Pembrokeshire - Exceeded Expectation
What I wonderful weekend I have just had in Pembrokeshire running the costal paths and local trails with fantastic people and fantastic views. It was a perfect short escape from the craziness of modern life which allowed me, and all who attended a chance to switch off, relax and have an adventure with like minded people who love trail running.
If you are thinking of signing up to a Run Weekends weekend, do not hesitate, that is what I will say. Your expectations will be exceeded. I had both high hopes and some small concerns for this weekend. Before travelling down I wondered if had placed too much expectation on the weekend from the information RW provides via the website and social media and that wouldn’t be met. It was everything I hoped for and more. Great people, great runs, great location, great facilities an opportunity to relax and enjoy yourself.
I am also not the fastest runner or lightest and I did worry that I would hold everyone up, be the anchor they had to drag along, or burn out on the long Saturday run. The RW information says that everyone runs together and it is a leisurely pace so we could soak in the area, but I was still not quite sure. But my worries were completely unnecessary and furthest from the truth. Everyone attended RW Pembrokeshire for a holiday and adventure, it wasn’t a race and it wasn’t training. We all ran together as a group and it was never above a pace that we couldn’t all chat if we wanted too. The terrain was varied and the outlooks amazing. I also smashed through my furthest run yet on the Saturday by completing the 28km route and I have come away with greater confidence in myself.
Nick, Bob and Laura were great hosts and run leaders who made us all feel very welcome and at ease as soon as we arrived. They were extremely professional and loads of fun and it was clear that their priority was to ensure we all had fun and got the most from the weekend and to expose us to an region of Wales they are all very passionate about.
The accommodation was clean, comfy, warm, well provisioned with great facilities and amenities. There was 8 of us staying in the cottage and it was large and spacious so we did not feel on top of each other.
Three of my fellow runners were returning Run Weekends attendees and confirmed that quality and fun of this weekend was not a one off occurrence.
I hope my fellow runners got what they wanted out of the weekend, as I certainly did and I am excited and in the process of signing up for another one (or maybe two) already.
If you are thinking about a Run Weekends weekend.
Do It.
Exceptional, once again
Had another incredible weekend with the Run Weekends crew! The team were super attentive from start to finish - always checking in and creating a really friendly and supportive atmosphere.
Always a pleasure to share miles with other like-minded runners, especially on such stunning trails. What stood out most was how inclusive the pacing was - striking the right balance for everyone.
I came away more confident on technical terrain and across all the weather conditions the Welsh coast threw at us. Challenging, but always controlled.
A genuinely special experience, from the legs to the soul!
Run Wknd Wales.
Great weekend of running, catered for all abilities and accommodated everyone’s wishes. The coastal path was stunning. Always fun to make new friends and new memories.
The group leaders were very helpful
The group leaders were very helpful, supportive and looked after us well. We had an amazing location with fabulous trails and a beautiful cottage. The hospitality was great and the group had a very friendly atmosphere. Run pace was extremely easy to reflect terrain.
Sri Lanka - unique experience of Pekoe trail
Our 1st trip with Runweekends way exceeded our expectations. 100% fulfilled what we were looking for, ie a super-active week with a like-minded group, fully organised, experiencing the ‘real’ Sri Lankan beauty and people. I’m
Very impressed all round with Runweekends team. And this trip was a significant challenge for them as it coincided with the Iran situation and flight cancellations. Nick was fantastic keeping all of us informed, and options open to us. So so pleased we decided to go ahead with the trip, albeit with a smaller group. Despite the challenges, Runweekends put in an amazing team to lead the trip in the form of Michael and Laura, supported by local driver, Chamil.
The team expertly managed the run pace / length - and accommodated all abilities / ages. They took care of everything - all we needed to think about was running and enjoying the stunning countryside, accommodation and food.
Michael’s expert and extensive knowledge of Sri Lanka played a big part in the success of the trip. Huge thanks to Laura and Michael for an unforgettable experience.
I had an amazing weekend running in…
I had an amazing weekend running in Newquay. The team at Run Weekends are excellent and really took care of us. We ran a marathon from Padstow to Newquay and they ensured we were hydrated, fed, kept safe and ensured the group stayed together. They also provided amazing food in the evenings, a surprise evening sauna by the beach and a spa day to finish off. Definitely money well spent and I can't wait to book another trip. A great way to meet new people as well, I went alone and was made to feel so welcome and everyone was so friendly.
RunWeekends - Cornwall EPIC
I had a fantastic time on the Run Weekends Cornwall trip and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. From start to finish, the organisation and communication were first rate, which made the whole weekend feel easy, relaxed and well looked after.
The weather and scenery were absolutely stunning — running along the Cornish coast in those conditions was a real highlight. The routes were beautiful without feeling overwhelming, and there was something genuinely therapeutic about being out in that landscape, running and chatting without any pressure.
One of the standout aspects was the camaraderie. There was such a supportive, positive atmosphere, with great conversations and connections between people from a wide range of running backgrounds. The mix of running, relaxed chat and shared experiences felt genuinely restorative — as good for the head as it was for the legs.
The supportive, encouraging crew really added to the weekend, and the sauna and spa experience was an amazing bonus — the perfect way to relax and recover after the runs. Combined with the incredible food (both in taste and quality), it felt like a proper reset.
Overall, it was excellent value for money and the ideal blend of running, relaxation and social time. I came away feeling refreshed, uplifted and already thinking about booking another one.
Rain, coastal trails, and the exact reset I needed
At the beginning of the year, I returned from a trip to Cornwall. As a first-time visitor, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect, but it turned out to be the exact reset I didn’t realise I was looking for. Despite being a completely spontaneous booking, it ended up being the perfect, much-needed break from the norm.
The entire experience was incredibly well-organised, but what truly stood out was how the team handled the challenges. On one of the days, the weather took a turn for the worse, and it was clear that our safety and wellness were the absolute priority. They really stuck by the principle of no one being left behind and running as one; that sense of collective care made me feel completely at ease despite the conditions.
The real highlight for me was the people. I made brand-new friends and had a wonderful catch-up with a group I’d only met the month before. It’s amazing how quickly you can bond when you share a passion for moving your body and enjoying nature in a completely new place—it already feels like I’ve known them for ages.
From start to finish, the team looked after us so well that I could just show up and enjoy the experience. If you’re looking for a trip that perfectly balances professional organisation with a genuinely supportive community atmosphere, I couldn’t recommend this more.
Cornwall – Fistral Beach. Perfect weekend could not have been improved upon in anyway.
In short, the weekend was everything you’d hope for: running, laughing, socialising, and eating. Like so many others who’ve experienced a Run Weekend, I’ll definitely be back — and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Firstly, Nick and the team were exceptional. Friendly, funny, knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely caring, they created an atmosphere that made every moment enjoyable. The events were brilliantly organised and incredible value for money. We packed in so many memorable experiences, and the food… honestly, just wow. The team’s passion — not only for running but for crafting unforgettable weekends — was evident in everything they did.
Secondly, the location was a stunning place to run a marathon. The photos shared by the team capture its beauty perfectly and will be a reminder of these unbelievable memories for years to come.
Thirdly, and finally, the group itself made the weekend even more special. A brilliant bunch of like‑minded people who felt like friends almost instantly
Cornwall Rocks!
Superb long weekend expertly organised and executed by the very friendly RW team - they couldn't do enough for us all. Running routes were amazing, food was fantastic, company was excellent, facilities were outstanding and I even met a fellow geologist!!
Already scanning through the RW website for our next trip.
Exceeded Every Expectation
The Cornwall trip was amazing. It was my first Run Weekends experience, and compared to other providers I’ve traveled with, this team really stands out!
They really go above and beyond to create an outstanding experience, and they exceeded every expectation I had.
The runs were great - no one gets left behind, and I felt supported and encouraged regardless of my pace or experience.
I met so many like-minded people, enjoyed beautiful scenery, and spent evenings having great conversations, playing games, and solving riddles ;).
I already can’t wait to book my next Run Weekend.
Amazing Experience
Amazing experience. The togetherness and friendships were made so quickly, with plenty of time spent during dinner, in the evenings and running/hiking. The RW were amazing - we were made to feel welcome from the start, and were made to all feel comfortable with the mantra that we are together with the running and there is nobody left behind. They were attentive, caring and great fun to be around. It was the perfect weekend of leisure and pleasure. If you’re looking for a weekend to meet new people, discover some beautiful views and landscapes, with everything taken care of, I cannot recommend this enough.
Cornwall in January was absolutely perfect!
Brilliant routes, first-class accommodation, and the friendliest, most welcoming team you could ask for. The running itself was amazing — beautiful, scenic routes that made every mile a memory banker. We giggled so much all weekend; it truly was the perfect escape. We loved it last year and came back for more, and it was every bit as fantastic. A fab crew, great energy, and nonstop fun. We’ll definitely be rebooking!
New Forest weekender
Recently came back from the New Forest.
Was amazing retreat weekender. Nick and the team was amazing. Would recommend to anyone who want a weekend away before Christmas.
Hopefully book it again next week
Very organised and well thought out
Very organised and well thought out. Every runner was considered before going out on each run.
The long runs were split out in manageable sections with fuel stops.
This was my first Run Weekend, it definitely won’t be my last.
The Run Weekends team were very encouraging and positive people.
The Kosovo trip was amazing
Some experiences are fun in the moment, while others you only appreciate afterwards — Run Weekends is both. The Kosovo trip was amazing. Nick and the team make you feel like part of their running family for the weekend. Would recommend to anyone looking to meet like-minded people on some scenic trails. Already looking forward to the next one.
Another Unforgettable Run Weekend in Kosovo & Albania
I’ve just returned from another incredible adventure with Run Weekends, this time exploring Kosovo and Albania. From the moment you meet the team, everything is seamlessly planned so you can just relax and enjoy yourself. These trips are such a uniqued way to discover new countries—combining running, exploring, food, and connecting with great people.
Huge thanks to Nick, Michael, Bob, and Veton for making this experience so unforgettable. The team went out of their way to make sure everyone was happy, and they really do take care of every detail. Plus, they make sure the trip works for all running abilities.
If you’re thinking of booking one of their trips—do it! You won’t regret it. I honestly can’t recommend Run Weekends enough… now the hardest part is deciding which one to book next!
Kosovo
Highly recommend the Kosovo trip! It was my first time with RunWeekends, and I will definitely be booking again. A massive thanks to Nick, Veton, Michael, Bob, and Gentian!
A trip for all abilities
I went on the Kosovo Run Weekend and thoroughly enjoyed. If you are a slow runner (like me), don’t be put off signing up. It’s really not about pace and the team will support you all the way. Thank you RW for a fabulous adventure.
Outstanding professionalism
I had an unforgettable experience on the running weekend in the French Alps. What was an incredibly tough challenge was made enjoyable, safe, and inspiring thanks to the amazing team of coaches.
Their professionalism was outstanding from start to finish. They made sure we felt safe and supported at all times, no matter our level. Their encouragement, expert guidance, and great energy kept us going even on the toughest climbs. On top of that, they were just so much fun to be around, turning hard runs into genuinely enjoyable adventures.
The group of people taking part were also amazing, so friendly, positive, and supportive. It really felt like a team effort, and this made the whole experience even more special. If you're looking for a mix of stunning trails, expert coaching, and a great atmosphere, I couldn't recommend this more. Huge thanks to the whole team for an incredible trip.
