Brilliant customer service

Great customer service to resolve the issue I had with my gin making kit from Ben. Once he picked up my mail and understood my issue, an open sachet and missing scoop, I was sent a whole replacement kit the following day. My faith in the brand is restored by this gesture. Coming from a service industry, brand loyalty is hugely important to customer retention, you’ve won me today!

Disappointing - kit incomplete and instructions confusing.

I received a Kintsugi repair kit as a Christmas gift. I was confused about the glue tubes - there were two, attached, apparently both the same. I followed the instructions but of course with neither of them being the 'bonding glue' the pieces didn't stick! Reading another review I think there should have been four tubes of glue. The instructions mentioned 'the tube of glue' and then went on to say 'open the tube again'. Totally mystifying! I'm packaging them back together and awaiting a response from the company.
Following very prompt response to this, I cannot provide an invoice as it was a Christmas present from my son. I'll ask him to contact the seller, but in the meantime the date on the packaging is 07/2026. There is a bar code with the following code below: X002A14HHS. This has been stuck over an original bar code with the serial number 5 060698 710037. I could take a photograph but not sure how to send it to you! LATEST INFORMATION! The company has offered to replace the item in full, excellent service. They are looking into what went wrong, and working to put it right. FULL MARKS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Thank you for your review. Based on the contents you describe, this product was not supplied by us and does not match our current or recent Kintsugi repair kits.

The version you refer to, containing two identical glue tubes and different instructions, was discontinued over four years ago and is no longer manufactured, sold, or supported by Sandy Leaf Farm. All stock of that version was withdrawn and should not be in circulation.

We do not sell through eBay, and unfortunately kits of this type occasionally surface via unauthorised third-party sellers who acquire old or expired stock. In such cases, issues with missing components, expired materials, or confusing instructions are exactly the kinds of problems that can occur.

For clarity:
- Our current kits include the correct number and type of adhesives
- All components are in-date and quality checked
- Instructions have been revised and simplified for several years

We recommend that the purchaser contacts the seller they bought the item from for a refund, as the product was not purchased from us or through an authorised channel.

Cheese Making Kit

Received the Cheese making kit as a present, the recipe book is in complete so of no use at all, plus I item is missing.

Much improved

Since writing the review below I have been contacted by the new owners of the company who could but have been more apologetic or more helpful. They have promised to make amends (excuse the pun) when I am able to take delivery of a replacement. When that comes I will write a separate review.

Original post :
I was given a Kintsugi repair kit as a gift. I This isn't something you use as soon as you're given it - the whole point of it is to use it to repair broken ceramic ware with this beautiful gold repair kit. Upon opening it I discovered that two of the four glue tubes were completely empty; the other two only half full. It took a long while for the company to answer my enquiry and then, after a few emails back and forth, the dialogue has just stopped. The customer service staff (who seemed to change with each message) asked me to provide a receipt - not possible as it was a gift, I replied. They then asked if I could do the unthinkable, and ask the person who gifted my the kit, if I could ask them for their receipt... I explained that this would be about as rude as possible. They bought this gift in good faith. How could I possibly say to them months later 'by the way, it didn't work but could you please let me have your receipt so that I can get a replacement'. I explained that this is simply not done. They would feel terrible. I would feel embarrassed. They would feel obliged to buy me another one...all of which would be terribly awkward. After this lack of customer support (and oddly, a request for a photograph of the item and details of my address) the dialogue ceased. I have no faith in this company at all.

ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE

I emailed Sandy Leaf farm over 10 weeks ago and still no response despite chasing two more times!

All i wanted to know was did their ingredients contain Gluten? A simple question you would think but no response, as a Coeliac i have to be very careful so despite this i have no choice but to now bin the product!

If you are thinking about buying anything from this company think twice as it seems as soon as they have your money, they could not careless about you!

Awful company

Awful company. Ingredients missing and have tried to contact them multiple times via email, social media and phone. No response or call backs. Have had to throw away kit as it is useless. Stay well clear of this company, wish I had of seen reviews before ordering as would have gone somewhere else.

My daughter ordered a gin making kit as…

My daughter ordered a gin making kit as a little gift for me.
When it arrived it was 3 months out of date & appeared to have been already opened.
I have emailed more than once, no acknowledgment or reply, I have tried calling, you just get the answer phone, I left a message, no response from their either.
Not at all impressed 😒

Would give no stars if I could

Would give no stars if I could. I received my Kintsugi kit without the gold powder. Without this there is no point of using the kit. I’ve now written on their help page twice, emailed directly twice and sent a message on Messenger . I’ve telephoned both numbers. One has a recording saying it doesn’t take calls and the other one just rings out with no reply. For a company that purports to be a small company that “guarantees 100% success” this is very disappointing and frustrating. Hopefully someone from the company will read this and help me out.

Wonderful customer service and products

Bought multiple gin kits as gifts, they are always well received. When dealing with the company over a packaging issues they were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with! Great customer service!
