We have used the tracker several times already as our dog keeps running off across the heath. The app is easy to use and you can ping the tracker and it soon shows up where the dog is. On the heath there are no landmarks so I just switch to the satellite image which shows all the paths and tracks. This satellite image is very up to date where we are. The tracker is easy to use and set up. It charges in about 2 hours and lasts two and half days. I then get a text message with a low battery warning. The subscription is pretty good value too, so I do recommend the product.

Having lost our dog a couple of times recently, the tracker has paid for itself in just a few days and it gives great peace of mind, and saved a few grey hairs.

This is the second GPS tracker we have purchased from Safer Pet. The first one our cat lost in the undergrowth, but we are hoping to retrieve it one day due to its last known location app. We got this GPS tracker as our “baby” cat, roams all over the place, and we were so worried about not being able to call her in at night over the fields and farms near were we live. (Our cats is half a pedigree and half a ginger tom, so she must gets her manners from her fathers side!) However now we can see where she is roughly and at least call in the right direction! We were a bit worried about the size of the GPS, but it is very light and she is used to wearing a collar since she was a kitten and it does not bother her one bit. I have shown the gadget and app to friends who think it is a marvellous invention. The customer service we received was also really good, and as we have had to telephone them on two occasions, one to set it up, and the other to order another tracker, and each time they have been delightful. The monthly fee is not excessive and the device has given us peace of mind to know our cats whereabouts.

Bought for my puppy as he loves to explore when we are out. The app is easy to use and if he ever goes out of sight it’s great to be able to find where he is straight away. We also seem to have trained him to come back when we use the find device function. Great customer service and really easy to use!

Absolutely useless. Either doesn't connect to Internet or doesn't update location.
Phoned customer service to be told the signal probably isn't good in woodland!? I wouldn't need a tracker if I walked my dog on leash in the streets! No refund as over 2 weeks in our possession. Don't waste your money. Bought a dog tracker nano which is AMAZING, dearer but lifetime subscription and more to the point it works!!

I am very pleased with the product. My dog is a miniature Jack Russell so it was uncomfortable for him on his collar. He usually wears a harness anyway. So it is on the side of his harness, and it works fine.

It is usually quite accurate as to location. I would like it to give a more accurate step count and maybe speed. We think he can get upto about 25mph but obviously can't be certain. I appreciate these features would come at the cost of probably less battery life.

I am pleased with it as it certainly does what it says. As long as you have phone signal. Most places I go there is good phone coverage. I just keep him close if not.

Bought after 1 of our 2 young cats went missing. Frodo accepted this tracker on his collar no problem. We learnt early on that it is best to keep it charged up almost nightly so he doesn't go offline while on his daily patrols. He had a scare recently and returned home without his collar, but because of the tracker this was found and retrieved the following day fairly easily. A problem with charging the tracker was easily rectified by an email and follow up call from Caitlin. Tracker now reset and functioning well. After initially being sceptical about the size and weight and durability for a cat, I can honestly say that Frodo doesn't like to go out now without wearing it. I wish I had bought earlier before we lost his brother, but will definitely be purchasing another for our new younger kitten before she's allowed out.

Sadly have to give a star to write review. If your pet goes out while it's raining or just after it rains, then this device is no good for you.
I got this in September 2021. In Nov 2021 it stopped working. I got replacement. Low and behold by January 2022 this one has stopped. I spent ages on phone telling someone what was wrong, main point being I could not switch it on. Was then asked to switch it on, hmmm. They then asked loads of questions, and ended up saying to leave it on charge over night, and she would phone me back the next day. Well not convinced it was her that phoned me, if so she had a deep voice and was asking me to do the same things again.
They spoke to their boss and phoned me back saying " The last one showed signs of water damage, so if I wanted a new one I could pay £15 for a replacement, and if they found it was their fault they would replace it" Well I'm guessing they will find the same fault, as my dog always goes out regardless of weather. So this device is not for use in UK .
I ended up telling them to cancel my subscription. So I've spent £79 on something that is not fit for purpose, and they can not refund subscription.

Avoid like the plaque and buy one that is fit for UK

I was a bit disappointed that it did not work straight out of the box, but one call to their excellent customer service sorted the issue around device being offline… Since that it’s been great… I even know when the cat is in our garden and wants to come in after his wander!! This is a review from an Irish resident Cat!!

I found out tricky to set up initially but that is probably more down to my age than the tracker!
You do need to charge the tracker often to keep it working online.
I have a rescued Spanish Breton spaniel who loves to hunt and it was a few weeks before I could let him off lead. Now I am confident that I can follow him on the tracker when he disappears into the scrub which is much less stressful.

Milly is 6th in a line of terriers we've had over the years and she turns one year old in a few days. Like her predecessors she enjoys exploring and running around in our local country park and woods. With the Safer Pet tracking device we have the ability to keep an eye on her wanderings and the reassurance that we would be able to get a good idea of where she was were she to become lost or trapped.

We found it easy to set up and start working and it recharges speedily. The little stretchy case which both protects the tracker and attaches it to the collar is simple to use and doesn't seem to bother the wearer or impede her progress.

I feel the Safer Pet device & back up is excellent value for money. We use it every day for our long morning walks and not only does it give us peace of mind but it's also fun to use the 'Replay' facility to see just how far a wee terrier whizzes about while her humans have a more gentle stroll.

Great customer service.
We had a few problems getting our dogs tracker up and running but it was sorted by the end of the day thanks to the customer service team who were more than helpful, apologetic and very polite.

We used it today for the first time but so far so good! It's accurate, updates quickly, easy to use, it's given me peace of mind for a wandering hound and more than affordable.

Would recommend to other owners.

This is such a great product for monitoring your pets activity! We use our trackers on our malamute Banjo for monitoring walkies and black cat Klaus (we especially love seeing where Klaus goes when we're not looking!) The app is clean and easy to use, excellent customer service. Would 10 /10 recommend

A waste of money. It worked at fist poorly not tracking my dog. Then it stopped working after three days. The app is meant for a watch as it keeps saying watch not online!

Not worked properly since the day I received it.

Device is currently off line, has been for two days.

When it did work my dog apparently didn’t move for two days because the step recording function doesn’t work.

It showed my dog at a location over a mile away even though he was in the same room as me. Battery was fully charged, left it on overnight, but the app never shows above 62%

The app goes down meaning you cant log in. So on the occasion it did work if I lost my dog I wouldn’t have been able to find him

All in all an utter waste of time. Put your money back in your pocket and look for another solution

A real crap product

STEER CLEAR!!! Completely useless in my area due to edge of village location and coverage. Company have refused refund and cancellation of monthly subscription. Tracker has not left the house but shows at multiple locations on app over 2 miles from where it is still in its box! NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE - Trading Standards assisting

Disappointing but not surprising telephone conversation with this company after several letters following advice from Trading Standards and Citizens Advice. Spoken to in a quite frankly shocking way as a customer. The tracker appears to be finally connected accurately although I have yet to test it. Sadly, even if it worked perfectly well now, based on the incredibly poor customer experience when there was an issue, I would not endorse this company and would still advise anyone to steer well clear if this is how they speak to paying customers when there is an issue to resolve. Thankfully I can pass that conversation back to Trading Standards to add to the growing file on them.

Excellent customer service after the first tracker didn’t arrive. A replacement arrived the next day.

Easy to set up and to use. We are still getting the cat used to it but no worries so far and may purchase another for our second cat.

The technical support from Safer Pet has been excellent, however the product is very disappointing. The locations given for our cat are frequently very vague, or implausible. Often the location fails to update, and the “tracking”facility doesn’t report any movement details.
Not really a product I can recommend.
