Tauranga Rockshop

Great selection of instruments and equipment. The staff know their stuff. They worked hard to get one of the amps from another store so that I could try it.

Hi John, thanks for your review. Our internal freight system runs through Auckland, delays along the way can make this a longer process. If in future you would like to receive something faster, you can pay for a courier service which is over night. If you ever find a seller with the same item selling for a cheaper price, we welcome you to challenge our price through our price challenge channel. We appreciate your feedback and are glad the result is a guitar that you are happy with. We hope to hear from you again soon.

Rotorua store highly recommended

The rockshop store here in Rotorua are very sharp at what they do. I've always had a pleasant experience when dealing with Jonelle Williams and Oscar Rolston-Dowd. These two go above and beyond when it comes to service and knowledge of products and do so within the Rotorua music scene as well. Highly recommend the store and the stuff

Very friendly and helpful staff.

I ordered a guitar online and when it was ready for pick up I received a call from a staff member at the store, which was much better than an email I might have missed. When I picked my guitar up the staff were very friendly and helpful and when I asked about buying replacement strings the woman serving me checked the computers and also the stock out the back, and another staff member chipped in with helpful information. Although the strings I wanted were not in stock at the store she told me how I could go about ordering them to my local store for pick up. The Takapuna store was a very nice place to make my purchases in.

Great service and advice

I wanted to get an old acoustic guitar repaired at RockShop NZ Whangarei and they explained to me the process and the costs involved. Definitely will do all my instrument repairs through them again!

Hi Eric, thanks for your review! If you wish to make a one stop shop, you can order online, or arrange for the items to be sent to one store for collection. Please contact your local store to make that happen.

I found the staff to be helpful

I found the staff to be helpful. After many visits and many enquiries, where people looked up items and prices for me, and answered questions about a range of products, I was able to decide on my purchase with more certainty. Thank you. The only problem I have with this shop is the same as with any shop in NZ; they all seem unable, maybe because of economies of scale and shipping costs, to offer gear at more realistic prices from the point of view of the end buyer. Gear that is on the cheap end overseas ends up being priced at a more medium to high end cost to the consumer here. This means you pay a high price for gear that is built to be sold overseas with a lower quality level of componentry. This might be a problem that the retailers are unable to get around, but things could be improved if after sales servicing and parts replacement were handled better.

There was a really good employee there

There was a really good employee there. I forgot his name but he had big curly brown hair and glasses. He was really patient and helped me throughout the time I was there, trying to find the best cymbals.
