ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! ORDERED A MONTH AGO. HEARD NOTHING AT ALL FOR 2 WEEKS. WHEN I FOLLOWED UP, WAS TOLD THEY WOULD PRIORITISE THE ORDER. A WEEK LATER HALF THE ORDER TURNED UP (ONLY AFTER HAVING TO CHASE THEM UP AGAIN). ALSO PROMISED $20 VOUCHER FOR INCONVENIENCE CAUSED BY THIER TERRIBLE SERVICE. THE OTHER HALF OF THE ORIGINAL ORDER WAS EVENTUALLY CANCELLED AS THEY THEN REALISED THEY HAD NO STOCK OF THE ITEM. A REFUND PROMISED. THE $20 VOUCHER NEVER WAS RECEIVED AND WHEN I ASKED ABOUT IT THEY BACKPEDELLED AND WOULD NOT PROVIDE VOUCHER. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH

This company is soooo bad

This company is soooo bad, there's no sense writing a bad review, because they are not going to change ... they simply do not care! I forgot ... I forgot that Rivers is owned by Mosaic... I forgot and ordered from them, and I have no one to blame but myself. I swore I'd never order from a Mosaic company again! I wrote them,and keep getting automated responses telling me they will answer soon, but they don't answer. Ordered 2 prs shoes,size 37,as usual, but one is too large and one or is too small. The quality is not good,they are simply hopeless, DON'T BOTHER ... Save yourself a lot of time, no contact, no refunds, nothing. That they are allowed to operate in Australia is downright criminal.

the rivers stores are fine

the rivers stores are fine, the online system is abysmal, they take your money, you wait a month for a delivery, the tracking numbers are incorrect or unrecognised and the online response from rivers is questionable. Must be an IT glitch, we have re initiated your order, however you may not receive the items dependent on availability, or in other cases you get an email saying we have refunded the money, not all of the items on your purchased list and you should see it in 7 days. then the circus continues.

Went into Rivers Gympie yesterday 28 Nov 2022 and the customer service was excellent. Carol and the young man were helpful and very friendly and it was a pleasure doing business in this store, would recommend this store to everyone.

Tried without success to rectify a…

Tried without success to rectify a problem experienced picked up/noticed immediately after I received my invoice.Due to their on line problems they were experiencing they randomly selected without my selecting!!! a click n collect destination of NSW and I live in WA some 3500kms away.The person I spoke to either didn't know how to /or couldn't care to resolve the problem.When I asked to speak to a supervisor she hung up on me.
I'm sorry I never read the overwhelming majority of negative responses before I ordered...lesson learned...hoping others can avoid this below par "Customer DON'T CARE " experience .

NOW UPGRADED TO 4STARS****
The next day I took up advice previously posted here advising to EMAIL them [not to be confused with customer complaint section on their website].I don't know where those people are based,however the response was quick efficient and they rectified to my satisfaction.The added advantage is that you have WRITTEN confirmation of all your dealings with them,especially if/where required in case of a dispute.Totally different /professional approach by this team handling my concerns.Avoid phoning the call center in Philippines you'll save unnecessary waste of time and avoid stress.

Most undisbelievably poor service both in…

Most unbelievably poor service both in store and online! Slow deliveries, missing items, no answering emails, socials messages, when you call to complain they just hang up on you. This company and its subsidiaries (millers, Katie's, autograph, beme, rockmans etc) are doomed to fail. Head office, Mosaic brands; you should be ashamed of your service and work ethic.

Instore staff were very helpful

I ordered a couple of polo shirts online, but when they arrived they were too big. I travelled into my nearest store, and even though I'd forgotten my purchase receipt, the staff were super helpful and assisted with my exchange for a smaller size and a colour change.

I would have given them 5 stars, but they don't have free returns, and their exchange system didn't work very well and the staff had to process it several times.

If you want your order, do this!

Unfortunately I did not read reviews before purchasing! I ordered my clothes and then found these absolutely horrible reviews! After 3 days of no status updates I emailed rivers as I was very worried my order would not come like the rest of these reviews.
In my email I made reference to these reviews, said that if I dont receive my order I will get my money off paypal and will be reporting to FCCC. I also told them to not bother with their range of excuses (COVID, aus post, floods, logistic services) as I would not buy it.
My order was promptly delivered the next day lol.
Would recommened sending an email like this if you are in the same boat - they seem to only respond to threatening emails about reporting them to fair trade as others have said so I thought i'd give it a shot and low and behold - delivery in 4 days.

Rivers Avoid online store!!

Hi, Online shoppers avoid this company, the retail store is fine but online oredered on 27th Sept, on 7th oct one item arrived the other 7 items did not, contacted them they said was shipped on 8th oct , really I order on 27th Sept and you dispatch on 8th oct, then stated it will take from 2 to 14 days to arrive, Hopeless service.

Failure to Deliver or Refund

Bought some clothing items from them, received invalid tracking and shipping information. Contacted the company multiple times and they say until they have done nothing to resolve this. Their customer service sucks and i would not recommend to anyone to buy from this company!

Disgraceful service. Purchased a couple polo shirts which were to arrive in 2-14 business days. They never arrived. I was provided a false tracking number. Have made contact numerous times for no response. I have come to the conclusion that there is nothing more I can do

Don’t even bother buying anything from them…

Purchased a vacuum stick and it broke down after second use! Emailed Rivers to advise and provided video evidence of the defect twice!! Here I am three weeks later and they still cannot help me with organising the return of faulty vacuum and refund my money. Their customer service team seem to be a bunch of puppets who continue to advise me that they are awaiting their supplier to provide a response, they even got me to contact and direct my issue to their supplier. I’m sorry, I purchased the goods from Rivers, as the retailer, Rivers should organise a return authority and refund my money once faulty item is received, why am I supposed to wait?!? Surely the way in which they are operating and conducting their return service process is a matter for the ACCC!

Rivers Substandard shoes.

Rivers Substandard shoes.
Bought a pair of shoes about 2 years ago.
They were kept "for best" so worn about 6 times.
Last time I wore them the heal collapsed and split, synthetic rubber (?)
Took them to Rivers Kippa Ring store today for refund/replacement.
Shop Manager.
"there is a six month warrantee on shoes whether you wear them or not. The synthetic soles do not last long especially if you do not wear them often".
When I said, "that is ridiculous the shoes are basically new", I then asked "is that information displayed anywhere in the shop".
The manager then called Security and I was escorted from the store. I am 86 and ~$50 is a lot of money to throw in the garbage.
I have bought a lot of clothing from Rivers over the years, now I am advising (senior) citizens not to buy Rivers substandard shoes. Their jeans in the past have been excellent.

Disgusting service

Disgusting service. I ordered some New Balance Shoes from their website. I heard nothing for 3 weeks so I filed the online complaint form. Received a standard reply about covid and delays in mail. I waited another 3 weeks and filed another form this time telling them what I thought of their service. A few days later I got an email saying that my order had been cancelled and a refund would be issued. No apology and no explanation. This is a terrible way to treat their customers and I will not be ordering from Rivers online again. They deserve no stars but that's not an option!!!!!
