My experience is about selling my car and I can not recommend them.

My experience is about selling my car on a commission basis. Initially and throughout, I've found the people at Sara Cox Cars extremely friendly and straight forward to talk to. At times difficult to receive a call back, but my main concern is about the final settlement of payment for my car.
Firstly, I only found out that my car was sold when I checked the DVLA middle of August 2025. It turned out it was taxed and MOT'd middle of July. After a couple of weeks with phone calls, monies were transferred to my bank account and this is where my real issue is.
I had agreed on a minimum price for my car, which was transferred, but it was impossible to get any of the people at the dealership to produce a calculation showing how they conveniently ended up that that exact number.
Over the course of 3-4 months with several phone calls and emails, I tried to get documentation showing their calculations. My efforts have resulted in one reply from Daniel, which i responded to and then since total silence.
The amount unaccounted for is £1500

Fantastic experience

Excellent experience. After an issue selling my car via a well known auction site, I decided to approach these guys directly. From my first call, handled very professionally, I knew Mark was going to be a great person to do business with. I received a very fair offer for my vehicle, with no haggling as the car was exactly as described. The deal was done, the car was sold and the money in my account all within within 2 hours of my initial phone call. My other half will be changing her car shortly and we will be going straight back to Sarah Cox Cars!

This is an unusual review as I didn't manage to purchase a vehicle but the Service and attention I received the staff (especially Nathan with whom I dealt with). Nothing was to much trouble. Unfortunately, I couldn't go through with the purchase because of mitigating circumstances but I feel strongly enough to write this review on the strength of the courteous and professional manner and their understanding of my situation. If the opportunity arises in the future to purchase a vehicle from Sarah Cox Cars then I wouldn't hesitate to use them. Top people.

I can’t fault the service I received…

I can’t fault the service I received from Sarah Cox Motors. Every member of staff I met was friendly and welcoming, with no pushy sales tactics whatsoever.

A special thank you to Daniel, who kept me updated on when my car would be ready and went the extra mile to help me find a great insurance deal.

I absolutely love my new car — it was immaculately polished, and the wheels were refurbished to look as good as new, just as promised.

Fantastic service from start to finish

I Purchased a used car from the team a little over four weeks ago, in that time a slight problem occurred with the engine - the guys were extremely helpful and keen to resolve the problem and fixed the car without any issue. I am extremely grateful to the kind and helpful manner to which they resolved this issue and would have no hesitation in going back to buy my next car. Thank you guys

I purchased a bmw z4 which was…

I purchased a bmw z4 which was delivered to my home.
The car sounded rough and immediately warning lights came up on the dashboard.
This was reported immediately and then I had to wait several weeks for car to be collected and returned.I was told all was fixed when they finally returned the car after weeks and it was not ,in fact additional problems including engine management light amongst other issues.
So again the was off road and I had to find my own mechanic to repair those issues.( and claim of the flimsy warranty just in time as 3 months had now expired)
After a very frustrating ownership never knowing if more lights would come up a few weeks later now more warning lights and engine overheating when I’d driven 2 hours from home so was forced to pay for recovery collection back.
Sarah Cox cars refused to pay for the repairs as the warranty had expired.
I am now having to pay again for the repairs and deal with this legally to have the full mechanical costs of £630 refunded.
Consumer act 2015 covers you after the warranty for up to 6 months for any one who finds themselves in this position.
I also recommend to make part of your initial purchase cost with a credit card for additional protection.
Feel free to make your own opinions I’m just explaining my experience with this company and I’ve never left a bad review in my life.

Firstly we support good and bad reviews, we never delete the bad ones like many companies do and will simply respond as there are always 2 sides to every story.
There are elements of your review that are correct for sure and there are elements we don’t agree with.
Firstly let’s start with the car you have purchased,- the car was sold with 140,000 miles so you do always expect higher maintenance costs and more risk of a problem occurring, that’s pretty obvious.
You had a fault which we tried to repair here and correctly it evidently became clear it hadnt fixed your car so you had it inspected and repaired at the garage of your choice at no cost to yourself (so not sure where the comment flimsy warranty came from)
The fault with your car now which is 5 months from purchase is a water-pump leaking, unfortunately although we have paid in full for the fault within your warranty period which you are fully aware of is 3 months you feel we should be responsible at this stage for repairing your car now it is out of warranty, which we have declined. It has to be noted you have had your car in our garage, you have had it in at a garage of your choice too and you have driven it for over 3000 miles and there has never been a water leak problem so that shows to you and everyone else that it is a fault that has just happened, a water pump is a wear and tear part. We at the time offered you £250 as goodwill towards fixing as you had a previous problem, you declined this and have decided to leave us negative reviews across different platform’s. Anyone who has dealt with us before knows we are more than fair and we feel we have gone above and beyond our legal and moral responsibilities to try and leave you satisfied - we understand we can’t please everyone but we are satisfied with our efforts.

Misleading, morally wrong and ethically unacceptable

I contacted Sarah Cox Cars on 1st October about a Chausson 640 motorhome at £49,911. They confirmed it was available and I immediately made it clear I was a serious buyer. I asked to leave a refundable deposit to hold it, arranged for my son to view it, and confirmed I was ready to finance through their own recommendation or pay cash.
Despite this, communication was slow, promises were broken, and I was continually strung along. Then, out of the blue, I was told the vehicle had been sold — not to a new customer, but to someone who had previously dropped out weeks earlier.
This conduct is morally wrong and ethically unacceptable. To knowingly mislead a genuine buyer, waste their time, and deny them the chance to secure the vehicle after repeated offers of a deposit is indefensible.
In my experience, Sarah Cox Cars showed no honesty, professionalism or basic respect. I would strongly warn others to think very carefully before trusting this company.

Had an amazing experience with Sarah…

Had an amazing experience with Sarah cox cars, bought an Audi s3 from them and traded in my golf gti. Gave me a good price for my vehicle and loving the S3. All staff are great and efficient, I’ve bought over 30 cars in my 10 years of driving and this has been by far the best experience I’ve had. Showroom is worth a trip itself, can’t remember the lads name who dealt with us but thank you again.

Customer service review

I live 250 miles away and had been in touch about buying a car which I unfortunately missed out on. I was reluctant to leave a deposit due to the distance involved and luck wasn't on my side.

However, the communication and overall customer service from Nathan was exemplary.

Such a pleasant experience! Highly recommended!!!

We brought our Q8 from here and what a pleasant experience. We dealt with Dan and Nathan and both were really polite, professional and there was no pressure selling at all.

The Q8 was very well presented when we came to view and we were left to view and test drive the vehicle at our own pace however they were always present to answer any questions.

Once we made the deal, Nathan advised even though the MOT wasn’t due for over 4 months they would give it a fresh 12 months MOT with no advisory’s and a full major service. Following the MOT the front discs and pads were replaced saving me some money and the vehicle was valeted and polished even though it was already immaculate when we came to view.

On day of collection we dealt with Dan which again was a very pleasant experience. And the car was prepped beyond my level of expectation and was very pleased.

Overall I would highly recommend this garage and I would use them again for my next purchase. All staff were great and all there cars are presented really well. They have got quite an amazing car collection, from your every day cars to retro classics and super cars, some of which belong in a car show. You could spend all day there just looking at cars!

Well Done to Sarah Cox cars!!

Dan NOT da man terrible salesman

Dan was the salesman, took ages to get back to me, started Transaction Wednesday, slow in valuing my car etc.

Last night finally confirmed value so I agreed to come today Saturday and agreed a time. Then 2hrs before I get there he says its sold.

Didn't ask for deposit/ reservation!!!
Terrible service/ salesman

My response, to your message.

I told Dan yesterday I was coming after he finally sent me a response.
Its all on my phone.

I sent both vehicles details Wednesday @2pm.
He responded to 1 vehicle but not the main px Thursday 5:26pm.
Thursday 6:47pm I asked again about my Range.
Chased again Friday 10:58am, finally got a answer / response 5:34pm.
I said I'd be in tomorrow (Today) obviously you would be closed at that point. Then you sold it 2hrs before I got there.....

Im happy to send you screenshots of my messages and calls to prove the delay was not on my end. Phones don't lie.....

Afternoon Migel / Nathanial not sure which as you have A different name here to your Google review. I am sorry to see your obviously upset you have lost on on a great value car however to leave one star reviews everywhere feels harsh - we valued your first van you wanted valuing and left that with you to think about then a couple of days later you wanted a value on another car you had. At no stage have you shown a desire to buy or leave a deposit. You then called this morning to book a viewing at 5.15pm today however as with any car where ever you buy from if no one has left a deposit it is for sale so we contacted you to let you know it had sold. You have had all week to leave a deposit if you wanted to reserve by phone or very clearly on the advert you had responded too however because you left it to late you want to leave us 1 star reviews. If you feel that’s the right thing to do then that’s your choice but we don’t agree with your logic.

To be avoided

The vehicle spent a large chunk of its warranty period back with them for repairs. Which after a further 6 months have failed at a cost to me of over £2500 for a new turbo and manifold. This is exactly what they were told was required in the warranty repair but was not done.

Fantastic honest service -And what an amazing place

I’ve used sarah cox cars a few times now and most recently they have sold a couple of my vehicles for me on a sale or return basis. Having known Daniel, the manager for 15 years + I know I’m in safe hands, for me it has worked brilliantly as i’ve achieved a much higher value than part exchanging and I’ve cut out having to go through the hassle of having to sell privately. All the staff are friendly, the showroom is amazing, it’s like an Aladdin’s cave - a must see for fellow car enthusiasts they have car’s from all era’s! Thanks everyone and 10/10 recommendation from me

Friendly honest car Dealer. Popped in on Wednesday Evening intending to purchase a car but sadly had been sold before I arrived.

Was given a really strong price for my P/X, more than I expected happily and picked a brilliant car.
Nothing was too much trouble and all staff were friendly knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely use again and recommend to others.

Outstanding customer service

Honestly, I’ve never dealt with such an amazing car dealership. Nothing has been a problem to them. My car had some issues and they did everything they possibly could to fix those problems, even gave me a courtesy car. The warranty they supply is fantastic! One you won’t get elsewhere. I did get a second car from them and it’s absolutely amazing! My dream car and it’s been absolutely perfect. Can’t thank Mark, Nathan and Dan enough for their patience, time and care throughout my experience with them. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars from me.
I’d recommend anyone wanting a car to take a look at Sarah Cox before you go anywhere else. You won’t be disappointed!

Great customer service top notch 👌.
Had a problem with my car after few months contacted them on the Saturday on the Monday they arranged to pick my car up and supplied me with car and had for just over 2 weeks .
Returned car and alls well again car cleaned for me too .
I will be buying another car from here when time to change.

Great Service…

Bought a car from Sarah Cox a month ago.
Fantastic experience from the off. Very welcoming and no time limit on the test drive. Decided to buy and they sorted all the little niggles exactly as promised. Very pleased.
Had one or two little issues recently, they all sorted, no problem.
All staff are very polite and helpful with any question.
We will definitely be visiting again when we are looking the another vehicle. Have given recommendations to friends as well.
