Unreliable
After not receiving a promised next day call back for 24/7/24, I called again on 26/7/24 & got the same story. 5 weeks later & still no call back & no missed calls. I find this very cruel & insensitive to keep people waiting weeks on end for a call back that never happens.
I also recall that 5 years ago, after a major cancer diagnosis/operation, SAMH was reluctant to offer any help or support untill my financial situation improved, they seem to be more interested in money than supporting someone in desperate need.
Many years previous to this, i also recall asking about specific help and getting entirely different contradicting answers over a period of a year or so. Very sad & depressing indeed.
I think SAMH really needs to make an effort & improve the thoughtless way it deals with people & take responsibility for its reckless actions & realise the the extra harm they can cause to the very people they are supposed to be helping. In my own opinion this organisation is not fit for purpose.
