We did 2 round with Repromed Galway. 1st one public funded and 2nd round private. I have to say the only 5stars I can give overall after both rounds is to the nursing team and admin staff.
First round we got 10 eggs and just got 2 blastocyst. 1st ended in a missed miscarriage and FET failed. As I was 39 at the time I asked at consultation prior to our 2nd round could there be further testing done before starting a 2nd round. All they offered was DNA Fragmentation for my Partner and RPL Bloods for myself.
2nd round my stims was increased to a much higer dose. We ended up with just 4 eggs collected and 1 blastocyst. Transfer happen to be over the weekend. We were shocked that there was only a consultant (whom was on call in GUH and was on duty there most of the night) and a lab staff member. We never got a scan picture of our transfer and as we had a family wedding the same day we forgot to ask for it at the time. That sadly ended in a Miscarriage too. They was no copy of the scan picture kept on file?? Most important scan of all.
I did log a complaint and it was dealt with but doesnt change anything for us.
Overall I feel they are a one size fits all and you are just on a convyer belt. The reason being is..
I got my gynaecologist to refer me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic and from there I was referred to an immunologist for investigations and turns out I have immune issues. My body was attacking my embroyos
This would never have being pick up in Galway.
Don't just go there for convience. Travel the extra miles to be treated as an individual.

I deeply regret choosing this clinic for IVF treatment. My experience has been marked by poor medical oversight, lack of transparency, questionable clinical decisions, and a clear prioritization of revenue over patient well-being.
During my first IVF attempt, I had 5 fertilized embryos. Two degenerated, and one was categorized as 5CC — which is still considered viable and commonly transferred in many successful pregnancies. Instead of discussing this with me, the clinic discarded it without my consent or prior consultation. That is unacceptable and disrespectful to a patient’s rights and reproductive opportunities.
At the time of my first frozen embryo transfer, my anti-TPO antibodies were around 900 and my TSH was 3.80 — both highly relevant to autoimmune fertility outcomes. The clinic had these results and completely ignored them. No one discussed thyroid factors, implantation risk, or protocols to reduce antibodies. As expected, that embryo did not implant.
For the second frozen embryo transfer, they required an additional expensive HCG flush. The next day, I was told the embryo did not survive the thawing — or potentially that an error occurred during thawing — but with no explanation and zero accountability. There was, of course, no refund for this failure.
Just 5 days later, they pushed me into another stimulation cycle, changing the protocol from antagonist to agonist. The result was only 3 eggs collected, just 1 mature, and another failure. During this cycle, they also never rechecked my TSH or anti-TPO levels, despite their known clinical importance.
Before egg retrieval, they already knew I had only 4 follicles, but they never asked whether I wished to proceed or cancel — they simply pushed me into the procedure, treating me like a paying subject rather than an informed patient.
From my experience, Dr. Andreas and this clinic demonstrated unprofessionalism, disregard for informed consent, and a financial-driven approach that overshadows patient care. I lost time, money, and emotional energy — and when I requested a refund due to the failed stimulation and mishandling of embryos, it was promptly denied.
This clinic did not respect my medical results, my reproductive options, or my right to informed decision-making.
If you value ethical treatment, honest communication, and proper medical care — avoid this clinic entirely.

I only used this clinic because it was the only option covered by insurance in Ireland. As someone else posted, I agree it felt like a converyor belt experience, with little transparency, lack of personalized patient experience, lack of sympathy and extra hidden costs. For instance, there was no clear explanation why FET was the only option rather than fresh transfer. They never explained to me, but they charged over an extra 1-2k euros because of it. Almost all communication was through the portal with no real option to talk to anyone. Some pluses if you do use them are the nurses, admin staff and some of the doctors are very nice, and their online portal system was good. Since then, I have used another clinic and the experience was night and day.
If you are forced to use them for insurance reasons/location, I would ask clear explanations for each step of treatment. I would recommend looking at all reviews and make a list of questions to ask them before agreeing to treatment or paying anything.

In main terrible experience — being passed from different staff members none of whom seem well-versed or familiar with my medical history or treatment

We had high hopes for this busy clinic, where the staff were individually friendly. However, our overall experience was very disappointing, and we wanted to share it to set realistic expectations for others.
Early on it felt like we were just another number. Reaching them was difficult, as it was only via portal and you didn’t know when you would get response and then when issues arose (and we had numerous big ones), compensation was lacking.
One major issue we had was receiving a confusing 3-day embryonic development update when only 48 hours had passed. As the lab closed on weekends, we struggled to get clarity and no answered the phone leaving us to believe our journey was over until we finally spoke to someone who admitted a mistake – more embryos had developed than we'd been told and our file had been placed in day 3 although it had only been 2days.
Our confidence wavered at this point but we stayed positive. Another major red flag occurred as we paid the extra thousands for PGT-A testing and received two "no results," which we learned later is statistically unlikely. When we asked for an explanation, we basically got a "too bad" response, with no discount being offered, adding to our frustration.
And so we continued to arrive out for appointments, walking the stairs as the lift was broken. A fitting metaphor for this place.
The experience felt more transactional, you were a number rather a name to those at the desk and similar to how restaurants offer unnecessary add-ons you always felt like you were a customer rather a client. Glue add ons for example were an example of this and just felt greedy. 11,000 in and all the mistakes and your asked do you want the extra glue for 150euro? Of course will it help? It might?? Go ahead!! Squeeze every euro.
After the embryo implantation, we were told to return in two weeks for a pregnancy test without any hormone level checks or advice, which I now know is crucial for maintaining a pregnancy. There was no scan or checking white blood cells to see if the body is attacking the implanted embryo.
Sadly, we lost the pregnancy, and although it took time to share this, we feel it’s important for others to be aware of these issues.
It was an anticlimactic finish, We got a call saying it’s negative but we were never asked about our experience. The door closed to one number and opened to a new. Good luck to everyone on this journey. Just arm yourself with the right questions and knowledge as we were very trusting. We had our experience in November 2023 but just now have the headspace to share. Understand this is a profit making machine which will push add ons, make mistakes, refuse compensation and doesn’t seem to care about any follow up once the check has cleared.

I went to the ReproMed Clinic in Dundrum. I had Health Insurance that covered some of my treatment I informed them of this. The first question on their survey was do you have Health Insurance. I responded yes and what Company. Then then gave me a Doctor who was not registered with that Insurance Company. So I was not able to claim anything. They would not refund me the difference. I then went to Beacon Fertility a totally professional experience where the test you and your partner on the first appointment. Don't waste your time and money at ReproMed.
I had an online consultation with a Dr earlier in the year. She was 20 minutes late for the meeting (can be seen from my call list). She did not apologise for this when she showed up. Her excuse was that we are busy. I paid a considerable amount of money for this meeting. I think €200. It was insensitive. For the Dr not seeming to care or be aware that this is an emotional process is insensitive and does not reflect a professional that I would trust with such a sensitive process that IVF is.
The team in Galway were so amazing. I done the egg freezing cycle and would not hesitate to go back and do more or to continue on further in the future for other options available to have children. Every time I stepped foot in the door I was welcomed with a smile and how are you today or nice to meet you, nice to see you again. The receptionist team were always kind and friendly. I am not the best getting my bloods done but the nurses were always so gentle and understanding. I dealt with Jenny, Sarah and Fiona and they were always such a pleasure and knew exactly what they were doing and so informative, I spoke with Dr. Shafi before doing egg retrieval and she was just so lovely and informative and she had done my procedure today along with Sarah and they were both such a pleasure. I cannot thank Galway ReproMed enough for my egg freezing this puts me at ease that they collected many eggs that I can one day hopefully fulfil my dream of becoming a Mum. Thank you so much I cannot thank you all enough. ❤️ 100 stars ⭐️
"Galway team. I coudl not be happier. A team of absolute professionals ! every person on the team is an expert in the field. Use of evidence-based practice with the most up-to-date information provided at all time. Extremely person-centred and client-focused and also very empathetic and kind ! The nursing team, including Fiona & Shauna, were simply amazing. Dr Ernesto and Maxi in the embryo lab were also exceptional ! I would give 100 out of 100% !!! "
I have had two rounds of IVF with Galway and did Genetic Testing we didnt get positive results on either occasion, while we went back to Galway, I dont think I could recommend the clinic.
The nurses are so lovely as are the Doctors and the Lab team.
However, when we received our Genetic results there is never a follow-up call its just this is it and done.
Our second round of results are doctor was away so we got them again over the phone from a different doctor one of the results would have been very sensitive to us and it was like the doctor didnt read our file. You dont take information especially when its bad news in on a call. When we asked for a follow-up call it was booked but we had to pay for a few of e100 which I dont think is good enough. I think it should be part of the very expensive package.
Also, I feel like nothing is explained so ask questions especially through the scans as is that good or bad or is it where they would want it to be at each stage.
I also found that before the egg retrievals your in a room only divided by a curtain and hear all conversations.
I highly recommend Repromed Galway as fertility specialists. From day one, the care & service provided by all the staff was top class. Their warmth, professionalism and expertise gave me full confidence in my treatment plan and care.
The culture in Repromed could be felt walking through the door from Linda on reception with her big smile and always having my certs for work ready to go, to all the nurses Sarah, Shauna, Fiona and Helen, I could not have went through everything without you! Thank you for making me comfortable at all scans and procedures and for the reassurance and transparency at all times. Also your attention to detail is out of this world!
To Toyia in the GFC lab for first time quality testing and attention to detail. A massive thanks to Dr. Zaib & Dr. Ehab for your transparency throughout the whole process, your gifted hands, exceptional knowledge and care throughout my treatment and egg retrieval (including a hug when I needed it)! You all make what seems impossible, possible! I finally found my fertility family at Repromed, thank you so so much!👪 🤍
From the very beginning, I had such a positive and heartwarming experience with Repromed Ireland. It felt secure and straightforward to book appointments online or via phone and to process all the payments and necessary paperwork.
My treatment (egg freezing) has been a success and such an easy process. The team handles everything, from providing clear information about the treatment, medication, fees as well as adding all of the necessary details on the online portal, so that you don’t miss an injection or appointment etc.
The whole journey from the first consultation to the actual egg freezing procedure lasted only one month and I felt at all times taken care of and on the best hands.
I would like to thank the Reception and Nursing teams as well as Dr Ernesto and Dr Arce. I could not recommend you all enough.
Stay away and contact another clinic. Worst experience, apart from the nursing team I'd be very doubtful of the qualifications of the rest of the staff. Their main concern was money and after they recieve your money they don't care. The miss communication was insane. I first met with a consultant called Dr Conway, it was only months afterwards during an apt I saw another doctors name written and I queried it, only than was I told Dr Conway had left and they'd changed me to someone else, whom I never ever met. They charged for every single zoom call and even for a phone call once.
I was asked for a urine test before an endo scratch and they forgot to do the urine test, I had to message saying I found my sample on the bed afterwards. The room for the egg collection is only divided by thin curtains so you can hear everyone's private details it's like a ward back in the ages with horrible hospital beds, compared to the likes of the beacon where you have a huge private room to yourself and your partner.
I was treated so roughly by a female doctor for an endometrial scratch I was crying both emotionally and from physical discomfort of her rough treatment that afterwards she turned to a nurse and said give her some paracetamol to stop her crying. On another occasion when I collected my prescription in the pharmacy close by the clinic after traveling miles for an appointment when I got home I realised they had given me the wrong prescription as the portal med instructions didn't match the meds I'd received. Dr Hans phoned me after my 2nd failed transfer and coldly said basically humans aren't designed to reproduce easily you can be lucky or unlucky. They told me after paying for Icsi that I'd be better doing ivf the NEXT time as I'd been over stimulated, something they should have been in control of.
Honestly I would stay so far away from this place as possible. Worst experience ever, all they care about is your money. We were advised to contact our solicitor and we did, they felt we'd a very strong case but I was too exhausted to follow through.
Fantastic team who provide the most supportive and encouraging service. We have created our 3 children via repromed Kilkenny and dublin and I can't recommend the 2 clinics any higher. Fantastic Dr's, Nurses, admin etc. Very LGBT+ friendly. Highly recommend.
From day one of enquiries the whole team at Repromed have been nothing but supportive. Their professional, sensitive approach to our IVF journey has been very much appreciated. Their knowledge, communication and dedication has meant that we had a very successful first round of IVF which has lead to a very healthy pregnancy.
I will be forever grateful to Repromed for making our dream a reality and look forward a hopefully similar experience in the near future.
Their portal support is also top class and very much appreciated.
We paid €150 to have testing done, only to be emailed a report that made zero sense to us. We were left completely in the dark, no follow up & no return phone call after numerous attempts to get answers. There is zero customer service in this company. They only want your money & after they have it, you will not hear from them. I would avoid at all cost & try other avenues such as Homeopathy, which worked for us a few months after going to repromed. We are now enjoying a health pregnancy. Theres a very good Homeopath in Tuam that is much more worthy of your money. This place is an absolute disgrace, and waste of your time.
I have been really supported throughout my journey with ReproMed, Everyone involved in my care was always willing to listen, and provide explanations to any questions I had. I attended the Kilkenny/Dublin clinics and can’t thank them enough.
Dreadful. Stay away from them. The experience is challenging enough without adding their greed, ineptitude & lies to your difficulties.
I cannot speak more highly of repromed Galway. From the first consultation right up to the transfer everything was smooth, stress free and each and every staff member throughout the process could not have been nicer. Having changed from another clinic who I had been attending for 2 years and getting nowhere the difference with repromed was night and day.
I absolutely would recommend repromed Galway, we were successful on our first transfer and have the staff to thank for a completely stress free experience. 5 stars.
