Very misleading advertising

Very misleading advertising on a luxury escape to Phuket
Money back was pushed cancel recieve a full refund
When I tried to cancel hotel 4 months before arrival date
O no i can have a credit which i don't want will never use scoopon again or go through their insurance and answer many questions and required to upload documents I don't have
Never Again buy through scoopon all is ok until you try to cancel even if they say 100 percent money back its not true

Be careful of their adverts. After falling for Scoopon-Luxury escape…

After falling for Scoopon-Luxury escape advertising misleading adverts before, I always double check everything. On a previous holiday, which was booked with ocean views for a place in Bali last year, there was no ocean view as advertised as it was fully blocked by trees. Their answer was we have no control over how big trees grow. As I said to them, it did not occur over night, it took years for those trees to grow that big, but no response. When I contacted the Hotel itself, they said we do not advertise ocean views you need to take it up with them. So, no joy, just the run around. Today's problem has been going on since the 13th of January 2026. I received an email from Scoopon on that date advertising the Pullman Brisbane King George Square hotel for (from) $169.00 per night for a 1+ nights' accommodation. I personally checked the website to see which dates this was for, as I was unable to find any dates for this value I called Scoopon on the 13th of January 2026 and spoke with Rex. Rex promised on the 13th to call me back the same day or at the latest the next day. Since then, Rex and other people have not answered my question, but today said it was from and Hotels change their prices depending on demand. I understand prices change depending on demand, occupancy rates etc. My point is when you advertise a price, it should be able to be found on the site, immediately when you receive the email and it was not. I personally consider this false advertising in both cases. By the way, still waiting for an answer from Rex some seven days later on what dates it was available for.

Be very AWARE -Travel Scoopon- Luxury Escapes.
I made reservations for Mantra on View Surfers Paradise. The photos showed a pool. After I paid and made the booking I discovered THERE WAS NO POOL AT ALL - and NO REFUND for MISLEADING ADVERTISING! I paid $613.80. I explained that it was a present for my daughters 18th Birthday and that I require THE MONEY so I could Book somewhere else. They were NOT INTERESTED AT ALL ARE NOT willing to acknowledge the false advertising and repeatedly said the contract states NO REFUND!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN 01/11/2025 :-(

Imran M was a fantastic support and continued to follow up and ensure that the customer (my husband and me) were looked after and could still proceed to have a holiday.
What a wonderful outcome, after the past 2 difficult months.

Voucher doesn’t work online

Voucher doesn’t work online. Told by restaurant I need barcode that’s not available online. Told by restaurant to call Scoopon, been trying to get through for 2 days and I am put in a “call back queue” but they have called back in 2 days. My voucher needs to be used today, looks like I am going to lose it and waste my money.

Purchased a voucher

Purchased a voucher as a gift, then realised that the recipient needs to log in to Scoopon become a member to actually retrieve the voucher also I had no idea the price would be printed on the voucher I was to give to the recipient as a gift, not a good look.
I called Scoopon back within less than an hour asking for refund and apparently they don’t give you refunds for gift vouchers. Also it has expiry date, great take my money and give you expiry date.
Being disappointed I asked for manager.
I’m still waiting from someone higher for my refund.
This is unacceptable and stupid way the gift vouchers system they provide.
Never will purchase anything from Scoopon again or recommend them, bad business.
If I could give them a -ve ⭐️ I would.

Kind and efficient service

Luxury Escapes/Scoop On Nightmare

We booked a package holiday for 5 nights at SeaWorld resort in October 2023, so basically a year ago! A super good deal with loads of inclusions for only $1349 for the 5 of us for 5 nights. We arranged to meet some of our dear friends and their kiddos there from NZ at the same time and all stay together as it would have been nearly a year and a half since seeing each other. We paid half the package price and were told the balance would be taken in August 2024.

In the meantime, we booked and paid for flights, booked other accommodation for the rest of the trip and booked and paid for a car.

A few weeks ago I logged in to check the inclusions again and make sure all was sorted. To my horror, the holiday had been cancelled and we had a ‘credit’ to use before November 2024. In a panic I got in touch and they said the package had been cancelled because they had tried to take the payment and it bounced. Unfortunately my card details had changed and I didn’t realise! Yes that is my bad but I had no idea. They claimed they sent an email. I never received it! I spent loads of time searching through them and there was only marketing emails. Why did they not call me??? Surely someone who books a holiday that far in advance and pays half, wants the holiday?

The package was on sold to someone else and was no longer available for the dates we needed. We got hold of SeaWorld direct and managed to book in at double the price just for the room and one less night. No inclusions 💸💸💸

Over the next 2 weeks we have trying to speak to a manager at Luxury Escapes/Scoop On about the whole debacle and their processes. Today they finally offered us our money back, and will forgo the $30 admin fee. Wow. How kind of them to offer us our own money back that they have held it for a year?

Super disappointed and a warning to others. We have never come across a more unhelpful company who really just don’t care.

Edited to add after their response: they did not try to retrieve our booking from SeaWorld. We have been in close contact with SeaWorld throughout this stressful time and this is simply not true.

Unfortunately, we don't have control over how emails are received or filtered, and we understand that missing such an important notification must have been very frustrating. We genuinely tried to work with the property to retrieve the booking after the payment failed, but despite our best efforts, we were unable to secure it.

We completely understand your concern about the lack of a phone call and appreciate your feedback on this. Your suggestion for additional communication methods is something we will take on board to improve our processes in the future.

Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience and are sorry that we could not offer a more satisfactory resolution. We do hope you’ll give us the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

Excellent customer service and a great result.

I wish to acknowledge the outstanding customer service of Mohamad A. He was extremely helpful in following up on my request to alter my number of nights with the hotel and organise a refund. I honestly can say Mohamad explained the process clearly to me, and then followed by phone and email. Very impressive indeed. I will be making more bookings with Scoopon and encouraging my family and friends to do so too.
