Such a positive experience with Balal at Road Pilot Driving School! He was patient, calm and very encouraging helping build her confidence. He was easy to deal with and offered flexibility in his approach to lessons . She passed first time and couldn’t be happier. We’re very thankful for all his help and would highly recommend him.

Balal is a brilliant driving instructor, I had been doing lessons with him for just over a year and I can honestly say that he is such a helpful, patient and encouraging instructor who always encouraged and believed in me from day one. When I first started learning to drive I was very nervous about getting behind the wheel since I only had a couple of lessons a few years back but Balal soon made that mindset I had disappear and helped me gain my confidence back with each lesson I had as well as teach me multiple techniques which really came in handy on the roads. All the advice and encouragement he gave me in each lesson finally payed off when I passed my test in November 2025. I would recommend Balal to anyone who is looking for a calm, reliable and patient driving instructor.

Balal was really easy to work with. His communication was brilliant, really inclusive, didn't cancel appointments and took on my son at short notice when he had been let down by a different instructor.

Took me from a complete novice to a first time pass. As someone who wasn’t overly enthusiastic about learning to drive to begin with, he made it an all round great experience.

Balal was great from day one. Being an older learner I was nervous about starting the learning process, but Balal made me feel comfortable and confident which made the process easier than expected

The best instructor in Glasgow! I struggled all my life with driving and I took lessons on and off with different instructors and was quickly discouraged or made to feel uncomfortable. But then I found this gem of an instructor. I would recommend everyone to choose Balal for their driving lessons, he is patient, calm, relaxed and will set you up for success. I have enjoyed our lessons (as much as you can enjoy a driving lesson haha) and I'm happy to say that I passed my test on the first attempt. I felt really prepared as I knew really well the roads chosen during the test and nothing came as a surprise. If you don't know who to choose for your automatic lesson, I advise you to consider Balal as he is flexible and creates a safe, comfortable atmosphere whilst driving. I started my driving lessons with Balal in April 2024 after nearly a year break since learning how to drive in a different (much smaller) city and with a different instructor. While I had the basics down and was at an okay level of driving, Balal was realistic with me what there was still to learn to confidently drive in Glasgow.

Balal taught me some great techniques. I especially felt I understood his method on how to carry out manoeuvres really helpful. Previously I struggled with the parallel park and reverse bay park, but Balal made it seem so simple.

After a few attempts, I finally passed my test just in time for the new year. I would put down my previous failed attempts down to nerves and making silly mistakes of my own. Balal was always great at going over what went down on my driving test, talking through it and ironing out any mistakes I was doing.

My final test ended up being during adverse conditions - high winds, dark and heavy rain, but I felt calm going in with everything Balal taught me. I finished up that day with just 4 minors and ready to get on the road as a confident driver!

I passed 1st time with Balal in June, and I couldn’t recommend him enough as a driving instructor.

From day one I felt confident and completely at ease. Every lesson was beneficial and Balal ensured I was learning at a pace that was right for me, while encouraging me every step of the way. I always felt comfortable to ask questions and my instructors approach to teaching was calm, logical, and friendly.

I was (and still am!) ecstatic to have passed first time, all thanks to Balal and the support I was given from day 1!

I started learning with Balal Tariq in Jan 2024, and after just over 3 months of lessons later he helped me (finally!) pass my driving test in my 40's! I'd taken lessons years ago and had developed a lot of anxiety around driving, partially due to my experiences with a previous instructor. Balal was incredibly helpful in helping me manage this, to actually enjoy driving, and to become confident in my ability to do so. He ensured that I was able to take things at a pace which I was comfortable with whilst also challenging me to develop my skills, and whenever I was unsure about anything it didn't feel like there were any 'stupid questions' that I couldn't approach him with. I would 100% recommend him to any prospective learner drivers.

I recently had the pleasure of learning to drive with Balal and I cannot recommend him highly enough. As a 31-year-old who had always been nervous about driving, I was initially very anxious about starting lessons. However, Balal’s patience and kindness made all the difference.

From the very first lesson, he put me at ease with his calm demeanor and clear instructions. He never rushed me, always taking the time to explain things thoroughly and ensuring I felt comfortable before moving on to new skills.
