I used the windshield replacement…

I used the windshield replacement service on a cold windy day.

The technician in camera allowed the high winds to force the driver door too far open snapping the support and slide arm from the bolts and inside the door to connecting mechanism.

He worked with the door open using the inner frame as a step and allowing the door to be subjected to his pressure upon it opening force was applied by leaning on it while stepping on frame while working on windshield.

Furthermore, the Plastic vent frame around the rear view mirror was removed by the technician but not placed properly back resulting in loose hanging plastic and devaluing the vehicle further.

Do not use

Do not use ! They replaced my windshield and it leaked. Causing water damage... They replaced the windshield after two times bringing it up there to them. They will not repair any water damages it caused. They wont return my calls .......

Overbooked my appointment twice

Overbooked my appointment twice! After waiting all morning for the technician who called to say his arrival time was between 10:30- 12 noon, I cancelled at 12:30 pm. Second appointment time between 8-12 noon was booked for 1 pm. Technician said you have to " pay extra" for them to show up on time. I was never offered that choice online.

Not a good experience

I received a quote for around $226 for windshield replacement. The first time they were to come out for installation I received a call stating that the windshield replacement had a scratch and asked if we still wanted it; answered "no." Next I was told by one person, over the phone, that there was no other windshield available. When I contacted them a second time, I was told by another that was not true and that they did have another available. I rescheduled for replacement. On that date I received a call when the installer was on the way and the cost had nearly tripled. I reminded him of the original quote price and he said he'd call his manager and get back to me. I then received a call stating that the cost was $326 (or somewhere near that) and again reminded him that the quote was $226. Again he made a call to amanager and called me back stating that they would honor the original quote. Upon getting to my home, he stated he couldn't replace because the window frame "might be" damaged. It was apparent that it was not and that, in my opinion, they weren't interested in installing for the original quote. We then contacted Ready Auto Glass who came out and replaced the windshield at a fair price and with no concern about a damaged frame.

If I could give lower than 1 star I…

If I could give lower than 1 star I would….terrible experience with an Expedition windshield replacement. First - the wiper blades I purchased from Safelite:
First time I used them the driver’s side blade fell off. Was not properly installed.

Second - windshield liner (gasket) came off after 2 months. Was never installed properly (per dealership).

Third - rearview mirror was not installed properly and shook until it fell off (Safelite corrected this on-site and blamed a new installer).

Called Safelite on the other two instances to fix but they said I would have to drive it to them - eventhough they came to my home to install.

Buyer Beware! I will never use them again.

Safelite Excess recalibration Cost

I recently had a disappointing experience with Safelite regarding their windshield replacement and recalibration service. Initially, I considered their service for convenience, but the cost quickly became a significant issue.

Safelite required me to recalibrate the windshield through them, which was $400 more than what my local Acura dealership charged for the same service. This felt like an unnecessary and unfair expense, especially since more affordable options were available.

Moreover, the lack of transparency about the mandatory recalibration and its excessive costs was frustrating. I was not informed about the mandatory requirement until I was already at the location for service. This lack of communication left me feeling blindsided and dissatisfied.

While Safelite might be convenient, their exorbitant recalibration fee and poor communication make it difficult to recommend their services. If you need a windshield replacement with recalibration, I suggest exploring more affordable and transparent options.

Customer service

Hello, just wanted to let you know u will be posting the following review to every platform I can find.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They forgot to order my windshield and didn’t realize until the day of my appointment. My vehicle is supposed to ship international, and now has to be pushed back at my expense and I still have to pay them my deductible. I’ve called customer service several times, and was hung up on three times before someone tried to help me. By this time everything was closed, and he requested for a supervisor to call me and of course no one called. He actually tried to get a supervisor to take the call while I was on the line and no one wanted to. This company treats their customers like numbers and don’t really care about helping them out. I would definitely look for another company if you can.

4 Strikes and your Out!

(Number one) False Advertising on rate. They advertise one rate and right before you pay, they add more charges.
(Number 2) My technician(s) never showed up to my appointment window and never contacted me to tell me any updates on coming to fix my windshield. It wasted my entire day wasted to wait on someone who never showed up or communicated. Scheduled a morning appt thru site, (Number 3) then it changed to all day appt time once completed payment. I chatted with representative right before end time, (Number 4)they said the shop moved the date. They moved my date a week away. I will not be at that location and they wont travel to my home to repair. 01881-78054

Customer Service non-existent.

Safelite did a sub-standard job on repairing my windshield. I called the local manager to have them come and fix it. He informed me he wasn't empowered to do that. I went up the ladder all the way to the top.
I found apathy at every single turn. The highest "C" level was supposedly out of the office and was supposed to call me back. Nothing! This company's customer service is non-existent.

Safelite Auto Glass Company located in Tucson, AZ Auto Glass Tech Mr Jason Positive Feedback !

Good morning to everyone that work for the Safelite Auto Glass Company Customer Center. I do hope that all of yous are doing ok smile. Also I do hope that all of yous will have a very very very wonderful day at work ok smile. In ending I want to tell all of yous that one of your Staff members that's a Safelite Auto Glass Tech name Mr Jason did a very very wonderful job when he went to my friends house to replace her very very very nice 2020 Ford Ecosport Car Windshield that was damaged and had to be Replaced etc.Last of all Mr Jason did a very Good job and both of us say Mr Jason JOB WELL DONE ok smile. Finally both of us say that Mr Jason was so very Professional Helpful and Caring and also he's a very very Positive Role Model for all young and old Employees that work for the very wonderful Safelite Auto Glass Company and he's a very very Positive Representative for the company stated above and he has very very very very Excellent Communication Skills and he knows and loves his job so very very much too ok smile. Now in ending the above very wonderful company address is located at 1402 S Kolb Road, Tucson, AZ, Phone Number is (520 ) 300-9090 ) and yes yes they will always do a very very Good job for yous when you do Business with them ok smile.
