IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL Kept on charging…

IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL Kept on charging my account after I canceled... their terms of use says to " If you believe that you have been billed incorrectly, you must contact he**@roboflow.com no later than sixty (60) days after the closing date on the billing statement" but when I try to reach out at he**@roboflow.com I am hit with "you must be a paying customer to get direct assistance". LIKE WHAT?? I GET MY CARD CHARGED AND HAVE NO WAYS OF CONTACTING TO STOP IT.

Misleading Pricing, Paywalled Features, and Poor Support – Deeply Disappointing

I was originally contacted by the company via LinkedIn twice! encouraging me to try Roboflow and introduce it at companies I worked with back in 2021.

What we ended up with was a classic bait-and-switch.

Roboflow shifted from a fixed-price Plan to a surprise credit-based system mid-subscription, without any prior notice or consent. Suddenly, every action began consuming invisible credits, and we started receiving overage charges with no clear explanation or way to manage usage. If you question it, you're simply told to “buy more credits.”

Even worse, access to your account and data can be restricted if you use a virtual card, for example, to protect yourself from surprise charges (like when I enabled 5x augmentation). This happened to us on a paid subscription. Effectively, your own data and project pipeline are held hostage unless you comply with their ever-changing billing rules.

Support has been largely unhelpful and entirely sales-driven. All of my interactions were with them, who are usually great salespeople, but did little to address any of the real concerns.

Roboflow has become more focused on upselling than supporting users. If you're building a serious product or ML pipeline, think very carefully before committing your team to their ecosystem.

Especially if you're a student or early-stage developer, don’t be fooled by their initial open-source-friendly messaging. Once you're locked in, even basic features like data augmentation cost credits per image, per training set.

Not only do I now have to explain this mess to our product owner, but I’m also having to migrate all our data, if we’re even allowed to access it again.

P.S. The Plan was paid annually. Now they’re asking us to buy more credits just to regain access, simply because we used features like Mosaic augmentation, which were originally promoted as standard and free (especially when introduced in YOLOv4).

Bait & switch, then no way out

Luring people in with potential promises of things like datasets, only to tell you that the free plan is too limited for the thing you signed up for.
That's one thing, but the bigger issue is that I found no way of deleting my account.
No account management to speak of at all, really.
