Our experience with School Space to date has been extremely disappointing, and it was not by choice that we found ourselves using their services.
Their ticketing system frequently takes several days to generate even a basic response. Straightforward matters that should be simple to resolve often require 20 or more emails back and forth before any progress is made.
At the same time, there is a clear imbalance in communication. While operational and finance queries can go unanswered for days despite repeated follow-ups, invoice reminders are sent persistently — often on an almost daily basis. It is frustrating to be chased for payment while still awaiting responses to legitimate queries from their Finance team.
To compound matters further, prices have increased twice within just a few months, yet the level of service and the standard of facilities do not justify these increases and fall short of comparable alternatives.

UPDATED POST. After I wrote the review below, School Space did contact me. They apologised for the issues that I experienced, refunded the session and are working with the school to ensure that the facilities meet client expectation. For recent badminton sessions the sports hall has been swept and was in a good state for play. I have updated the star rating from 1 to 3 given their response. If School Space improve their response times on email communications and review their financial processes to ensure a stronger administrative experience for customers, I will improve this rating again.
Unfortunately my experience, as a regular user of a Schools Space venue, has not been a positive one. Every email takes days to get a response (if any). A year ago SS invoiced me for February, cancelled three out of four dates, then ignored all requests for a refund. Bike parking and gates are locked intermittently hampering access. Last September I asked for my credit card details to be deleted, but they have since been used. And then last week unsafe filthy badminton courts with no response to my recent email for over a week. May be this will trigger some communications? Fingers crossed.

We've worked with SchoolSpace for many years and they are reliable partners.
Their website is easy to use for bookings, making adjustments to timings is very quick and straightforward, if we need to make a cancellation it's hassle free.
Their terms are fair and the customer service is good. Issues are dealt with by the team, any venue problems that occur get fixed.
The onsite staff are always very friendly when I deal with them and helpful if last minute changes or challengers pop up.
Overall I would recommend using them if you are looking to book event space.

Excellent service if your looking for venue hire, all staff great and can never do enough to ensure the bookings go as planned, as a business running events I have found the service from Danny and Clive exceptional, invoicing and bookings very easy and always accommodating to our needs. Would recommend to anyone who needs venues to hire, they have a large selection in many different areas and spaces available.

I normally book venues direct with the venue so when I found out I needed to book through a third party I was dreading it.
Christian made the process very easy answering all my questions quickly and thoroughly. The person on site that showed me round (Vince I think) was also very polite and helpfull. Christian helped me set up my account so the process of booking space should be very straight forward in future. 10 out of 10 for both Christian in the office and Vince on site.
