In general everything was great. The problem I have with Ryobi is trying to find model and serail numbers. NOt sure why they can't do like most companies call the numbers what they are.

A total crapshoot with their products

I agreed to Ryobi taking down my 1 star review. Original 80V 54" riding mower sent in disgraceful condition from Home Depot. I tried to return it, but everyone made it so hard that I ended up keeping it. But the mower was also hiding many internal problems: sloppy/jerky controls, bad runtime, wouldn’t charge. MONTHS back & forth w/Ryobi - super nice customer service folks (at least the ones I dealt with) but chaos and long hold times/delays. Multiple new parts & all-day service visits - all to no avail. And they just left me with a broken mower each time (and I still had 4 acres of grass to deal with!) Got traction with them only after being nasty, which I hated. They ultimately sent a new mower from the factory. VERY GOOD MOWER so far (range still well short of the 4 acres they claim!). But ask yourself: WHICH PRODUCT WILL THEY SEND YOU? And how long will you have to fight to get them to send a good one?

I ordered the Ryobi 40V 15 in

I ordered the Ryobi 40V 15 in. cordless battery string trimmer. Model # RY40ST01K. I have used it twice. First time it lasted @ 1/2 hr. 2nd time 45 ' with lots of breaks as I was tired holding it. It doesn't hold up in power to strong weeds. I'm returning it for the Model #RY40250 which is supposed to last 71 min. We'll see if it does.

Run away - Horrible client service

Run from this company, tools are ok, but your warranty is almost worthless: no service point around and when you find one, it requires 90 days to get back to you with a diagnostic. Where I leave, our summer only lasts 90 days so by the time they get back to me, I won't need my product for the rest of the year. Only Solution from the client service: try another point of service .. 3 h from home, may be you'd be lucky with 4 weeks instead of 90 days.

Cracked Upper boom assembly

Replaced Craftsman Trimmer that we had for many years with a Ryobi attachment capable straight shaft. The unit work well for a while but the upper boom assembly cracked at the bottom and came loose. Never had problems like this with other brands. We bought this Ryobi because of quality and even bought a Ryobi blower. When I called Ryobi they did not care. The representative at Home Depot said that he had never seen this happen. I told him that I could show him the unit since I had it in my truck. No care either. Very low customer service. Willreplace with other brand.

I am in the Fence Staining business

I am in the Fence Staining business
That is all we do here in Canada.
We offer high end service
Powersanding all wood before staining
Therefore we use 5" Ryobi disc sanders ALL DAY LONG.
All day...non stop
And I'm very happy with the performance & reliability.
And at cad$36
An incredible deal !!!!!
I have Dewalt & Makita sanders in my possession that greatly dissapointed me.
Dewalt is 3x the cost of ryobi
Makita is 4x the cost
Both the above brands had issues after 6 months
My ryobis do also
But not as fast
And I can replace a Ryobi for only cad $36 !!!!
Ryobi comes with a 1 yr warranty
But I don't take advantage of that as I am a Pro Contractor ...and at $36 at end of season ...and the fact we put a good 1000 hrs of hard sanding on each machine ...I always feel I received amazing value for my tiny $36 purchase price.
I'm thrilled with the reliability..comfort and light weight of the ryobi 5" orbitol disc sander.
And considering replacement backing disks are also available at Home Depot.very cheap..it's a great option.
Backing disks will wear out
They are the "hooks" of "hook & loop"
If you're sanding disks are falling off
You likely need a new "backing disk"
For Dewalt cad $50
And you need to order it
For Ryobi $10
And you simply walk into home depot and purchase.
Another positive point re the ryobi 5" orbital disc sander...and why I don't take advantage of the 1 yr guarantee.
Is from an ethical / fair perspective.
Each Ryobi sander costs me cad$36.
Each sander sands all day 40hrs/ wk
In 6 months that's 960 hrs of non stop
All day long sanding
No overheat issues EVER
If my sander costs cad$36
That's only $6/ month for 6 months
Only $1.50 per week
For a very reliable great sander

And we make our sanders work very hard. All day

Ryobi is a great product !!!!
And I am a working biz owner for 51 yrs. I've purchased every sander.
I pay attention to results

I am very happy with Ryobi
That's why I chose to leave this very positive review

Ryobi RY80942 Pressure Washer is FANTASTIC!

This RY80942 Pressure Washer has all the features a homeowner could possibly want (at least me, and I'm very picky). THREE YEAR warranty, 3300 PSI, easy to start, easy to maintain, on board soap container, fuel shutoff valve, FIFTY FEET of high pressure hose, folding handle for easy storage, idle down technology to extend engine and pump life, five in one sprayer head (no changing nozzles), HONDA GVC190 engine, large wheels for easy maneuvering, and more.

I do perform all recommended maintenance. I estimate that I have about 50 hours on it. I'm on my third year using it and it works like new.

Well Done Ryobi !

Wish their warranty service was better

In 2020 I bought an electric push mower. Lightweight so that was nice but the battery never really ever lasted long enough to do my entire 1/4 acre yard. I put up with it because the mower plus battery was a reasonable price. Shortly after buying I began to notice my handle getting loose so I began taking the time before and after each mow to tighten the screws holding it in place. Because it's plastic, the screws barely hold in place anymore. I called customer service to inquire about warranty service and the closest warranty location to my NOT RURAL Kansas location is 140 miles away, one way. The customer service representative I spoke to seemed not to care, let alone sympathize. After seeing other people's experiences with warranty repairs, I'm wishing I had paid a little more and gotten something not plastic, with better customer service reviews.

Purchsed Scouring Brush for RY18PCB-0…

Purchsed Scouring Brush for RY18PCB-0 to clean concrete crazy golf. This product is totally useless and destroyed the Ryobi patio cleaner. Ryobi have refused to acknowledge scouring brush is the cause of the issue and have refused to warranty the destroyed product.
DO NOT USE this product!

No Customer Service, No Repair Centers

My Ryobi 40V self-propelled mower worked fine the first season. Now, although the propulsion system works, the cutter will not turn on. Nearest repair centers are 70 to 100 miles away. Home Depot disavows any responsibility. I've been on hold with Ryobi customer service for two hours now and they still haven't transferred me to an agent. Don't buy Ryobi. Find a manufacturer that has local repair shops.

Battery buy 1 get 1

After purchase, I waited several months before charging the Ryobi batteries. I was worried that they may not charge. These batteries charged to full amount in short time!!! I love the lights on the battery showing charge progress. Very happy with this purchase from Home Depot.

45 minutes on hold

45 minutes on hold on their parts repair phone number (877-634-5704). Definitely not going to buy any more Ryobi products if their company acts like a deadbeat father.

Eventually someone returned the call, but Ryobi management needs to hire more customer service hands if they are going to maintain their customer base.

Five month warranty, battery replacement nightmare

I placed a repair request for a bad battery that was under warranty on November 8, 2023. I waited nearly 3 months for them to respond to the request and in January they sent me an email saying the battery was replaced and would be shipped. by April 17, 2024 I had still never received the battery nor a tracking number. After about six hours worth of waiting on phone calls and multiple emails I finally spoke to a Kevin in customer service in South Carolina. He was able to finally submit the order for the battery and have it sent to my address and I asked Wright to , compensate me for the inconvenience by sending an additional 40 V battery charger. They denied. I asked them if they would compensate me for any of the inconvenience and they said they would not. I asked them if they took accountability for the mistakes and problems they make on their end and they said they would not. I asked to speak to Kevin‘s supervisor manager and he said there was no one there that would speak to me. I asked them why they are making difficult for customers to have a good customer service experience and why Ryobi was not taking accountability for customer inconvenience with clearly the problems that occurred or Ryobi‘s fault. He said he could not answer to that question, and that was my opinion. This is a matter of fact review based on my experience. Hopefully you will make a decision after reading this about what to expect buying and using Ryobi tools in the future.

Customer Service is awful

Customer Service is awful. Waited an hour on the phone- same recording over and over. Finally gave up and had them call me back. Two hours later I was told to go to the register products page on web to put in my faulty charger information however I keep getting a 404 error message when I try to register. It’s hard to believe they are this popular with such defective chargers (see all the online reviews from so many) coupled with incredibly terrible customer support.

Cordless leaf blower from Home Depot

Last fall I purchased a cordless leave blower. One never knows what you are buying until you get it home. I bought it Home Depot. It worked out of the package and still works. I wish I would have bought the most powerful one. They have three or four different power ratings. One lives and learn. Go for the best, like cutting wood, cut it longer than shorter, you can always recut it, but if you cut short (or buy it short) you can't add to it!!
