Gearbox claim accepted with no fuss

I took a diamond warranty out on a second hand Ford Puma and a year later the third gear synchro broke and needed replacing. I raised a claim with Save Money Hub and, to their credit, the claim was accepted and paid with no fuss. Take my advice and don’t buy a Ford, but if you do, this company seems to be pretty reliable for when things do start to go wrong with it.

Brought Gap Insurance from them

Brought Gap Insurance from them. Unfortunately, car was written off two years later. Fortunately they paid out back to the invoice value. Proved to be a literal Godsend having this cover.

Gap insurance review

I recently dealt with this company for my claim, and while my issue was eventually resolved, the process left a lot to be desired. Initially, they promised to expedite my payment as a courtesy, which I appreciated. However, the communication throughout the process was poor. I had to constantly chase for updates, and despite being told the payment would be processed by a certain date, it was delayed by over a week with no clear explanations.

I understand that delays can happen, but what frustrated me most was the lack of responsiveness. Calls went unanswered, and emails often took days to get a response. It created unnecessary stress, especially since I was facing financial hardship and urgently needed the funds.

In the end, I did receive my payment, so I’m grateful for that, but the experience could have been much smoother with better communication and clearer timelines. If they improve in those areas, I think they could offer a much better service.

I recently purchased gap insurance and had to use it

I recently purchased gap insurance and was extremely satisfied with the process. Howard and Eamonn were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, guiding me through each step with patience and clarity. They answered all my questions thoroughly and addressed any concerns I had. Their expertise and friendly demeanor truly took the stress out of a decision that could have been overwhelming. I highly recommend their services to anyone considering gap insurance.

A few months wait, but got there in the end!

5 months to get it but it did work out in the end.

Eamonn Richardson did get it sorted but the company do lose one star because of the time it took. However on these high value vehicles Vs the amount you pay for the insurance really you can't complain as long as you are accurate with your paperwork and the facts of the claim!

I have taken a new policy out again on my replacement car, so hoping I don't have to use it again! It's certainly beneficial to have though!

I had heard the gap insurance system was no longer being offered with some new vehicles, so it is best to shop around and get your own, which is what I did anyway.

Save money hub do offer value for money so if you need gap insurance it's worth it! 👍👍

Very poor support from save money hub

I have used save money for several years now for my car, hourly wheel insurance and the company they subbed out to revive. I’ve been very good until there was a slight fault in the work and The Paint started flaking. Firstly, I was told an appointment had been made. I took half a day off work. The engineer turned up his own work and said it wasn’t his fault then drove off. I’ve tried to contact revive but they have not responded so have given the appropriate trustpilot one star. Also very disappointed with save money hub as my contact Howard who I dealt with over the years said they’ve been to look at your car and say it’s not their fault again me being a customer. They should’ve at least looked into this further but didn’t and again had no contact back even after many emails so will have to look elsewhere. I have to say when both companies are working well it’s an excellent service so if you do not have an issue there will be no problems. It’s just when you get an issue and possibly that’s when you want the services of a good company.

However, upon reviewing the situation, I believe the review may be both unfair and inaccurate. Allow me to provide some context:
As indicated in the email correspondence dated February 5th, Revive notified us that the damage you reported was deemed "fresh," and they assured us that submitting a new claim would rectify the issue. Subsequently, on February 6th, you contacted us to express your disagreement with Revives assessment of the damage and requested alternative repair options, citing concerns about the quality of their work.
I would like to highlight that over the course of three years with Savemoneyhub, you've had a total of 16 repairs facilitated by Revive, all of which were completed without any reported issues or complaints about the quality of their service. It's worth noting that your policy expired on February 7th. However, had you agreed to initiate a "fresh claim" with Revive, the repair of your wheel could have been completed before the policy expiration date.
I genuinely regret any inconvenience or dissatisfaction you may have experienced throughout this process. Please know that we are committed to addressing your concerns and ensuring that your future interactions with our company are nothing short of satisfactory.

Avoid seem to be a company who deals with other companies …

Shocking iv had my gap insurance policy declined due to a bank error cancelling my direct debit . Eamonn Richardson who is dealing with my claim . For some reason is using email steve @ reclaims for money hub . I have paid my monthly premium and now been told that my claim is void do to this direct debit issue I had a valid claim from the date of start 30/11/2023 I had my incident on the 19/12/2023 and made a claim just before Christmas 2023 now months down the li e and nothing but no contact for days been told that I will not be able to be claim on my policy . I have gone over my policy with bed hill Ltd and rest ashored and invictus protect with me being led to the Eamonn Richardson at money hub ? I’m confused non the least who do I deal with rest ashored Ltd Bexhill or invictus protect ? Or are you all the same comapney ? Iv emaied Eamonn back and Jo reply . I’m now taking this matter to the financial osbudsman as I fell somtho g is not right and what comapney is dealing with my claim rest ashored bex hill or invictus protect . Or you money hun

We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your recent experience. However, we would like to clarify that you purchased your policy through a company called GID, for whom we manage claims. GID would have provided you with all the necessary details regarding your obligations under the terms of the policy, including the payment of scheduled and contractual monthly premiums.
This policy sale had nothing to do with SaveMoneyHub on whose site you have left the review.
We understand, as we are sure you do, that there are several aspects to your premium payment and claim, beyond the specific issues mentioned in your review, which unfortunately led to the decline of your claim. However, we prefer not to discuss these matters in a public forum as we have detailed them in depth and directly with yourself in our various email correspondences. However, you are aware that your policy was cancelled due to non-payment of any premium within the reasonably and contractually required timescales, despite both ourselves and the premium finance company giving you several opportunities to make them.
Also, as detailed in our emails, you have the right to lodge a complaint following the proper procedures outlined in the Terms and Conditions, provided by GID, at the inception of your disputed policy.
While we understand your disappointment regarding the rejection of your claim, we stand by our decision, as we believe that all proper due process was followed by us and you have not honoured your contractual obligations.

AVOID! Terrible customer service

I took out a gap insurance policy online, I noted that the car purchase date and policy start date were incorrect on the documents sent through. I emailed to rectify this error and had no response.
48 hours later, I received a call from them to confirm I understood the policy I had taken out. I mentioned the date error and was told they were behind on emails but it would be dealt with.
I followed this up with a further 2 emails, called and left a voice message and called again the following day and was cut off twice. All this was over a period of 2 weeks so ample time for them to respond.
Customer service completely non-existent and of concern if you needed to get in touch to claim on the policy. Avoid at all costs.
