Very disappointing experience…

We had a very disappointing experience with this company based in Stroud and would not recommend them.

The engineers (Andy & son) attended to set up our Starlink system but appeared unfamiliar with modern equipment. This lack of knowledge was concerning for a company presenting itself as experienced in satellite and aerial installations and were in this instance assigned by Star-link themselves. When they said they didn’t know what the equipment was and we should send it back for a refund, it should have triggered red flags.

When we requested assistance connecting our Hive heating system to the broadband, but were told they were “not heating engineers” and could not assist. While understandable in isolation, this again should have red flagged a broader lack of capability in handling integrated home systems and our ring security cameras, you guessed it they were not security specialists.

More seriously, they left our broadband setup in a worse state than before. Our Sky mini boxes were left non-functional, and we were told they would return within 10 days, Friday 24th April 2026, to resolve the issues.

They never came back ! Never seen or heard from them since.
Now It may be one or both of them have fallen ill or the company gone into sudden liquidation. But zero contact is fairly inexcusable.

We received no follow-up, no communication, and no resolution. Despite claiming to be a “trusted family service” with decades of experience, sadly our experience was the opposite: unreliable, incomplete, and unprofessional.

Overall, the service lacked:

* Technical competence with modern systems
* Accountability for unfinished work
* Basic communication and follow-through

We were left without a working system and had to seek help elsewhere.

Avoid if you need reliable, up-to-date, and professional service.

Star-link really need to vet the company’s representing them better.
