I´ve been using Savvy for my Ltd company accounts, payroll and Self Assessments for some years now. I have found them to be friendly, proactive and honest throughout. They are punctual and professional when it comes to filing time and their monthly fee for the services I´m subscribed to are very reasonable in comparison to some other firms in London. I have no hesitation in recommending Alex and the team at Savvy Accounting.

Avoid. An absolutely awful experience. Would regularly send the wrong forms for me to complete, and would be rude when I queried them. Gave wrong information resulting in a fine from HMRC. I could never get hold of her so issues would go on for weeks. Really stressful experience as a new small business. Would not recommend.

I had a recent email from Savvy Accounting entitled "A quick favour from your accountant" asking for a review, despite the fact I am no longer their client. As I was approached and asked for a review, I'm happy to provide it.
When I initially met with Alex (the owner) I was looking for a local accountant to provide me with a personalised experience for my small business (I'm a sole trader). A lot was promised at our initial meeting, but I didn't feel it was delivered.
Most of my bookkeeping was processed remotely, receipts uploaded by me or emailed to an email address for them to be uploaded etc. I didn't feel like I was getting a personalised approach at all, or any accounting advice of any real value to me as a new business. Queries were met with a very brief answers most of the time from Alex or she'd direct me to the bookkeeper instead and then remind me me how much they would charge me per hour to speak to them. It eventually felt a little too much like my needs weren't very important to them at all. Very efficient with charging for every interraction, less interested in a personalised or personal approach.
I was happy to part ways with them and am now with an accounting firm where it's a much nicer experience for me.
I was new to working with an accountant when I enlisted the help of Savvy Accounting and I suppose what I learned from being their client was what I didn't want from my accountant and the type of relationship which was important for me, so that was helpful.
I wouldn't recommend them, unfortunately.

I’ve been so impressed with Savvy Accounting — they make everything feel easy and organised. The team are friendly, professional, and genuinely care about helping your business run smoothly. Communication is quick, clear, and nothing ever feels too much trouble. I finally feel confident that my accounts are in safe hands!
Exceptional service from start to finish!
Savvy Accounting are reliable, organised, and completely trustworthy. Everything is completed on time and clearly explained, which makes the whole process so straightforward. Their attention to detail is exceptional — you can tell they genuinely care about getting everything right. I have total confidence in their work and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for an outstanding accounting team!
The accountant I used at Savvy (Alex, who I understand is the owner) made more than one mistake over the four years I employed her to do my relatively straightforward tax returns. I got fed up with having to check things carefully, so I switched firms and my new accountant also picked up other things that Savvy had got wrong over the years. I think Savvy are very reasonable, but therefore are slap-dash in their approach to be able to deliver cheaper fees to clients. Sadly, before I realised this, I had recommended Savvy to a friend, who suffered from a much larger tax calculation mistake by Savvy and then had to pay penalties to HMRC due to the Savvy error. Savvy have refused to take responsibility and my friend has been left out of pocket (despite evidence to show that my friend had questioned the amount and been told that she was wrong). Whilst I appreciate our experiences have all been down to one member of the Savvy team, our understanding is that this person owns the company. I would therefore strongly recommend using an alternative firm.

I’ve used Savvy Accouting for nearly 10 years now. It provides an excellent, unfussy service that usually resulted in a rebate from HMRC covering the cost of the service and then some!

I’ve been working with Alex at Savvy Accounting for many years, and she has always been incredibly helpful and approachable. Whenever I have a question about my tax affairs, she’s quick to offer clear, practical support. I have complete confidence in her professionalism and the quality of her work.
We were very happy with the accounts drawn up by Savvy. As new customers, they had to familiarise themselves with our particular income sources. All went well. Next year should be even easier as we know each other better. We have had the same accountant for years but he retired. Now we are confident that savvy will make our accounts stress free in future.

We engaged Savvy Accounting as a small grassroots charity, believing their team understood the key differences between accounting for a charity and for a small business. Unfortunately, when it came to preparing our annual accounts, it became clear that this was not the case.
Basic information was handled incorrectly, and the year-end accounts were not prepared in line with charity regulations or reporting standards. We later had to appoint another accountant to correct their work, and two independent firms have since confirmed that the accounts were not compliant with charity accounting requirements.
Our experience has been both costly and stressful. If you are a charity, I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere for an accountant with proven experience in the not-for-profit sector.
