Vandalism

I rarely leave negative reviews, especially for local small businesses, but this experience warrants one.

Our HVAC system was serviced by R&R Heating & Air, Belton, SC, for a routine maintenance check-up, and shortly afterwards we discovered damage that was not present before the visit. It was found that the technician either urinated or poured urine down our condensation drain of the air handler located in our attic.

What is especially concerning is that the employee involved denied responsibility when questioned by law enforcement. Regardless of those denials, the timing, circumstances, and condition of the unit found by a third-party HVAC contractor, who stated it was 100% urine, confirms clear damage/vandalism to our system.

We made a good-faith effort to address this matter directly with the owner before sharing and he only stated, "we do not do this" and that he would look into the matter. No further communications has been received from the owner/company even after a follow-up request.

Based on our experience, we no longer have confidence in this company and will not be using its services in the future. I encourage all prospective customers/customers to document the condition of their equipment before and after any service appointment and to carefully consider how important company accountability is when choosing a contractor -- especially with this company.
