I have been scammed for about 4K

I have been scammed for about 4K, along with about 50 to 60 other victims. They did NOT provide the engine rebuild service they promised; just put my vehicle in a self storage unit in Southend for a few months and took my money. They planned it to target poor people desperate to find a way back from engine failure. I hope Karma catches up with them.

Absoloutly disgusting! Please read!

Absoloutly disgusting business. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Had my partners motorhome for an 'engine refit, sent pictures, everything seemed legit but turns out the van has been held (with 70 other cars in the same situation) at a storage facility in south end (elm road). The police are investigating the situation but i urge anyone who has fallen victim to these awful people to see if your vehicle is at that storage unit and contact the police. This is a very sophisticated crime and I cant even imagine how much money they have taken from people in the last few months! Impersonating a legitimate business, stealing money and doing nothing with the vehicles. They need to be found and punished!

Absolutely disgusting wastes of space

Absolutely disgusting wastes of space! SCAMMERS

They have had my partner’s Q7 for well over 2 months now, communication seemed legit at first and even sent photos of the engine being stripped and at the ‘garage’ – Chris, was answering all the correct questions etc… seemed legit.

Even before my partner sent any money, his banking app wouldn’t allow the payment to be sent due to fraudulent activity, so he rang the bank and they did all the checks and said the account seemed legit so they allowed the payment to be made – after my partner spoke to ‘Chris (if that’s even his name) at RPS – he didn’t seem nervous about potentially us finding out he was a scammer and was quite helpul!!

Back and fourth communication was done via whatsapp and email and one phone call (we decided to use email so we had a paper trail as we was already getting suspicious)

Chris told my partner the car was nearly ready so we could arrange for it to be delivered back to us, my partner spoke to Chris and suggested we travel down to collect the car, he seemed fine with this and then once we asked for the address and a collection date – Chris seemed to go quiet and the messages wasn’t delivering to him, so I presumed he had blocked his number, my partner also had another contact called ‘Sara’ who apparently works there too (also a horrible person!!!) and no calls were going through.

He then got an email from RPS saying that they are under a cyber attack and not to worry that the vehicle hasn’t been stolen and that we can collect it from a storage unit on Elm road???

We found a contact number from that storage unit and the man who owns the storage unit has said his phone has not stopped since Monday, apparently the cars who RPS collected (and the storage guy says there is quite a few) got dropped to him months ago and haven’t been collected or had any work on them so he’s trying to arrange for everyone to get their cars!

The whole process has been a lie and they cannot get away with it, my partner is currently down almost £4500 and I’m sure theres a lot of other people in a similar situation, it’s honestly disgusting and something needs to be done about it!

We will be contacting the police fraud team, the bank and anyone that can help and I advise anyone else in this situation to do the same.

The world has gone mad, there’s enough bad things going on for people nowadays, and nasty, disgusting scammers like this actually make me lose faith in humanity!!

My Audi Q7 has gone to RPS

My Audi Q7 went to RPS for a rebuild early September, taken £3600 upfront to finish the build and was told last week that its nearly finished and should be ready for collection this Saturday 31st. Received an email on Monday saying they’d had a cyber attack and my car’s at a storage unit on Elm road?? Have now lost all contact with this lad called Chris, i have no money and no car! Seriously!!?… now onto the next steps to try and recover my money and find my car. Would recommend NOT to use RPS services ltd

I've been caught too.

I have had a simular experience thousands out of pocket for a van engine rebuild, and now like others they have gone silent, contact numbers etc not working, and my van nowhere to be seen!

Today I spent all day on the phone, I would suggest you, report your vehicle as stolen to Essex Police (101), report the scam to "report fraud" (number online), both will give you a crime number. Report your vehicle stolen with your insurance firm, and contact your bank, as it was a scam there may be a chance of reclaiming some lost funds.

I have had a great response from all agencies, it's a bit of leg work but worth it.
