We were given sebastian about 5ft rocking horse and he was in a terrible state and unloved but now he is back to his lovely self he looks fantastic and we love him so much thank you both xxx

A warm welcome was received at this dog friendly cafe recently. As well as offering delicious food, the owner, Andrew has so much expertise in understanding dogs and canine behaviour. His 3 Border Collies were impeccably behaved and trained ….unlike our dog! We would very much recommend the Rocking Horse cafe with or without a dog! Well worth a visit.

We wanted to get a rocking toy for our son's first birthday and thought we had found the perfect gift, however we were let down. We then came across these beautiful traditional rocking horses and thought they were perfect. We contacted the company as we were short on time after being let down by what we had originally ordered and they were amazing. Lin and the team really went the extra mile to get the horse ready for us just as we wanted it and on time. Communication was great with regular updates and well when the horse arrived we were blown away. The pictures do not do this justice. It really is a beautiful first rocking horse, the detail and workmanship are exquisite. Our son adores this and loves to play on it everyday. This will be a well loved heirloom piece in our family we are sure. I can highly recommended the service and quality it really is so good hence I felt compelled to write this post.

We have an old large Collinson Rocking Horse purchased in the 1960s which my siblings and I enjoyed for years followed by my two children. It had been rather neglected over the years. Now that grandchildren have arrived I wanted our lovely rocking horse "Prince" to be lovingly restored but not to look too new. The lady at the Rocking Horse Shop was wonderful and we discussed exactly how Prince should look - new saddle, stirrups, new hair but the paint work and frame left as it is. I found the service efficient and very friendly and I was guided through each part of the process. I am thrilled with the result - Prince looks super but still feels like my old rocking horse. Thank you.

I’m lucky enough to own a large Lines rocking horse. I bought him 30 years ago. I lent him to a friend for 20 years once my children had outgrown him. I have now got him back for my grandchildren. He was in a sorry state through being very much loved. The paintwork and gesso were badly damaged, down to the wood in places, and he no longer had much tack or a mane. The rocking horse shop have been amazing. They talked me through the restoration process and told me exactly what I would need. They supplied everything quickly and efficiently. They were always at the end of the phone when I needed them. I’m thrilled with the restoration and can’t praise the RHS highly enough. Thank you

Excellent service, we have a 41yr old rocking horse and the stirrup straps had broken rang the shop on the 17th February and the lady was very helpful the straps arrived today(19th February) they are just what was needed. Thank you .

My experience with the rocking horse shop has been excellent from start to finish.I formed a very positive impression from a phone conversation which led to me sending an email request .The reply came quickly and I felt confident in placing an order.The order was filled and delivered to me within an acceptable space of time.I was very happy to receive a parcel wrapped in eco friendly paper that I could recycle ,this impressed me greatly.Thank you all at the rocking horse shop for a great experience, my rocking horse now looks so smart in the new livery.

Items were sent very fast and communication was excellent, My father started this rocking horse but never got around to completing it and so it's sat in my shed for 20 years.I have now done the horse and these bits for the cradle were all I needed to finish it. In time for Christmas.Many thanks

Rude staff!!! Placed an order and it was lost by fedex was told numerous lies and when I demanded my money back after waiting 12days for delivery, she tried to tell me I had to wait till fedex refunded them😂 safe to say once I mentioned trading standards she refunded my money!!! You were too busy discussing your private life about going on holiday while serving us, that you haven’t taken our email address down properly it’s Brannon not brammon!!! Also not had any missed calls so you can’t possibly of been trying to call!!! Another lie!!!
This has been on going since Wednesday 8th July we paid for over night delivery and was told it would be with us by the next day we waited till Friday to ring then on numerous occasions were told you would ring back but never did and it was US that did all the chasing up. We even came in to the shop on Thursday 16th to be told they had an email from fedex and they would be with us that day again nothing turned up so someone is lying and certainly is me!!!!

I recently completed one of the 'Carve a Head' courses at the Rocking Horse Shop just outside York. I could not recommend this experience enough, from start to finish it was brilliant!

I was initially greeted by friendly smiling faces and a cup of coffee, the next 3 days flew over and I am delighted with my final head. Having no past experience in woodwork let alone something this complicated, i have since bought the rest of the horse - and thoroughly enjoying the experience. The order system and communication I had with the team has been second to none and their customer service is really a cut above the rest - they could not do enough for me throughout my course and after.

Throughout the Rocking Horse Shop have been an invaluable support to me in completing the project. I couldn't recommend enough.
