DUTCH: De bank die we besteld hadden, werd geleverd nadat de maximale wachttijd bijna voorbij was, maar de bekleding was beschadigd. We hebben via de website een klacht ingediend met gedetailleerde foto's en een beschrijving. We hebben ook een oplossing voorgesteld die waarschijnlijk voor beide partijen zou werken (de bank behouden, maar met een financiële compensatie). We kregen als antwoord dat we foto's van de bank in de originele verpakking moesten meesturen, wat natuurlijk een belachelijk en onrealistisch verzoek is. Schade is immers niet zichtbaar als de bank nog in de verpakking zit. Als klant moet je dus foto's maken van de bank vóór het uitpakken, omdat er schade kan zijn die je niet kunt zien of verwachten door de verpakking heen. Zelfs als je de verpakking nog hebt en er weer omheen wikkelt, vertelt dat het bedrijf niets over wanneer de schade is ontstaan ​​(in de fabriek of tijdens het transport), omdat de verpakking al kapot is. Dat Seats & Sofas deze verantwoordelijkheid om het tijdstip van de schade te 'bewijzen' bij de klant legt, vinden wij echt absurd. Er gebeurt niets met onze klacht en we zitten er maar mee.

ENGLISH: The couch we ordered was delivered after the maximum time of waiting was nearly finished, but arrived with some damage on the fabric. We've sent a complain via the website with detailed pictures and description. Also we suggested a solution that will probably work for both parties (keeping the couch but with a financial compensation). We've received a reply that we need to add photo's of the couch in original packaging, which is of course a stupid and unrealistic ask. Damages can't be be seen when the couch is in the package. So as a customer you need to take pictures of the couch before unpacking, because there might be damages you can't see or expect through the package, before opening. Even if you would still have the package and wrap it back around it, it will not tell the company anything about when the damage was done (in factory or during transport), as the package is already broken. The fact that Seats & Sofas puts this responsibility to 'prove' timing of damage in the hands of the customer is really insane in our view. Nothing is happening with our complain and we are just left with it.

The reviews are fake. I can tell you that they really screwed me over. Whatever you do, do not buy from them!!! You will thank me!

Background: I went to their store, and found a couch I liked. They offered me this special deal to pay in installments, so I took it as I had just bought a new home and needed the money. I concluded a contract with them on the 5th of September, when I paid the first installment of 250 EUR, in the shop. On that day, my sofa was in stock, at the shop in the Hague, as stated by the sales assistant. The sales assistants said that I can pay the second installment when they deliver the couch and that I can make an appointment for this delivery later on. Two weeks pass, and I get a phone call that they cannot deliver the couch until I paid everything. I told the customer service that this is not what was told to me when I orginally bought the sofa etc, but they insisted so I transferred the rest of 600 EUR. I contacted them afterwards to make an appointment for the couch delivery, but as it was the weekend, they refused and said I need to contact them during workdays. I contacted them again and we agreed that they will deliver the couch on the 29th of September. They said I will be the first one the list to get her delivery. Mind you, the delivery is 150 EUR extra. On the 29th of September, the delivery man told me that my couch was at a different store (???), so the sales assistants from the Den Haag store sold the couch that was intended for me to a different customer in the meantime. Starting the 29th until the 2nd of October, I called their driver and their call center multiple times, which had all ranges of excuses from ''This is the call center in Hengelo'' (?? there is only one number) to ''I cannot help you', you need to go to the Den Haag store". I went to the store, and told them that I wanted to cancel my order, as no one knew where my order was or when it was going to be delivered. They said that as a cancellation fee, a 50% fee will be deducted from the refund and if I do not want that, I need to give them more time to deliver. It doesn't matter the cancellation was due to their inability to deliver, nor did it matter that this couch was not custom-made, so they could re-sell it to anyone. This is illegal.

It's really a disgusting way to screw people over, so that's that.
