Absolutely nailed it. Christmas work party, mixed ages and we had almost everyone on the dance floor. Would highly recommend and will be booking for next year and maybe my 50th.

Absolutely nailed the vibe for my 40th birthday. The 90s music theme was spot on, and the set was brilliant from start to finish. Resident DJ played and mixed loads of our requests from a playlist my friends and I put together, and it all flowed perfectly. The dancefloor always had guests on it which was great to see! A proper throwback party and exactly what we wanted, would highly recommend!

Rob was friendly and professional. Arrived on time as arranged. The party was 90’s themed and he got everyone up and dancing to some great tunes. Would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rob is teaching me to DJ. It’s been an easy and professional arrangement that’s completely suited my needs.

He has vast knowledge of both the software and hardware and is therefore really helpful when it comes to navigating all the stuff you don't realise you don't know, if that makes sense. What I mean is he helps you to make sense of all of the different options and ways to go about things, on a technical front, which you need to know in order to progress. It’s quite a head-doer, but Rob patiently and respectfully helps you to make sense of it all.

His technical DJ skill seem to be incredible. And he has some really straightforward ways to help you get your music set up so it works for you.

What I like most tho, is that Rob is completely open to supporting me how I want to learn, so if my style is different to his, he’ll adapt to me, rather than steering me to adapt to his way, so his approach still allows me my autonomy, even tho he’s the pro and I’m the novice.

And Robs wonderfully supportive and encouraging, which makes him a great teacher, and you can tell DJing is his passion, which makes it infectious.

100% I’d recommend Rob for lessons. I haven’t heard him play out, but given how busy he is with it, he must be good.

I cannot recommend Resident DJ as a coach highly enough. He has been exceptionally supportive, not only during our coaching sessions but also well beyond them. In sessions, he is consistently encouraging, always recognising and praising the progress being made, which has been incredibly motivating. He has an excellent ability to judge when to introduce new skills or techniques, ensuring steady development without ever feeling overwhelmed.

Outside of sessions, his support has been just as impressive. He has always been generous with his time, offering technical assistance, thoughtful feedback, and practical advice whenever needed. His dedication, patience, and genuine investment in my progress have made a huge difference to my confidence and skills as a DJ. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for professional, supportive, and highly effective DJ coaching.

Rob was fantastic from start to finish. He spent time on the phone talking through the vibe I was after, and when I made a playlist of suggestions he managed to weave loads of tunes into his set brilliantly. He arrived early and helped the other acts with their music as well as playing a warm-up set before his scheduled time. During the night he read the room and kept people dancing. Lots of positive comments on the music. Rob was friendly, professional and communicative throughout. Would not hesitate to recommend him for an event - and I would travel to see him play out his own sets.

6 stars. Rob is a superb dj and a top bloke. Very best tune selection, faultless mixing and really good fun. He really made a great night for us and I cannot recommend him enough.

Last night Rob DJ'd for our wedding anniversary party and he was amazing! His approach was so personal and friendly and he really took the time to listen to our music requests and make suggestions. He made us a mini mix to showcase his style which was really helpful. On the night he blew us away with some old school house, rave and Ibiza, with some cheeky funky house edits of tracks from Madonna, Sister Sledge, House Of Pain, with originals. Plus Prodigy Firestarter and Sweet Sensation for the big finish.
Everyone was super impressed and would highly recommend 😊

I was booked by Rob at Resident DJ to perform at an art gallery exhibition in Newcastle. From the outset, Rob's clear communication and detailed information about the client's brief made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

It is clear that Rob has built a great deal of trust with his clients by repeatedly delivering a high standard of service. Having worked with Rob myself, I can see why. He did his due diligence prior to making the booking to ensure the DJ's he books are of the standard his clients expect, and was always on hand to answer any questions I had to enable me to deliver the best performance possible.

My first experience was a few years ago at a private event. The music was so good for an event like this, I actually reached out to the DJ for that reason and we did talk music to a couple of more times they were djing at that event.
The music made the event better in fact.
Most recently they were djing at a club night and they did not disappoint with a much different vibe. They definitely are passionate about their craft and it does really show. Highly recommend.

Rob was part of our at home wedding reception. We asked for an ambient, Cafe del Mar vibe and he delivered that and so much more. In a small venue he was able to weave some magic in that when you were in the music and dancing it was a complete experience yet you could still chat to your fellow dancers. For those sitting around, they were able to enjoy the music yet chat comfortably. Rob completely read the room, bringing a little funk and disco as the mood reflected it. Super communication before and after the event and all round good guy - cannot recommend more highly.

Unbelievable DJ…… super versatile, can handle any individual requests playlists genres etc that I am sure of! Done our engagement party made a great job of it have now booked in for the wedding really looking forward to it. Rob did a set at our wedding playing Ibiza classics which went down a storm. He was friendly and accommodated our every need, even setting up three times in order to give us some external music whilst dodging a bit of rain. We are very grateful to him and it really set the tone for the rest of the evening!
