While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Reviewtree.com illegally captured my data without consent

Reviewtree.com illegally captured my data without consent. Then the data was used against me at the business. I was sent a survey Feb 3, 2025 from Reviewtree for my experience at veterinarian office. I had a "draft" and did not complete or send the review. Reviewtree.com captured all my data and sent to vet's office. From Feb 4-Feb 20th I received below standard of care from Vet based on this illegal capture of data. The review that I did not post was weaponized against myself and my critical dog. On Feb 10th my dog received poor treatment at the vet clinic by staff and Dr. Then Feb 20th was my final appointment. I was told by Vet staff that I was no longer a client based on a review I posted on Feb 4. I told her I never posted a review and the staff said we have your review. I contacted ReviewTree to get a copy of the draft that I did not send or consent to. I was told “we have nothing to do with it we are just a third party”. This company stole my data and pretended they had nothing to do with it. Despite owning the company and software and posting reviews for their doctors on google. Also, I asked the vet for a copy of the review when I contacted Reviewtree.com and they did not provide me the unauthorized review. Therefore, I will have to contact government agencies and file complaints for the data breach since as of Feb 24, 2025 Reviewtree.com thinks they are exempt from providing my data after I repeatedly requested a copy. They are violating my Individuals Rights of Access. They need to redesign their software to ask for consent on the website. If the client does not send the data, Reviewtree LLC should not captured data and send to Doctor offices. This act violates my privacy and consent. ReviewTree is liable for harm that was caused by their business practices.
