Terrible service

Where do I start here, bought a clutch kit and brakes for my VW golf in October 24, paddle clutch kit that when fitted we discovered the slave cylinder was blocked and stopped the car bleeding up. When first told them of the issue they were very defensive and only after lots of arguments and stress they sent me a replacement, which was standard not updated as I originally purchased. I also ordered black discs and received standard silver, after being told I’d need to return them and them accept them before sending me the black ones, I just accepted them as the car was already stripped and waiting.

Now 8 months later and the clutch has failed, causing a hole in my gearbox housing. Again lots of back and forth with them showing little interest in helping until I suggest I would take the matter further, offered a replacement of just the singular part that failed. I asked to start a claim for my losses, again lots of threats and terrible emails and calls, finally agreed that I would get the part and a discount on the other parts I asked for a time frame for the parts on multiple times over 3 days to never be told when I would receive them.

I have since sourced the parts elsewhere and raised a dispute with my credit card company, as my last email went ignored.

Have since discovered that they have 2 companies with almost identical names. Mark and Steve seem to swap between them who the directors are, again when challenged becoming threatening over the phone.

I genuinely regret ever letting Steve’s great sales patter at the start of all of this cloud my judgment.

Thanks for you erroneous review. You have failed to mention the real reason of your complain which was your SACHS DMF had a manufacturing fault with a dowel pin becoming loose. We don't manufacture DMF's? This was explained that the DMF is a SACHS product and we asked you to return the clutch and flywheel which you have done.

Sachs advised hat your report would take between 2-4 weeks. You were not happy with that time scale so we both agreed that RTS would initially send out another DMF as a gesture of good will and you were happy to pay for a new racing paddle clutch. Once we got the report back from SACHS then if the damage was caused either by installation error or driver mis-use then you would happily make payment for the DMF. This is in an email from yourself.

Regards to us having various companies under the RTS Group, Yes we do. We have different companies representing our export business, Racing Team, Performance shop and engineering companies.
We will report this review to Trust Pilot.

Hello.

We explained that this was OE Only and it was on back order with the manufacturer. You were not prepared to wait and raised a charge back with paypal. We cancelled the order as per your email. Paypal held onto your funds while they investigated your complaint. This is nothing to do with RTS. We advised closing the claim which would of allowed us to return your funds but as it was kept open Paypal held all funds until a future date. You have since now had your money returned to you by Paypal.

We don't manufacture that particular Flywheel and this was explained to you at the start of the order process.

There was no mention on web site about…

There was no mention on web site about waiting time on discs so I payed for them two day later I hadn’t had any emails about item so I rang and they said it will take 4 weeks I told them I needed them so I could mot my car they said that was fine 5 weeks later I rang and asked where they are and they said I’ll have them in a week so a week later I rang again he then gave me a tracking number so I thought everything was fine but when I went on fedex to track the item said a tracking label had been made but they were waiting for Rts to give them the item this went on for over a week so I rang again ( Steve Rodger’s told me fedex has lost them so they would make another set and send them out by the end off the week witch was 2 weeks ago so I have rang them every for the last 2weeks and was told give me 30min and he would send a new tracking number This is what I was told every time I phoned
So last night I opened a case to try and get my money back
So this morning I called them and said give me a tracking number right now and I was told we can’t talk about it as I’ve opened a case so I said you told me they have been sent and that you would send tracking number so would mean they have sent he then said can’t talk about it so I replied if you have sent them then you would be able to give me a tracking number
I said prove you sent them and I would stop the case He said it’s out off his hands and would have to talk to his colleagues and put the phone down on me
WHAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY
JUST DONT BUY ANY THING OF THEM
I HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER 8 WEEKS NOW

Ordered a maxton rear diffuser for my…

Ordered a maxton rear diffuser for my fiesta. Emailed the next day to say it was out of stock and a refund will be processed. Waited 7 days and had nothing, I then emailed them and explained the issue to be told it was over looked and they apologised and processed the refund. Few weeks later, still nothing. I then had to email them again and they told me they can’t speak to me as the order was in a family members name, fair enough, but why tell me twice it’s being processed? So family member sent them an email and they then told them it’ll be processed, waited again and nothing. 6 weeks this took in total for them to refund. Absolute joke of a company and will never use again. Rudest man I spoke to ‘mark’ needs to understand customer service and stop being so defensive about his failing company that he fails to realise after hundreds of bad reviews.

Don't waste your time!

If you need a clutch, go elsewhere. Took a month to finally get the part and they only posted it out after asking for a refund. No updates for why it would be longer than 7 to 14 days, I had to make a call after 14 days to find out when it was be dispatched, got told "Tomorrow, and you will get an email from the delivery company" that didn't happen. Emailed asking for a refund as this clutch was never looking like it was turning up, only to the get the dispatched emails with tracking and the was told I would have to use the returns as I no longer needed the clutch. Nobody orders a clutch for fun, they order one because they need it.
I had read the reviews before ordering but thought they might have upped their game, obviously not.
Anyway, if you do go for one of these products the pressure plate comes covered in grease and looks the same as a drivemaster clutch. Can't comment on anything else as it won't be used now.

Thank you for your erroneous review. Yes it took an extra 5 working days to get your clutch sent out but that was because we were waiting on your registration to confirm fitment. To say your pressure plate turned up covered in grease is a lie as all our items are checked and wrapped in grease proof packaging before shipment. You even raised a PayPal dispute saying you never received your item even after we proved via a tracking number that you personally signed for it. We still have not received and money for your order as you have not closed the PayPal case. I have forwarded this onto our legal team.

Ok let me help you out with the confusion of your reviews. There is an engine company that is rts auto parts .com and think your bad reviews are coming from there. I was just looking for there reviews to see if I can find some and it brings me here. You are not the same company.

Recently bought a clutch for my Starlet…

Recently bought a clutch for my Starlet GT Turbo, had a problem with the website not completing the sale, so I got in touch direct and RTS rang me to resolve the problem, invoice sent direct to my email address and this allowed me to pay for the clutch. Clutch was delivered a couple of weeks later. Clutch was well packaged and clutch, pressure plate and release bearing are of good quality.
Would buy from again.

Avoid this absolute shambles of a Company

Avoid this absolute shambles of a company

After two promises of dispatch, chasing numerous times, having to open a PayPal case... nearly a month later the clutch arrived!! (If your vehicle is off the road, I hope you've got a bus pass.)
As a case had been opened the tracking number was entered into the PayPal case by RTS and not emailed to me directly, this of course closed the case, two out of three the pay pal pay in 3 payments down just about forgotten the experience, and weeks later my phones going at work,
2 missed calls , a text , what's this its RTS Legal team ?! we're going to take you to court for 629.99 plus court fees if I don't close the PayPal case by
5pm !! WTF!? I call the number to be rudely greeted with a "yeah" realize straight away its just the guy who runs the clown show playing better call Saul and say exactly what I think.

Once home confirm its closed already as suspected via message, pure incompetence, harassing me for no reason.
If the service hadn't been so useless in the first place there would've been no need to even open a case in the first place, I'm hoping the quality is better than everyone's reporting on here but don't hold much hope, and with a list of warranty prerequisites only rivalled in length by the lord of the rings trilogy directors cut, good luck with getting anything replaced. Your not told when ordering its not actually in stock.., they make or possibly order from China, only when you dig into the t's and C's it says 7-14 days.

Hi. This never happened at all. You tried to use Paypal to defraud us out of your purchase which Paypal have confirmed. You waited 14 days from purchase for your clutch which we advised after you eventually emailed over your registration number. Once you received your item you then opened a case with your payment provider and refused to acknowledge that the item had been delivered even though we registered the tracking number. It was only that we instructed our legal team to make contact with you that you realised you had been caught. We also have the recording of your foul mouthed rant at one of our members off staff when you finally contacted us after receiving a legal letter. We have raised this with Trust Pilot and have still yet to receive your funds via Paypal. And as most of our UK distributors will confirm all bills of materials are sourced from around Europe and built in the UK. 7-14 days as they are hand built clutches.

This company scammed us about 900GBP

This company scammed us about 900GBP, we sent them many emails and they didnt reply. We transfered them amount 12/2024. In January they lied about shipping. We're handing it over to the lawyer.

They are just liers and scammers, dont buy anything from them !!!

Edit: here you can see how these scammers works, he made an invoice, provide fake tracking number, just created the label, not sent physically and lie and lie about sending, after that they stopped communicate. Obviously scamm !!!! Their answered us, that we couldnt pay the customs fee, just for their info, we cant pay any customs fee or VAT, we are taxable person. Its only their excuse. Our lawyer will explain it to them. They have never sent the parcel. We have full tracking without any moves of the parcel and the confirmation from Fedex about canceling the shipment.

This dude who replied on our review know very well, who we are.

Their bussiness is just about scamming people, see their reviews here or on just Trustpilot. They are many scammed customers !!!

Invoice, the communication with them is listed on their Google reviews.

EDIT2: how many times, we can write you, that you didnt send that and canceled the shipment, we have confirmed that from Fedex and they dont have any next parcels. You cant play theater here. Or provide here the valid trakcing number, we guess that you will send nothing. This is the reason, why you didnt reply more than month. Your company scamm people.

Here is the tracking number, what they sent us, you can obviously see, that they only created the label and send nothing and they will tell us that the package is being held at customs. LIERS !!!

This is a complete lie. The items have been sent out via Fed Ex and sat at customs awaiting clearance the the customer to pay the country duty and VAT etc. They failed to pay the duties and VAT in the country so the items are still there waiting to be cleared. This is another customer not understanding importing a brand. This is an issue with the customer not us

Whatever you need on brake discs etc, this company is "a must" to try..

I've never come across such a helpful company.

These guys will even create for you, your own design for your brake discs, as they did for me, AT AN UNBELIEVABLY small charge..

Lack of communication

No email to say that my clutch kit had been dispatched. Arrived after a week however slave cylinder was missing. Contacted RTS to try get the part sent out but have not received a response. Very poor communication.

Not fitted the clutch kit yet so I can’t comment on the product.

Ready to Start is a terrible company. Do not waste your time purchasing any used engine from this company. They sold me a used engine with 60k miles on it, and within 2 months I started having multitude of issues (bad turbo, oil pressure sensor, oil pump, MAF, oil separator, etc..) Essentially, they never honored the warranty, and I have no choice but to pursue a litigation against the company. Don't waste your time or money. Very deceptive people!

I had seen a lot of negative reviews on…

I had seen a lot of negative reviews on RTS, I was a little afraid to place my first order but I took advice from one of their customers who was satisfied and I did well! Customer relations at the top RTS and very responsive and attentive, however the sending of the package took a little longer than expected but we are talking about 3 days late which is not a big deal especially for an international shipment. The clutch feels a little harder than the original but still remains comfortable for reinforcement. I can't wait to finish the break-in to enjoy it. I recommend RTS.
