So disappointed

On 23 March 2020 I ordered three 'Double Delight' hybrid tea roses. I first grew this variety in the early Eighties, just after it was introduced into the UK, and for personal reasons, it has happy memories for me. I won't comment on the plants when they arrived, bare root, many weeks later than they should have be sold bare root (they were dipped in wax to slow new growth and conserve moisture in the stems. This didn't worry me unduly as I am a professional gardener and knew how to give them maximum TLC. The bushes budded reasonably well, but when the flowers opened, NO WAY were they 'Double Delight'. which is a stunning, cream/red bicolor with a wonderful, delicious fragrance. These roses are an unremarkable pink, of nondescript form, and completely devoid of any vestige of scent. I have written to Customer Services, without the courtesy of any form of acknowledgement and I am now minded to make a formal complaint to Lincolnshire Trading Standards as they, in this case at least, are selling goods not fit for purpose.

Shocking

Like everyone else, I found this service is rubbish. I did get my hanging basket after complaining, but no tomato plants - I kept checking and they were still advertising them for sale weeks after I expected delivery. Are you the actual SAGA? If so, you are ruining the brand. If not - I hope you are exposed as a shambles or a con.

Poor customer service, poor quality plants, late delivery

have to agree with the other reviews. Paid for hanging baskets at beginning of May - no communication from them as to delivery. Arrived (unnotified) mid June - way beyond normal hanging basket seasonal delivery. Poor quality and not good value for money. I will never buy from them again

terrible customer service from saga…

terrible customer service from saga garden centre. ordered plants in April which failed to arrive, Saga agreed to cancel order and refund at beginning of May but it would take up to 10 days to process refund. 10 days later still no refund - this time they said they couldn't refund as they had dispatched the plants despite the order being cancelled! Agreed refund (again) still no sign of it after a further 10 days. Staff tell you they have processed refunds and cancelled orders but it doesn't happen.

Ordered and paid for plants in April

Ordered and paid for plants in April. Now June and no sign of them. Cannot get a sensible answer from the company regarding delivery. Have asked for a refund but no response. I am starting to think that I may have lost my money.

Plants a complete rip off paid £16 for…

Plants a complete rip off paid £16 for a plastic trough with 2 plants in, ordered rain holding crystals which never came, the other plants I received were not worth the money, I complained and asked for a refund, the stupid reply was to claim a refund I would have to send the plants back, how ridiculous is that, however reading all the reviews looks as if the company couldn't care less, the customer service was non existent, terrible company will not deal with them again,

On going "Saga" .

On going "Saga" .

Further to my 2 reviews of Saga Garden Centre. Saga customer service, via Facebook did try to help. I rejected plants in favour of refund, which was duly agreed for 4 out of 5 items. The garden centre then responded on email to say
2 replacements had been sent, which I neither wanted or requested. But 5 days
later nothing has arrived, what a sorry state they will be in if they do make it here.

It's one shambles after another, what you do receive , for jumbo garden ready plants, no more than plugs and very poor quality one's at that.
I will be checking the bank too to check the refund. This "Saga" may not be over yet!

Plants received today, 7 days in transit so a bit dry, but otherwise healthy, these were a decent size for jumbo plants, unlike others previously received. Overall I have very mixed feelings over all of this as quality control, consistancy & communication has been lacking until I went public on facebook, almost as though there was a attitude of seeing what they could get away with, particularly with garden centres closed.

A bit of a swindle

i ordered 12 mega antirrhinums. They arrived in a sad state as they were not securely packed and had been thrown around. Possibly the transport was slow because they arrived in a sickly condition. I was given the choice of three sizes of plant and chose twelve mega antirrhinums. I expected large plants. What i got was spindly plants about three inches high. This happened two or three weeks ago and I planted them out in a tray. They are still spindly and barely able to stand up. I have just been to a garden centre and bought some sturdy plants a foot high. I feel that i have been swindled by Saga.

poor quality plants and service

Very poor quality of plants. There established plants were plugs and expensive plugs at that.
My order arrived crushed inside the box, dry and unsalvageable. And only half the order arrived.
I emailed customer service immediately upon delivery and they never came back to me.

Giving one star as it wont allow zero…

Giving one star as it wont allow zero stars. Firstly communication is awful, they are incapable of answering the phone and do not respond to email or messages. We ordered plants from four sections, which were to go into some large stone troughs and were ostensibly ready for dispatch. Despite them taking the money straight away, it was nearly four weeks before the first parcel arrived. 24 jumbo plants, in a shoebox. They were of poor quality, bone dry and tiny, nowhere near the size quoted. Acccording to the product page, the plants that were ready for dispatch will be up to another TWO MONTHS.In all honesty, those that we received were worth about a quarter of the money we paid, just. Further to this, these plants have been five days in transit so it is little wonder they are bone dry. All in all, very poor plants, very poor communication and very expensive for very lttle. I would not deal with these people again even if the plants were free.

DO NOT BUY, FAIL TO DELIVER AND NO RESPONSE

I placed an order on 2 March 2020 for a pre planted window box. Have emailed several times but no answer and no delivery. Have clearly lost my money. Do not purchase from this company.
PS after posting this, the company got in touch and eventually sent me the window box.

Sagagardencentre

Ordered 70 Impatiens summer waterfall ready plants for £16.99 and received delivery within 10 days. Well packaged healthy plug plants which I transplanted into seed trays. Excellent value for money with free delivery. Look forward to a great display in my baskets.

Placed an order for plants / seeds. Have had no confirmation of delivery time. Tried to phone many times with no success, Emailed on their reply form three times and still no answer?

If you can not operate through the virus either block the website for new orders or at least provide a delivery date!!

Appalling service, will not bother with this site again.

Words fail me

Words fail me ! after 15 years of loyalty SAGA sent us a Car Insurance renewal, increase of course. After trawling the net we got better cover at £120 less with Lloyds. When we rang SAGA they offered £50 off... still a long way off so we went ahead with Lloyds.
Then after setting this up and arranging payment etc we rang Saga to cancel their renewal only to be offered a further £40 reduction. WHEN WILL YOU PEOPLE STOP TREATING US LIKE MORONS and start respecting loyalty, all the calls, time and hassle created by your inadequacy to see the blinding obvious - would I recommend them - NO because they are just about taking your money all wrapped up in fancy meaningless strap lines.

Bad service

Bad service. Had been waiting so long for my summer pre planted hanging basket that I cancelled. I felt I would not benefit from the summer basket by the time it had arrived, or if it was going to arrive. Cancelled 10 days ago still waiting for my refund
