less than a dollar) to my checking account. All went well and I called tried to complete the application. What a nightmare!

I could not figure out how to get back into my prior application; the process and website of Seattle Bank was absurdly complicated and I could not just "click" on a button to complete the application. I was redirected to another website and this instantly raised red flags for me as I was suspecting I was being scammed. After becoming frustrated with this confusing process, I called them.

I had to wait for a little bit before I was connected to a customer service representative, a polite young woman. Thankfully, she spoke good English and I was pleased to learn their call center is NOT located in India but here in the States. I explained to her my issues with completing the application and how difficult it was; she explained they are a small bank with only about ten people to man the phones and admitted they are having issues with their website and the problems of new customers with easily navigating through it.

That was last week. I still have not heard back from Seattle Bank concerning this CD. All this has left a bad taste in my mouth for this bank and I have to admit it has lost my confidence. I went looking for reviews and found they are not all that great. I'm giving them 2 stars because I'm very dissatisfied with the entire experience with this bank and won't be holding my breath until my application is "approved," if ever.
