Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 43 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with recent software updates, finding them to be detrimental to their phone's functionality and user experience. People reported numerous issues, including rapid battery drain, apps not working correctly, and difficulties with basic phone operations like transferring photos or restarting the device. The updates were often described as making the phones nearly useless, with some even considering switching brands despite being long-time users. Reviewers also highlighted frustrating changes to the user interface, such as altered layouts, smaller icons, and awkward navigation for settings and notifications. Some people mentioned issues with specific features like the camera not working properly, problems with predictive text, and the forced integration of unwanted applications. The overall sentiment was that the updates complicated usage rather than improving it, leading to a less intuitive and more frustrating experience for many.

Absolutely hate this new update

Absolutely hate this new update. Nothing works the same and cant find any of the usefull features anymore. Could they not have just fixed any bugs and left it at that? I want my money back as I no longer have the phone I bought just some crap imitation of an i-phone. Not the galaxy I liked because of its easy to use features. Last time I buy anything from samsung. Btw their tv's are absolute junk as well.

Update was so unnecessary

Update was so unnecessary. If they wanted to add ai, they could've done so seamlessly. Its just that nobody even asked for the ai in the first place. And what was the reason for changing the layout and icons? My whole aesthetic got bombed. Why did the widget sizes get limited? Did they hurt you??? And who said they want the notifications and settings separated? The previous system worked just fine, looked just fine, and there was absolutely 0 reason for it to be changed.

Terrible update

Terrible update

Who said they wanted a phone that acts like an iPhone, that's why I got a Samsung. I'm right handed and have to stretch my thumb all the way to the left of the screen just to see notifications. Who did the research and thought this was a good idea. Who did they ask, I do t understand where samsung get there info from because I didn't get asked

Hate the new update

The new update has removed many helpful and longstanding features of the Samsung mobile OS. One example is the removal of the Groups feature in Samsung Contacts. It seems every time Samsung updates its OS, it takes away popular and useful features loved by Samsung users. I've been a Samsung Galaxy user from the time the prototype for the Galaxy was introduced. But this is the last straw. Goodbye, Samsung: I'll be switching to Apple for my next phone.

Absolutely hate this update

Absolutely hate this update! Used to love Samsung but if this is how its going to be going forward then i think its time for a change. Made everything so complicated to use, lost webpage tabs that i needed and apps are running very slow. And to top it all off, battery usage is ridiculous. As someone who relies on their phone for work, this is awful!!

I don't really like this new update

I don't really like this new update. It made a lot of unnecessary changes like the separate panels for the notifications and the control panels. It's very confusing. Also I don't understand why the search bar for the apps was moved to the bottom while it was just fine at the top.
I hope in the next update these thighs will be fixed or put as optional so that users can choose seeing as the majority of the reviews for this update are negative.

Split UI, ugly new icons

New icons are so ugly, the split UI is so annoying and unnecessary, sometimes i want to see notifications and toolbar pops out instead!! I want everything on one screen! I don't need a separated toolbar and notifications across the whole screen. Who thought this was a good idea?! Let me change it back to normal, please!

Recent update

With this most recent update I am not a fan of the new layout or features. The the split panel between the notification and control panel is very frustrating! The new feature of live notifications is one I would love to turn off (but of course can't). Having the search bar moved and not being able to keep my layout and pages the way I had them( due to changes with wallpaper, widgets and icons changes) is also annoying and tedious to try and rectify. Perhaps in future, just stick to fixing bugs and security issues and if people WANT the new features you've created, offer them but don’t impose them.

WORST UPDATE IN THE LAST 20 YEARS!!!

My relationship with ALL Samsung products is over - this horrible company has not only ruined my S23, but the tvs are also a problem with these lousy updates! The enormous 2gig update they just performed was and still is a nitemare - everyone of my friends is complaining! Luckily, I have a great long term relationship with Tmobile and the customer service tech just had the same experience with my same phone - he spent over an hour trying to revert my phone back. Most items were addressed. But this will be the last phone I own with Samsung!!! I AM DONE!! This company is going in the wrong direction! What you could do with 1 button, now takes 2 or 3 buttons to achieve the same results. I HATE IT!! Also, they had the nerve to disable my on/off and restart button. They should NOT be able to do this. And deleting texts have gone from 1 checkmark to now holding the button on the tezxt and then deleting - ridiculous!!! Samsung go to ----!!!

If i wanted a Google phone

If i wanted a Google phone, I would get a Google phone. The updates looks alot like my daughter Google phone. It's awful. Scroll left and right between setting and notifications. Got stuck in dark screen. Nope. I've got o2 switch up, so will probably be changing my phone very soon.

This update is rubbish

This update is rubbish. I have to swipe down from the left to get my app notifications?. Great I need both hands now to use the phone now.
Phone features do what they want now and don't obey manual command?

Sucks and Is frustrating.

Sucks and Is frustrating.

Have to dismiss all the app before you can open a new app.

It's a disaster when you making online purchases as typically the authorisation/OTP is on another platform.

Who ever designed this new update may they be infected with a thousand fleas.

Imagine how bad it must be for people to go out of their way to review an Operating System

Is there a way to reverse this update

Is there a way to reverse this update? Worst ever. Battery is draining bad, even if i don't touch my phone. Too much like iPhone now. Apps are different and functioning odd. Please fix this Samsung.

Leaving Samsung for good

I widh there were no stars so 1 star is the worst I can do. PLEASE consoder boycotting Samsung!! This update is borderline criminal. No more finger print ID or facial recognition? Neither work now. Eveything changed and I now spend at least anothe half hour a day trying to correct their problems. This message alone is an outstanding example with how bad their keyboard is. Because talk to text has never worked, typing is the onlu option and I spend hours revising all the mustKes due to their keyboard being so unusable.

We dont buy cars and allow the auto companies to listen in on us, change all of our settings so that seats and mirrors have to be reset, 20 or more times only not to work,
