Basic hotel with lots of issues and rude management.
This is a basic, old, seaside hotel on the sea front. Price wise, if there hadn't been any issues, I would say you get what you pay for. However, there were issues, I made a pay on arrival booking for 5 rooms, they took two of the payments from my account several days before my stay then lied saying EXPEDIA had taken them. They had not. They were quite rude in their replies giving all sorts of excuses and blaming Expedia. The biggest issue was that there was no hot water in any of the rooms, no one could shower or wash properly, on a very hot, sweaty day. This is totally unacceptable, However, rather than apologise they just made excuses and offered me a tiny amount, £15, as comnpensation for one room. They lied and said the other four rooms were booked by other people, but they were not, I made the booking, I had one reference number for it. They then said that they had, after 'careful consideration' decided not to offer me any compensaton and the matter was 'closed'. The whole tone of all their emails were very rude. On top of that, the curtains in one of the rooms were hanging off the wall, the bathroom sink was cracked and the plugholes were full of someone else's hair. It was also impossible to sleep as, all night, guests were running around the hotel, shouting and banging doors. There are no staff on site, they have to be contacted by phone, so there is no one on site to sort the noisy guests out. I suggest you avoid this place.
One positive, the staff on reception, when they were there, were very friendly.
