Unacceptable experience
I had a terrible experience replacing the front windshield on my BMW M5. I waited 4–5 hours for them to calibrate the front camera attached to the windshield, and they couldn’t complete it. They asked me to come back the following week, where I waited another 3–4 hours, again with no success. Now they want me to reschedule for a third time. It’s clear they don’t know what they’re doing. If you own a high-end vehicle, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. They charged me 1200$ for aftermarket piece of trash. This was a complete waste of time and money.

Horrible service!!!!
They came to fix a Nick and caused a crack. When i call back customer service was incredibly rude, was told it could happen and they are not responsible. Also that I could get a replacement and pay my deductible. Worst service and people you can possibly deal with.

I wasn't mad at the fact Broderick(who was supposed to be white and showed up black) told me he could not fix my windshield. However they got my money; no service was done and I did not get my money back instantly as promised. I didn't even get an apology. They don't even deserve 1 star

Safelite Customer Service
Safelite fixes Windshields, we all know. What I didn’t know was how very customer focused they really are. Drove in for my Windshield replacement at the Lake in the Hills location. Took about 1 hour with the Windshield looking great. However, the Technicians could not get my ADAS (Collision Avoidance & Lane Departure) to work, even after numerous Recalibration attempts and calling in the experts. The manager Chris over there at LITH Safelite said that sometimes it takes a number of miles or so for the General Motors vehicles to reset themselves. I was suspicious of that and wanted my ADAS to fully work before leaving. Chris, to accommodate me and at expense to him, arranged for my vehicle to be Recalibrated at the local Chevrolet Dealership – there they took 2 hours and still could not get it to work – not happy. This is where Safelite escalated my case to additional customer care with Christine over at Safelite “Client Care”. Christine said she would be coordinating all my concerns to my satisfaction and final resolution – Christine did that along with Chris locally. They had worked to plan replacing my ADAS Camera and another Recalibration after installation at Safelite’s expense – great news for me. Called Chris to make the appointment to bring in the vehicle. Then, just a couple days before my appointment, the ADAS DID reset itself and began to work – as Chris originally said it would. I was very happy with the way Safelite accommodated me and went out of their way to resolve my customer concerns. Anyone looking to repair-replace their windshield should very much consider Safelite as the solution – especially if you are within driving distance of Chris at the Lake in the Hills location. Vince.

Warranty is a JOKE!!
In July of 2025 I made an appointment and dropped off my car at the Safelite store in Mt Kisco, NY. After picking up the car, I noticed that the gel pad that is fitted between the new windshield and the sensor area behind the rearview mirror looked different. About half of it appeared opaque. The very next day the air conditioning was not working. Assuming it was not related I went to the dealer as the car was in warranty.
The dealer told me that whoever changed the windshield installed the gel pad incorrectly and in fact damaged wires leading to the sensors which caused a short and blown fuse. Turns out that fuse also controls the HVAC control on the dash, causing no AC.
After calling Safelite and being on hold forever I was told that the warranty people at Safelite would contact the Mt Kisco, NY store and I would receive a call. Never heard a thing. I took the car to my dealer in Danbury, CT and Safelite suggested that the Danbury Safelite store handle the repair. I insisted on an OEM gel pad as the dealer strongly suggested. This combined effort between the dealer (For diagnostic work that Safelite couldn’t do) and Safelite cost me $564 and I was told to put the bill into Safelite warranty, which I did.
A few days later multiple warning lights came on. A trip back to the dealer showed that the corrective work done by Safelite in fact did more damage to the wires behind the rearview mirror. After many calls and emails Safelite was doing nothing, a lot of lip service and always promises to call back which never materialized. We needed the car and after two months wasted I took it to the dealer for repair which cost me another $1091 for wire repairs and calibration.
So here I am in March of 2026, a dozen calls and many emails later, still no response even after calling their national headquarters and being PROMISED that they would contact me, still nothing.
I strongly suggest to everyone that you DO NOT USE Safelite. Their work is poor and the warranty is a joke.
You would be much better served by using a local independent windshield installer. Oddly enough, Safelite is still the clearing house for your insurance claim with independents. They have their hooks in everything.
THEIR SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AND THEIR WARRANTY IS A JOKE!!!!!!!
SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND GO SOMEWHERE, ANYWHERE, ELSE!!!!
AFTER LEAVING POOR REVIEWS ON SEVERAL SITES, I WAS DIRECTED TO THE CONTACT SCREEN ON SAFELITE.COM, WHICH IS WHERE I STARTED 9 MONTHS AGO!

Steer Clear of SafeLite Auto Robbery!!!!!!!!!
I ordered a windshield and paid to have it installed. Safelite never showed up but called 3 days after the appointment date claiming they were having a hard time locating a windshield for my vehicle and would call me to reschedule when one was located. after 2 weeks i logged in to check on the status and they had rescheduled AND raised the price $70 AFTER i had already paid, all without contacting me to discuss the matter. i immediately called and had the service canceled and demanded a refund. i was assured it would come through in a timely manner but.........4 months later i finally received my refund. i advise extreme caution when having dealings with this company. they are extremely shady and untrustworthy. i got receipts and logs to back all claims in case they try to pay trustpilot into taking down this review like most companies do. **Additionally** The response claiming final price is given prior is a flat out lie. I had paid 400 dollars when the initial appointment was made and then was hit with another 70 dollar charge that I had to find out for myself when I checked on the status of the reschedule. There was NO COMMUNICATION.

They suck
They suck, Scheduled appt. through Insurance company and then checked to see if it was OEM glass, due to lasers, No it wasn't, rescheduled with OEM glass. 1 1/2 hours after appt. was scheduled they called and only had after market glass, this was supposed to be ordered a week and a half ago. Called Ins Company and am re-scheduling with another company with OEM glass. Wasted two days of work , so far. Safelite is useless, they will push you to use Non-OEM glass so they can make more money. Bait and switch. 3/19/25, Go with Glass America, the local office was fantastic, installer was great a real pro, my molding clips were not good and they went above and beyond and replaced them, a week later.

I was forced to use Safelite by State Farm
I was forced to use Safelite by State Farm, who claimed they would not cover the cost otherwise. After this experience, I see why Safelite relies on insurance mandates rather than quality service to get customers.
Failed First Appointment: My first window was Thursday, 8 AM–1 PM. I took off work, but no one showed. They called at noon to reschedule and were dishonest about the reason for the delay.
Broken Promises: I specifically explained I could not take more time off work. They assured me a 4 PM Monday slot was fine.
The Monday Fiasco: On Monday, they called at 1 PM demanding I be home immediately or they would "have to reschedule" yet again. When I spoke to the technician, he admitted I was his last job and he was currently sitting idle with no other appointments.
Unprofessional Management: The "shop manager" refused to give her name and was incredibly rude and interduces herself as the "Lady who runs the shop". She made it clear that her priority was not the customer’s schedule, but ensuring her technician didn't get paid to wait for the actual appointment time she had already confirmed.
This shop is run with a complete lack of integrity. If your insurance gives you a choice, go anywhere else. If they don't, be prepared for them to waste your time and treat you with zero respect.
The Shop Address: 2726 Metro Plaza, Woodbridge, VA 22192

BAD BUSINESS
We scheduled our vehicle 2025 Toyota RAV4 for windshield replacement at 351 Creighton Road, Pensacola FL.
The first failure was on 14 Feb 2026; we were told that the package came with missing parts. So we rescheduled coz we were assured that they will contact the manufacturer to ensure that all parts will be in the package.
On 17 Feb 2026, we got called and was told that the parts are in, and they can see us on 18 Feb at 4 pm; however, my declined because it was towards the end of the day. We scheduled for 28 Feb at 9 am.
Came 28 Feb 2025, second failure with the same issue - missing parts, molds, etc.. Two wrongs do not make a right. The manager was off this day. The head technician also told us that the parts came in yesterday, (27 Feb), which confused us, referring to the phone call on 17 Feb 2026.
Customers set aside time to make the appointment, but obviously this business does not care about the safety of their customers - creating a bad reputation in the community. This experience was very frustrating and disappointing. Your reputation is as good as your business. We’ve been very patient with the wait time.
To incoming customers, take your business somewhere else. This Safelite location in Pensacola is UNSAFE and does not deserve your business. With all due respect, this is BAD MANAGEMENT, A SCREWED UP BUSINESS.
Save your apology for the next customer.

I called for a quote
I called for a quote, she asked my insurance company advised I was self paying. She gave me a quote of $400 plus removal fees & taxes. I told her I'd pass, that a local company Windshields and More was charging $325 everything included. The representative says well let me see what the cash price would be, I told her I thought that's what she gave me, NO she gave me GEICO cash price. The self pay cash price was $320 plus removal and taxes. I stopped the call then and told her that was BS that self paying cash through geico was more than just self paying cash, by $80. They are a rip off, you get pricing based off who your insurance is, cash is cash, but not with Safelite.

NEVER AGAIN!!!
I've used safelite for 20+ years to fix chips in windshields on various cars I've own also 3 windshield replacements and have always been very pleased with their work.
But things have changed. .. this last time about two weeks ago. The technician arrived at my home, I did all the prep requests like making sure to pull car from the garage and make sure it's out.The technician arrived at my home, and as soon as she got out of the van (Safelite) my gut was second guessing the repair by this technician, Not because the tech was female...I'm female and all for girl power!
With that said, I absolutely REGRET allowing this tech to come anywhere my car. Not only did she not fix the chip but went outside the chip and caused a crack in my windshield and she had nerve to say "oh my goodness" pointing at the crack and tapping on it with her finger as she tries to explain what she did to cause damage to my windshield. I moved closer to see what she was attempting to show me and again she began lighting tapping on my windshield to show me the approx. 4 inch hairline crack that actually spread another 3-4 inches as we stand there watching this damage of my windshield get more worse! I asked what os going on and what the heck did you do to my car! She answers with saying, she won't charge me for not repairing the chip and that she's not sure if it won't continue to spread! I stated "I wasn't paying you anyway because insurance was paying you". I contacted safelite to explain the issue, the only thing they said was that glass is unpredictable and that whatever she did can rarely happen and proceeded to tell me that will place it as "failed repair" I automatically think they would replace my damage windshield FREE!
Headsup my fellow drivers...Safelite says even if their tech damages your windshield...they are not liable and will NOT pay to replace what they broke but "failed repair" means if you did pay to have a chip fixed and they damage your windshield, they will put what you paid towards a brand new windshield and do not offer ANY form of compensation. I even went as far as offering to pay half of my deductible even though I had nothing to do with the damage their tech did to my car! Amazingly they shot that idea down too!
I have always trusted Safelite above anyone and have even referred people to them but I will not longer do business with this company EVER!! PLEASE save yourself the headache and stay far away from safelite! HORRIBLE AND QUESTIONABLE BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!
Now I have to spend hundreds of dollars to replace what they destroyed, how in the world does this make sense. Personally my believe is no matter what, money will go in their pockets...fix a chip get paid or damage your property and they are still in the clear and with more money they get assuming the customer will move forward and use them for the replacement....another pay day for them!

If I could give ZERO stars to Safelite, I would.
This has been a THREE-WEEK nightmare just to replace the back glass on my car.
Appointment #1: The technician showed up with the WRONG glass and then told me I needed to purchase an additional $300 part. Annoying, but fine — I bought the part immediately.
After that? Silence. No follow-up. No scheduling. I had to call multiple times just to get another appointment because no one could be bothered to contact me.
Appointment #2 (today): I stayed up with NO SLEEP — I work nights — waiting during my service window. Ten minutes before the appointment window closed, they called to say they have NO IDEA where my glass is.
How does a company whose entire business is auto glass not know where the glass is?
Customer service has been just as bad. Long hold times, zero urgency, and representatives who act like they couldn’t care less about the inconvenience they’ve caused. No answers. No accountability. No solutions.
At this point I’m left wondering: • Where is my glass?
• Why has this taken three weeks?
• When will this be fixed — if ever?
This experience has been disorganized, unprofessional, and incredibly frustrating. I rearranged my schedule, lost sleep, and spent extra money for absolutely nothing.
Save yourself the stress. Go anywhere else.

I would do 0 stars if I could
I would do 0 stars if I could. Terrible experience and no accountability. They broke the shade behind the window they replaced and the tech just disappeared after the job not even being able to get the door fully reconnected. Has taken months of fighting to try to get them to fix it.
Worst experience ever
Worst experience ever. It took over 6 weeks and 4 trips to get my car back in the condition it was in before Safelite touch my car. They broke my rear view mirror and advised me I would have to replace it myself. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I can’t believe they are the preferred vendor for State Farm.

Terrible service
Terrible service! When they gave us back the car the interior trim/pillars were offset and not matching how we had it from the factory. Upper ceiling trim was scuffed up. We took our vehicle there to get our windshield replaced and they replaced it(took them two tries) but broke the front cowl windshield bottom covering on our Highlander. They advised they will order it from Toyota and replace it, they called me to say they were going to Toyota to call in for the replacement part but never called back after that. On top of that they didn’t install the driver side windshield weathering cover properly so when driving out in the highway it flew off. I sent a couple of emails to customer.care@safelite. but didn’t get any response from there. Pretty irritated with this level of service from this company and location. Would have given a no star review but yelp didn’t allow me to.

Joseph was the technician that replaced the glass and was polite and informative. He was upfront with any potential issues, like rust or brittle fender to cowl mucket not surviving the replacement. But, in the end he was able to avoid any problems. The windshield looks great! Would recommend to anyone getting a windshield replaced.

Had appointment today between 12:00-5:00. I got off from work to be there and they never came or called out texted me that they were not coming. I would beware out then and no shows. I lost money today and can't get an answer from anyone about why they didn't come

I had a frustrating start with…
I had a frustrating start with Safelite, but I want to share the full experience.
I originally scheduled a chip repair appointment, but the technician never showed up. I wasn’t notified, and the system incorrectly marked the job as completed. Because the repair wasn’t done in time, the chip spread into a larger crack that required a full windshield replacement. That part was extremely disappointing and stressful.
However, after contacting customer care and escalating the issue, Safelite stepped up and made it right. They acknowledged the mistake, worked with me on pricing, and ultimately reduced the cost significantly. The local manager was professional and helpful, and the installation itself was done properly. They made sure the replacement and recalibration were completed correctly.
While the initial no-show created a bigger problem, I do appreciate that they took responsibility and worked to fix it. The final outcome was handled well, and I left satisfied with how it was resolved.
