Extremely happy with the birdfeeder…

Extremely happy with the birdfeeder that I purchased from Roamwild. Great quality construction built to last a long time. And I received it within three or four days from ordering it online… That doesn’t happen very often anymore!

Arrogant response, it’s not them, sure.

I received the same arrogant reply I’ve seen in all your replies. Thumbed down mate.

Update, product is still broken, no offer to help repair or replace. Apparently it’s my fault.

Plastic is brittle and it breaks. Full stop.

Don’t buy anything from these wankers. Not worth the hassle.

Techie looking feeder with great glossy marketing that claims to beat the squirrels. I bought two and the squirrels have stayed out but they managed to get the entire feeder off the Shepards hook hanger and the feeder was found on the ground. When I tried to re-assemble I found the cheap plastic tabs on the bottom unit broke clean off. There's no way to fix it, it's dead. Feeder only made it 60 days, a new record for the squirrels. Other big complaint is the small capacity, I have to fill the feeder daily.

Dear Roy

We're sorry to hear about the issue with your feeder.

Regarding the feeder coming off the hook, this points to a couple of things worth checking. Firstly, if a feeder is hung too close to a pole or any surface a squirrel can brace against, they can apply significant leverage trying to reach the seed, which can dislodge the feeder from the hook entirely. We'd recommend at least 45cm (18 inches) of clearance from any nearby surface as per the instructions provided with the feeder, using a sturdy bracket of at least 18 inches in length. Secondly, the feeder coming off the hook itself suggests it wasn't secured tightly enough, using a smaller, tighter hook, or securing the feeder to the hook with wire, will prevent this from happening even under a determined squirrel's efforts.

On the breakage, the plastic tabs you mention are protected by the lower metal baffle collar when correctly fitted. If the tabs have broken, this suggests the collar was not properly seated in place at the time of the incident, leaving the tabs exposed and vulnerable to impact. When the collar is fitted correctly it shields these components and this kind of breakage shouldn't occur even if the feeder is knocked to the ground.

Regarding capacity, we do offer three sizes to suit different needs, a Compact at 1.25 litres, our standard size at 2 litres, and a Mega size at 4 litres for gardens with higher demand. If daily filling isn't ideal for your setup, our 2 litre or Mega feeder would likely suit you much better and significantly reduce how often you need to top it up.

Our PestOff range has sold over a million units across the UK and USA, has been independently recommended by the Telegraph and has received thousands of five-star reviews. We'd love to help you get this resolved, please do get in touch with us directly.

Poor service - don’t use

Replacement lower assemblies purchased as the existing ones spring mechanism had stopped going back up - leaving the feeding chamber open to be emptied by squirrels. 2 replacements delivered - 1 failed after being up for less than a week (roamwilf confirmed from a video it looked like missing a screw) the other is being pulled apart by squirrels - told roam wild they were not fit for purpose and got fobbed off - after much chasing they agreed a refund on one - minus vat and postage - erm your product failed - I shouldn’t be penalised - poor service, poor product - AVOID,

Dear Marie

Sorry to hear this. We'd like to address a few points as this review doesn't accurately reflect what took place.

We did not deduct VAT from your refund, VAT is included in UK retail pricing and is not a separate deduction we apply or withhold. We're not sure where this impression has come from but it is not accurate.

Regarding the two lower assemblies, our team reviewed the video and photos you sent. One unit appeared to be missing a screw holding the perch in place, which is unusual as our quality checks would normally catch this. As a goodwill gesture we refunded this item in full with no need to return it, despite it having been in use for around a week.

On the second unit, our team noted from the images that the components appeared to have been altered or interfered with in a way we don't typically see, which is why we asked some clarifying questions about how the parts were being used and positioned. We always ask these questions as standard when something is unusual, not to assign blame, and we're sorry if this felt like we weren't listening.

We did also explain the importance of correct feeder positioning and using the right feed type to ensure the spring mechanism performs as it should, which is genuinely useful information for getting the best from the product.

We're sorry you've lost confidence in the product after a long period of satisfaction with it, and we wish you well.

Kind regards,
The Roamwild Team

Five star for the idea!

Five star for the idea!
Alas, sadly the more they change the item the more difficult it is for our poor birds to get into the seed. GREEN FINCHES don’t stand a chance. Why make it so difficult? Why not leave it as it was? We didn’t have any spillages at all. So irritating to see the birds struggling.

I’m really disappointed with my…

I’m really disappointed with my experience so far.

I ordered an Airtushi on the Roamwild website for our toddler on the morning of Monday 22nd June for a family holiday departing on Sunday 28th June. I specifically ordered when I did because Roamwild states on its website that orders are dispatched within 48 hours. I also paid extra for Royal Mail 48-hour tracked delivery to make sure it would arrive in plenty of time.

However, as of today (27th June), the item hasn’t even been dispatched.

At no point did I think there would be an issue because I deliberately ordered early enough to meet the timescales advertised on their website. Unfortunately, because those timescales haven’t been honoured, we’re now left without a suitable travel option for our toddler for our holiday.

It’s a real shame, as I was looking forward to using the product. At this stage, I’m seriously considering returning it and purchasing from another company instead, as I don’t want to support businesses that fail to deliver on the commitments they advertise.

Dear Ryan

Thank you for your feedback and we completely understand your frustration given the timing with your family holiday.

We want to reassure you that your order was dispatched from our warehouse on 23rd June, the day after you ordered and well within our stated 48 hour dispatch window. We have confirmation of this at our end. The issue you are experiencing is that Royal Mail have not yet scanned the parcel into their tracking system, which unfortunately does happen on occasion and is entirely outside of our control once the parcel has left our warehouse.

Royal Mail 48 tracked refers to their delivery timeframe once the parcel is scanned into their network, it does not guarantee delivery within 48 hours of your order being placed. We're sorry if this wasn't clear and we completely understand how frustrating this is given your circumstances.

We would always recommend our next day delivery option for time-sensitive orders such as holiday purchases, which gives a greater level of certainty on delivery timescales.

Please do get in touch with us directly and we'll do everything we can to help track this down with Royal Mail as a matter of urgency.

Kind regards,
The Roamwild Team

Dear Shari

Thank you for your feedback and we're sorry to hear the birds haven't made the move across yet, please don't give up on it just yet!

We really do wish you had contacted us as this is something we help customers who have this issue with regularly and we're very confident we can get your birds back.

We'd recommend hanging the PestOff alongside one of your existing feeders rather than replacing them, and letting the old feeder run down without refilling. The birds will naturally transition across once the old feeders are empty. Positioning the feeder near a tree or bush gives the birds a safe retreat while they build confidence, and filling with 100% sunflower hearts is the single best way to attract smaller songbirds quickly.

Our PestOff range has sold over a million units across the UK and USA, has been independently recommended by the Telegraph and has received thousands of five-star reviews. Please do get in touch with us directly, we'd love to help you get this working and we're certain your birds will be back before long.

Dear Linda

We're sorry to hear you're frustrated, but we do need to set the record straight as this review does not accurately reflect what happened.

Your order was placed on 27th May for two feeders. The very next day, on 28th May, you contacted us to say you were unsure which feeder you wanted and asked us to hold your order while you decided. We agreed to do this as a courtesy, holding stock for a customer is not something we would normally do, particularly given the exceptional demand we are currently experiencing for our PestOff range.

On 9th June you confirmed you wanted the peanut feeder, and we dispatched it the following week. At the time of your confirmation we were experiencing extremely high demand and limited stock, which affected dispatch times.

We're sorry if the wait felt frustrating, but the delay was a direct result of the hold you requested on your own order. Had you confirmed your choice at the time of ordering your feeder would have been dispatched promptly. We went out of our way to accommodate your request and we're sorry this hasn't been reflected in your review.

Our PestOff range has sold over a million units across the UK and USA, has been independently recommended by the Telegraph and has received thousands of five-star reviews. We hope you enjoy your feeder when it arrives and we'd welcome the chance to change your mind about us.

Kind regards,

Don't Believe All They Say!

I have placed a number of orders for bird feeders and accessories but the last three orders were problematic and the customer service was appalling.

I ordered a tub of suet nuggets and a starling proof cage, on receipt I found, as other people have, that the packaging was extremely flimsy and the tub of nuggets had split open. The package didn't look like it had been abused as customer services suggeted when I finally got a reply from them. It is entirely possible to use environmentally friendly and reduced packing without leaving the items in the parcel open to damage so I do not accept their stock excuse of reduced packaging. They weren't really interested in hearing anything contrary to their view.

Another order for a couple of baffle rings hadn't arrived after 5 days and when I received a reply to my email after 2 days, I was told that the items had been sent and that I would have to wait for 10 days in case they turned up; they didn't turn up. They eventually sent replacement items.

The last order I placed on 11 June didn't arrive on the due date of 15 June and the courier returned the package to roamwild due to an incomplete address. The incomplete address was apparently my fault according to customer services! While the package was on its way back to them I got an email from roamwild asking me to pay an additional carriage charge for redelivery. Since they are responsible for getting goods to their customers I refused to pay the additional charge and after another 2 days they agreed to send the items without the additional charge but it was very begrudging and restated that it was not their fault that the package was incorrectly addressed. They received the package back on 17 June but when I asked for confirmation on 19 June that my order had been shipped I received a reply on 20 June saying that it had not shipped but it would be sent "right away". By 23 June my patience had run out so I cancelled the order and instigated a charge back to my credit card.

Looking at other reviews and my own experience I have come to the conclusion that roamwild seem to think they are never wrong, and they send confrontational replys to poor reviews. Their tardy responses to queries/emails is akin to dealing with a utility company not a family run business that they are so keen to promote. Their stock answer to criticism is that they have sold a million bird feeders however, we only have their word for that, but surely if it is true they must be able to afford to employ sufficient staff to deal with communications in a timely manner.

Nedless to say I will not be ordering anything else from roamwild.

Following contact with roamwild I have amended my review as they had shipped the order I had placed after I had cancelled it; they have not charged me for the goods.

Updated 14 August 2026
Unbelievably having told me that they would "absorb the cost" they tried to recharge my card but when I sent the bank a copy of their email stating the above my card was immediately credited again.
Roamwild then contacted me directly demanding payment or return of the goods. I returned the goods as I certainly want nothing to do with them any longer.
No doubt they will try to justify their position as they always seem to do but basically they are not the "caring" people that they like to present themselves as.

Dear Tony

We're sorry your recent experience hasn't been positive and we'd like to address each point you've raised.

Regarding the suet nuggets and packaging, sorry to hear this however we send thousands of parcels daily and packaging damage of this kind is extremely rare as our wider feedback reflects. When damage does occur it is almost always caused during transit with the courier rather than at our warehouse. We're sorry if our response felt dismissive, that was not our intention and we will always replace damaged items without question.

On the baffle rings, these are sent via a letterbox delivery service which can take longer than standard tracked parcels. We ask customers to allow up to 10 days before we investigate non-delivery, which is standard for this service. We're glad replacements were sent once the timeframe had passed.

Regarding the address issue, the delivery address on any order is entered by the customer at checkout and is entirely their responsibility to check before completing the purchase. We clearly state on our website that customers should double check all details before ordering, particularly when using express checkout options such as Apple Pay or Shop Pay which may auto-populate saved addresses. Royal Mail returned the parcel to us as the first line of your address was missing, this was not something we could have known or prevented at our end.

Despite having no obligation to do so, we agreed to resend your order at our own expense as a goodwill gesture. We're sorry if the communication around this felt begrudging, we genuinely tried to find a resolution. We acknowledge there was a delay in getting the resent order back out to you and we're sorry for that, however due to current huge unprecedented demand for our PestOff range deliveries are a little slower than usual and we are working around the clock to dispatch orders as quickly as we can.

On your wider comments, we understand your frustration and we're sorry you feel our responses to reviews are confrontational. We aim to be transparent and factual in all our responses. Our million units sold figure is accurate and a source of genuine pride for our small family team, who work very hard to fulfil the volume of orders we receive. We're sorry if response times have occasionally fallen short during this period of exceptional demand.
We're sorry to have lost you as a customer and we wish you well.

Kind regards,
The Roamwild Team

Great service and the birds love the feeders. We have blue tits, great tits, green finches, gold finches, (wood peckers - try but go for the fat balls), nut hatch, sparrows. Even the robins have learnt to use it. I use the corvid inserts to protect the peanuts from local crows and magpies. (Sorry, but there's plenty of road kill for them!)

The roamwild bird feeder really works

The roamwild bird feeder really does prevent squirrels from accessing the bird seeds/food inside the container. I recently bought one. As long as you hang it at least 18 inches from a pole, bush or tree the squirrel cannot get to the food. Even when they climb on it they just slide off. Great piece of kit. Saves wasted feed as the food cannot drop to the ground .
I have a video of the squirrel falling off.

Their squirrel free bird feeder is just as they say- no squirrels, no big birds, just lots of small garden birds. In my case all sorts of tits and goldfinch.
They encouraged me in the beginning because I bought just before Nesting season and having lived in the Country had never noticed the local birds being so shy, but maybe in a town environment they are much shyer. They are now in abundance!

Great product

After giving up feeding birds because my previous feeder spilled so much seed, I tried a Roamwild feeder. Was a bit worried at first as it took weeks for the birds to use it. Now I am delighted as I have so many beautiful small birds feeding with minimal spillage. Great product.
